This was a joy to listen to, matt. Towards the end, you mentioned how your central philosophical questions are moving towards human potentialities and away from strictly cosmology. Who has had a large impact on you lately in this regard?

Let's make believe that the word "thing" is a contraction of "theo-ing" (a god-doing: a process in action) and see what happens.

It seems so obvious that the world is not yet finished... That at least some degree of meaningful free choice and potential really exist.. are these concepts are not just illusions of a depressing block universe. Thanks for the reminder.

I kinda like the choice of music you use. It makes it easy to connect with the insight you've shared.

This is beautiful also at a poetic level. Medium = message in a positive way.

Really beautiful. I especially appreciated the understanding of the world as a gift. So much being before our time, so much work and desire and seeing and feeling and thinking and everything else, all leading to this irreplaceable moment that arises for me, fully formed by all the beings of the past for me to enjoy, if I can.

Wow, Matt -- that is absolutely Beautiful! Not necessarily the graphics, per se (they were repeating patterns yet pretty too), but your delivery and message. Whitehead says all of that? You sure have condensed his difficult prose into an eloquent process of explaining participatory philosophy -- e.g., I never heard Wilber explain Alfred so well either (and he is deeply admired in Wilber's work) -- indeed, I just became a "Whiteheadian"! However, I do wish you didn't have to resort to Steiner so much as your go-to for spiritual metaphysics (but I guess that comes from CIIS), yet it evaporates in the excellence of your philosophical contemplations about this creative genius of evolutionary involvements beyond theories and processes on every scale, the creative unfolding of God/Spirit-in-action... wow! I've been watching you for a while now, always fascinated with your calm demeanor and depth of insight but this one cuts the cake, buddy. You are a voice for the future Integral Age -- keep participating in this evolutionary unfolding; we need (not so) younger people like yourself reinterpreting our further footnotes to Plato! Bravo! I see the light (better). Da!

This video is akin to saying "I don't believe in -isms", except actually meaning it in a productive way. I have not read much of Whitehead, but the fact that I can seamlessly make a transition to your vocabulary implies that your perspective is indeed processual and open-ended. And that's why it's worth following this channel.

I would be very much interested in a synopsis of Whitehead and Steiner. From your video it seems they share a lot in common. Unfortunately I didn’t yet come into contact with Whiteheads Philosophy, so I wondered if you already attempted a kind of comparison 🙏🏼

I would be especially interested in what Whitehead thinks about human freedom in this process of becoming/unifying

Metaphorically, in Neoplatonism, being a "ray of the sun" symbolizes participating in a greater unity while still having an individual identity or role. It implies dependence on the source (the sun) for existence, purpose, and energy, and a constant connection to that source. It also suggests a responsibility or role: just as a ray illuminates and brings life, each thing that emanates from the One contributes to the unfolding of existence and reflects the unity of its origin.
