2020 Ford Edge ST 0-60 Pulls

  • I used an app and it says I can do 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. Will check again after I fill up (so I know it was 93 octane) but I feel like that's right around where it will stay, not slow at all.
    Edit: tried again when it was in the 40s and for sure in 93 octane and got 5.7S 0-60 via the app.
    Unlike the Scat Pack you can floor it anytime you want lol. It does t break the wheels loose. Also unlike the Scat Pack it doesn't feel like it wants to do 0-60 Pulls. Granted it's an SUV but it doesn't weigh much more than the Charger I had, it could be the fact that it has a big open space with a monstrous sunroof but it just doesn't feel as happy being pushed as the Scats do.

    I had a 2016 edge sport and the 0-60 low end torque was great but anything above 80 miles per hr moves like a turtle

    Mom bought one of these a few days ago. We left the lot and my dad was in his focus st and we smoked him haha. But tbh the focus st is my fav cuz it’s manual and it corners better

      Haha see that's what I'm saying. People always complained that the Edge st didn't fit the "ST" badge but it certainly did. The awd makes it foolproof to put the power down and the super sticky tires made it handle amazingly well

    Gf’s ran a 14.3 in the 1/4 mile. 5.9 sec 0-60. It’s literally got zero top end. It would be quite the SUV if they dropped the 3.5 eco in it.

      It would be faster than the Explorer ST

    • @VanquishedAgain
      @VanquishedAgain  ปีที่แล้ว

      @TC_DAVID07 _ I think it should be honestly. THE Edge ST is smaller and better handling. Unfortunately I'm not sure they have the space to mount the 3.5L or even the 2.7L in a longitudinal layout. I think that costs the Edge a bit of performance

      It’s because the stock intercooler is heat soaked by the time you hit 60 mph during a pull

    Have you thought about getting it tuned?

    • @VanquishedAgain
      @VanquishedAgain  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Nope. I don't own cars long enough, or drive enough anymore to make it worth it. I'm also extremely worried about voiding warranty.
      To top it off I just got my first speeding ticket in 12 years... in the edge... made it through 2 chargers and 2 challengers without getting one and now 2 months into owning the edge I got caught in a speed trap 35->25 so I dont think I'll be doing any fun driving in this anymore. $250 ticket for nothing and likely my insurance rates skyrocketing. Apparently SUVs catch the attention of cops because I assure you I drove much faster in my mopars...
      I like the car itself. Very comfy with a great sound system and much higher quality interior than my Dodges and it works for my dog but it's really not a fun vehicle. It's an SUV that's sporty, but it's not a sport SUV. It doesn't want to accelerate hard. It weighs barely more than my charger or challenger but it still brakes like an SUV and not a performance car despite the supposed performance brakes. It's also 100% silent. It wouldn't have killed ford to try and give it some noise. I've heard the ecoboost Mustangs, it is possible to make an ecoboost make noise...
      I got this for like 12k off with an even trade (what I bought it for) on my Challenger so I'm still happy but it's not as fun as I thought it would be. 335hp and 380tq it should drive like an X5 and do 0-60 in 5 seconds.

      No. It's a totally different vehicle though. The edge sport is much nicer interior but sync is way worse than unconnect. The charger scat pack was my favorite by far. I got a dog though so I needed to get out of the 2 door challenger

      @VanquishedAgain  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Every way. Thr new vertical sync might be okay but the sync (the infotainment system) on my Edge ST was worse than uconnect in every way. That's not as much of a knock on sync as it is a praise for uconnect which I believe to be the best

    These are essentially the new cars of today. Nobody likes older style cars so they have a car frame with a suv body for extra space and it still gets great gas mileage.
