You would like this concerto more on a Lyon&Healy harp - the lower notes would enrich the harmonies, adding a great richness to the sound! Beautiful playing!

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. It rivals the flue and harp concerto of Mozart. The harmony of the harp and the strings is so soothing and peaceful. 4:33 4:35

Actually my daughter had one go recently during a competition. She rewote it in her head and played around the broken string and took first place. We have found it can happen anywhere, any time, it's all part of the instrument.

Beautifully played! The only thing I find slightly annoying is the music stand, most harpists and soloist in general at this level have the piece memorized. Other than that, sheer perfection!

This piece was written in 1800 so actually a bit old fashioned but I love it a lot! You know they use the music in “de Efteling” :D

J'aime beaucoup, c'est ciselé raffiné, enjoué.. Que du plaisir. (la prise de son dans celui-ci ne rend pas justice à la harpe, c'est un peu "maigre"....

Not terribly often in concert. It does happen, but usually the harpist can tell if one is about to go. Nylon ones start to be “false” - they become harder to keep in tune...gut strings start to show signs of wear, they have a spiral twist that starts to open up and little shreds can be visible. The big bass strings on the lower end rarely break. My brother’s harp strings would occasionally break in the middle of the night when I was a kid. One of them would suddenly go “byong!”.
