- COME LUXURY SHOPPING WITH ME ON MY DAY OFF! I went to Harrods on my day off and went on a bit of a luxury designer shopping spree. Specifically I focused on Dior (because they’re the only brand that don’t mind you filming at all!!) Mary Norton Great comment! Since when are there shortages of shoes, clothes and bags in developed countries? There is actually an abundance of these items in the U.S. and Europe. She’s getting way too excited and breathless over this shyte btw.
Of course is marketing psychology, the harder to get an item, no matter what item,the more we want it. Is trendy ,we always want something that we cant obtain easily.
I have a bunch of cartilage piercings and I 100% agree that Maria Tash, while absolutely stunning, should have a system where you buy the jewellery and get pierced with a plain stud in the interim. Micro-tears are so common with healing piercings that I can imagine how much damage the diamonds are doing on a larger scale. My piercer only uses plain studs to pierce for that reason. For the infection, I recommend a saline solution of warm water and salt and apply it with a q-tip. Works wonders!!
I also love how you are friends with the Dior staff to even go on lunch with them!
I think it is more of a good business deal, we get a sneak peak of what's new at Dior, Sophie gets views and they get a free lunch. It's good for everyone 😁

Hi Sophie, regarding the Maria Tash earrings and piercings I have always been told that their jewellery even though it is gorgeous, it is not designed for freshly pierced ears (even though they advertise it) as it is very delicate and small therefore it doesn't leave any room for your ear to swell, which it will after you get it pierced or be cleaned thoroughly! I have always been recommended to get your ears pierced at a piercing salon where they will use a bar or hoop and will allow the piercing to be cleaned easily and heal then when it is ready you can swap to nicer jewellery. I hope this helps you out if you want to get any more piercings. xxx
I have a lot of piercings on my ears and the thing with Tash piercings is that you are forced to put heavy and "beautiful" jewel when you get your ear pierced. At first, you really need to get the piercings healed before changing the jewellery to something gorgeous like Tash jewellery. Your ear swells and the Tash jewellery does not accommodate for that swelling and prohibits the fluids to get out of the piercing holes. This is my personal opinion about the whole high-end piercing thing but over the years I've learned how to properly heal piercings fast.

@@natalieb1932 get real antiseptic spray(I mean stuff they also use in a doctors office) and clean it twice a day at first. Don't put a ring in at first, they move too much for a fresh piercing. Nothing too chunky and as soon as the swelling goes down switch to a shorter piercing or your piercing will heal crooked and the long piercing can also cause irritation.
Definitely none of those beautiful rings she has in her ears in this video for I would say at least 3-6 months if you want to have a good healed piercing. You can change to a plain ring after the recommended healing time but as soon as you feel like it hurts again put the bar back in. You can also buy healing dicks for piercings and they really do help with preventing keloids as well. Just don't put them on really fresh piercings.

@@natalieb1932 Never use antiseptic!!!!!! That is number one rule! It will dry out the piercing and won't let it heal properly. Warm water twice a day for cleaning is enough. Healing time is individual for all. Some of the piercings I have only took 6 months to heal. One of my piercings took almost 2 years because of the placement.

The Dior saddle bag design does nothing for me but have to admit the blue jeans design is absolutely gorgeous!! Looks more structured than its predecessors and won't lose its shape.

I really like when Sophie does these luxury vlogs. it’s really such fun “window” shopping. i actually think the bar vest and jacket you tried on fitted you perfectly. There was no pulling and it gave you such a lovely shape. I personally think sometimes women have a tendency to get clothes that are a little too loose especially in jackets because we feel a bit conscious of how it hugs some part of our body. But it was stunning on you!
The denim saddle bag is way nicer than the classic print IMO. Not only it's limited but I also like that the logos are muted and not as loud. Love all the dresses on you and I especially like that black see through skirt. I agree with Ann Le, it's so versatile and I can see it being styled up or down for casual and formal occasions. Always love shopping vlogs and every vids😋🤗😍
We may be miles apart in finances but knowing you get infected piercings...reminds me we're more alike than I expect. Love your videos

Get that two piece!!!!!! The sleeveless one. You can wear white sneaker or those dior pumps for spring/summer and for winter maybe a black turtleneck under the vest and a pair of sock boots! As for the bag, i love it!! Imagine with a camel coat for fall/winter or all white for spring/summer.
I had the same issue with my cartilage piercing where the clasps keeping the stones in catch on everything and caused infection. Once the infection is cleared up, pop a dot of clear nail varnish over the diamonds and it will smooth the clasps! It helped me SO MUCH hopefully helps you too. Maybe even ask them to do it in a nail salon because the gel lasts even better ✨
Georgianneka 110 I’ve had my helix done recently with a mtash style earring and the claws irritated my ear when I swapped them into the piercing after 3 weeks. 1.5 months later I still can’t really sleep on that ear. I recently swapped out to a smoother but not as glam earring and it already feels better!

The fact that it came back strong in 2019 after so many years is proof that it is a popular bag and even if it’s no longer trendy next year it can always come back!

My helix piercing took 8 months to heal and I honestly thought it would never heal, it looked awful but I was determined not to take it out ... I found melting an aspirin and making a paste and putting it round the piercing helped..
Andri I have 15 ear piercings. Best thing I’ve ever used is Blue Wave Spray. Astrid & Miyu in London Selfridges sell it. All my piercings have healed really well.

I trick I learnt with new piercings is to use a travel pillow when sleeping. Put the travel pillow flat against your normal pillow and place the side of your head on top of the travel pillow so your ear isn’t being pressed against- hope this makes sense xx
I used to have 3 piercings on each of my ears and one on my nose. It did not work. Although they were made of gold or silver. You have to clean and disinfect them daily.
You should not touch with your hand. Mostly it is red for weeks. After 2 years, I then removed all excepted the normal earring holes.

buy that black gown. its CLASSIC and will serve you well for the next 30 years. you dont have an event now but just save it for when you and David take a trip somewhere, maybe wear it to dinner with a leather jacket to make it less formal but GET IT!!

Sophie, I did have similar issue with my ears when I got them pierced for normal earrings. The oinment they gave me wasn't helping which is why I started using tea tree oil and it healed really quick. Maybe it will help you too. :)
Loved the black montagne 80 bag with the matte black hardware you showed on an insert. Also that white 2 piece dress is gorgeous on you Soohie. I was also very envious of that red checkered jacket. Looked like a perfect combo of casual and smart. Loved it! Much love from Germany.

I saw the white dress in the first 30 seconds and thought you were going to tell us in the vlog that you're renewing your wedding vows or something. People usually keep those small unless it's 25+ years so the dress would be appropriate. It looked really nice on you.

Blue bag is going to be easiest to style with multiple looks. PLEASE say you bought it. LOVE the white two piece - ghosts of Schiaparelli! IWANT that tartan jacket. Wish they came in my size 😭 Prefer the sleeves on the gray, but your waist looked tiny in the vest version.

I have to say that I am surprised that you like that saddle bag, but I understand that you don't understand it either :D The blue limited edition one looks better and more versatile and if you want to sell it later it will worth more as it is limited edition. I had my cartilage done when I was about 16, it NEVER fully healed. It was painful to touch, sleeping on it was a big NO. I had to let it close up 😓

Earings: i got my helix (cartillage) done in december 2017 and it's only in the past month or so that it's NOT iffy, and that was with big lumps which you have to burst and puss comes out. it's still a little uncomfy to sleep on but i can do it. i got my forward helix done in May this year and that's still red and sore. i got a double lobe ages ago too which took FOREVER to heal. tea tree oil mixed with saline solution, and conjunctivitus ointment will clear it all up. 3 times a day for a week and then review.

Get the bag, you keep going back to it. Even though it’s done in denim, it’s the classiest denim bag I think I’ve ever seen, not at all obnoxious. You really seem to love it, so go for it! Also the play suit skirt combo and the tartan are jacket look, FABULOUS on you!

Am I the only one who thinks you should've snatched up the matte maroon lady dior?! Most gorgeous and sophisticated color ever! The pebbled leather bag you're waiting for is not bad either...looks more streamlined with the black vs. gold hardware! 🤩🤩
To heal your piercings:
1) Clean them with NeilMed Piercing Aftercare spray.
That is the ONLY truly sanitary thing you can use on it. Being an aerosol product, no air is let into the bottle like with traditional sprays. After being introduced to it by an APP member I will NEVER use anything else.
2) When you have a shower, stand under and thoroughly soak your ear back and front for at least a minute on the sides with the new piercings (make sure your hair is out of the way though). This should help clear any gunk away.
3) It's obvious but sleep with your hair up and clipped so no flyaways or baby hairs can hook themselves on the posts.
Just curious, when you purchase garments from dior, do they alter them for you? ie. move a button or raise the crotch seam? If they don't, who would you trust to match the quality of the sewing job?

Sophie! Cartilage piercings do heal! It can take up to a year for them to fully do so. They're quite delicate and complicated, so you always have to be gentle and cleanse them when they start hurting.
I actually got one too and while it did take pretty long too heal, I just disinfected it daily with some spray and kept in the piercing I got from the place who did the piercing and the only struggle I had was like a weird pimple that eventually disappeared too
I was actually thinking about getting another one lol I didnt know some people had problems with it not healing for too long. I just thought the first month was annoying cuz washing my hair was so difficult lol

You could be allergic to nickel. Once I changed my earrings to a Nickel-Free setting, I stopped getting infections. All white gold has nickel in it - even Tiffany earrings 😞

I love the Matt finish! As for the saddle bags the blue one is the best for jeans and travel. Don’t get your initials on it if you’re interested in resale.

I got the Dior 30 Montaigne in oblique fabric because it's more of the vintage style that I was looking for (madly in love with the design when it first launched in May). As much as I am a big fan of leather bag, lamb skin is still a no-no for me as I am pretty clumsy and I do not want to own a bag and use it so carefully as if it is worth hundreds of thousand.

White dress & the tartan jacket 😍 definitely a must to purchase! My helix and Tragus piercing did finally heal when I simplified the jewellery, once healed I went back to the bling. Definitely do invest in a neck pillow and side sleep on it until they calm down, happy healing

The Bar jacket fits you perfectly in the front abd the back. The Balmain should fit the same but it is too tight when you button it up.
