In this clip, Peter Shue talked about his first stint in prison and how he was initially “scared to death” behind the idea. However, Peter said he eventually got to the place where he did prison time “like I drink wine.” He also spoke about his tall height being a unique attribute of his due to being Chinese and how that was a dead giveaway while putting him in a police lineup. Later in the clip, Peter Shue talked about whether the idea he had in his mind of what prison was like actually matched the reality when he finally served his bid. Peter recounted an incident where a large 6’8 inmate stole his shoes and what he had to do in order to get them back.

Prior to this interview i've never heard of him and read his story after and he has a very interesting story.

There’s something about this guy that itches me the wrong way. I get this sort of energetic feeling that Peter was never a “ real street dude. “ Anyone can pick up drugs and then bag up the drugs for retail street sales. He tries to come across as an ex con who was one of the tough guys back then. People need to be themselves no matter what the truth may be. The respect will go much further.

Mac speaks like Shue, similar statures as well, I think Mac is about 6’1”, they’ve both done time, both from NY, etc. He’s a good candidate.

They don’t have to necessarily have to get an actor that is actually 6’3. An actor can be 5’8 and still play as him in a movie. It’s called camera angles and putting together a supporting cast based on the lead actors height. Just saying

If they got a 5’8” actor to play him, everyone else on the cast would have to be like 5’3”-5’4”, not plausible. Would make more sense for a short actor portraying him to where platform shoes, like Robert De Niro did in The Irishman, and for the studio to hire supporting cast members based on actual acting ability and not height. Simply playing with angles wouldn’t give a significant towering effect like that of a 6’3” man.
