Encens Suave is the only fragrance I have ever smelled that stood out for me as a masterpiece the moment I smelled it. There are other masterpieces but I had to play with them to appreciate them. This one is the only love at first sniff I' ve felt. The experience of wearing it, is so relaxing that it is almost meditative. Great review, as always!
Such a coincidence! A few hours ago I tested Santal Austral in store and went crazy over it. It's so addictive! The people in store and my bf didn't understand my excitement so I was holding my breath when you sprayed it 😂. Also love Parisian musc and need to try the suave again.
Last year I ordered directly from Matiere Premiere. Like you, I was attracted to Neroli Oranger and Encens Suave so I purchased both. I really enjoy both and Neroli Oranger is great for the warmer weather which is around the corner again. Nice take on these fragrances as always Sebastian!
Together with POAL, the rose fragrance is the only must have of all rose frags (for a man). You must test it on skin. It transforms a lot. Also, love your facial expressions while doing first impressions. Give us more! 😁
I've heard two different people liken Encens Suave to the smell of copal burning in Tulum (which happens to be my favorite scent of all time) so I CANNOT WAIT to get my nose on it. LOVED seeing you do first impressions! So fun!!

I got Falcon Leather in a decant last year and wore it so much it became my signature Fall scent. The initial spray is quite heavy but the dry down is fantastic when the leather transforms into a soft suede. If that makes any sense. Looking forward to the other releases from this house.
I have been waiting for this video. Matiere Premiere is one of my favourite houses. I adore Parisian Musc the most, followed by Encens Suave and Radical Rose. French flower is gorgeous too, I normally don’t rate tuberose highly but they have done it so beautifully.
How often is it that Sebastian describes a bottle as cute 😄 I have only smelled Falconer Leather. It's luscious but I would prefer it on a man. I can't wait for your trip to Europe content 😍

Ahhh! So happy to finally hear your thoughts on MP! I bought the same tiny bottle testers directly from their website a few months ago. Radical Rose wasn’t radical to my nose but you definitely need to wear these to let the naturals/materials open up fully. The patchouli gets very earthy a bit oud-y and the rose is more beautiful on skin. For me the Parisian Musc is my favorite but I adore the summery musk lightness and ambrette /iris combination. Have Parisian Musc that I looove ♥️ it was love at first sniff! I know all of them except Oud Seven, I will get French Flower 🌸 because I fell in love with it as well 😬 in my skin these two are amazing 😍
I tested samples of "bois d'ébène", "parisian musc", "radical rose", "néroli oranger" and "encens suave". The 2 last are my favourite ones, "néroli oranger" because (orange blossom/néroli being my favourite note) I find it so full of light and classy, and "encens suave" because it makes incense nearly edible, to me it smells exactly like when you heat olibanum drops, and they toast ... it's toasted incense :) , really unique and beautiful. Being a tuberose fan, I will certainly order "french flower" before this winter, the notes sound amazing. What I like in this brand is that you can smell the high quality of ingredients, and how these ingredients are honoured by the perfumer. The name of the brands says it all, and Aurelien Guichard is really talented.
I live in New Zealand and we're lucky enough to have been able to buy Matiere Premiere for the past year. This house has become one of my top five, along with Chanel, Guerlain, Frederic Malle and Diptyque. I've just not smelled a dud amongst them. Just shows you what a perfumer can create when they have full artistic licence. Cannot say how happy I was to discover thuis brand. I have and absolutely love: Santal Austral, Encens Suave and Neroli Oranger. I'm getting somewhat bored with so called "Niche" perfumes charging the earth for fragrances that really aren't that special. This house is special in my opinion. Enjoy your trip. Welcome to the party Brutha , I am not sure this was a ranked list but I love Love Falcon Leather and it should be higher up IMO full bottle worthy , I blind bought it 5 months ago and was so impressed as leathers go , I put TF OML ( original ) first then Falcon then Regent leather from Thameen and TF TLI , and then Memo African leather to round my top 5 . tried encens suave recently, it smelled heavenly and delicious, felt like I couldn't have enough of this fragrance, it's beast mode, long-lasting as i could smell it for 10+ hours on my skin after single spray

It is the most divine sandalwood.......soft,creamy,smooth,buttery.....pick an adjective. Just the way I like a sandalwood to be........you were so right.......YUMMY! Try Cologne Cedrat on skin in warm weather. It’s stunning. The silage is gorgeous. My husband doesn’t usually notice my perfume but he always comments when I wear this one. And it lasts for hours and I don’t get tired of the smell.

Encens Suave is very similar to Mystic Incense by Merchant of Venice which I have, but for 6 months I’ve been wanting Encens Suave anyway. Something so cozy about it. Huge incense fan here. Overall I had a great impression on the brand. ❤️
Wooow! I'm in trouble, this is one of the houses that I've heard a lot, and now after your review definitely I will try them. FALCON LEATHER , ENCENS SUAVE and PREMIERE OUD SEVEN are the ones that sound the best. The presentation is too simple, for me, but I find the bottles more appealing than the Byredo ones, maybe it's the cap, but as I said, need more drama, like the Dunhill London Bottle, I like Dunhill bottle designs in general, even Goldfield & Banks, they're simple but not that simple. Encens Suave and Neroli Oranger look like the standouts for my tastes but I'd be interested to try any of them except the oud (not my thing). I have their Parisian Musc , Encenes Suavas and Neroli Oranger . Each one is unique in its own way . My favourite one is their Neroli Oranger . Everyday , it grows on me . I think it is one of the best Neroli fragrances in the market I bought my perfume from bloomingdale's distributor in the Middle East
Encens Suave is one of my favorites - opening can be a little Smokey for some people but hey incense is the highlight of the frag. But it settles nicely. Great on a cool day with a breeze.
I also like all the scents of this house, that I tried. I like the idea, which perfume explained, that all the perfume about main material, which indeed comes from the name.
I blind bought Encense Suave from Matiere Premiere, it’s on its way to me in USA, first Niche fragrance for me after much research & time watching reviews of many different Fragrances. I love incense and I wanted something new of quality felt like I made a good Choice. Can’t wait lol 👍

Bois d’ebene is better on skin. It’s my fave from them I have them all apart from Falcon Leather. Such a great house. Every scent lasts forever on skin!!
Falcon leather is the one I bought but Parisian musk is amazing, also crystal zaffron and Boise d ebane. Radical rose is a bit feminine but amazing too! A great brand

I haven’t tried a tonne of niche certainly not as much as Sebastian (shocker 😂) Parisian Musc is the best clean fragrance I’ve tried. It’s so clean smelling but it’s just such a beautiful elegant smell (to me anyway)
Same first impressions! I’ve Bought a full size of santal austral and I do think the mood of encens suave is the same of vanagloria. I do think almost the whole Line is a 10. Love them!

tried encens suave recently, it smelled heavenly and delicious, felt like I couldn't have enough of this fragrance, it's beast mode, long-lasting as i could smell it for 10+ hours on my skin after single spray

Hi Sebastian: Got my first bottle from this fragrance house today......Saks 5th Avenue 15% discount sale......and I purchased Santal Austral. You were right! It is the most divine sandalwood.......soft,creamy,smooth,buttery.....pick an adjective. Just the way I like a sandalwood to be........you were so right.......YUMMY! Thanks for the great review......it pushed me over the edge to try it. Got the full size bottle since that is all Saks had....took a chance......blind buy that paid off big time. Thanks again! :)
Try Cologne Cedrat on skin in warm weather. It’s stunning. The silage is gorgeous. My husband doesn’t usually notice my perfume but he always comments when I wear this one. And it lasts for hours and I don’t get tired of the smell.

Encens Suave is very similar to Mystic Incense by Merchant of Venice which I have, but for 6 months I’ve been wanting Encens Suave anyway. Something so cozy about it. Huge incense fan here. Overall I had a great impression on the brand. ❤️

Wooow! I'm in trouble, this is one of the houses that I've heard a lot, and now after your review definitely I will try them. FALCON LEATHER , ENCENS SUAVE and PREMIERE OUD SEVEN are the ones that sound the best. The presentation is too simple, for me, but I find the bottles more appealing than the Byredo ones, maybe it's the cap, but as I said, need more drama, like the Dunhill London Bottle, I like Dunhill bottle designs in general, even Goldfield & Banks, they're simple but not that simple. I just saw a review of French Flower a few days ago and am intrigued! Encens Suave and Neroli Oranger look like the standouts for my tastes but I'd be interested to try any of them except the oud (not my thing). I like the packaging and adore Byredo's, I think it is sleek, sophisticated, and iconic. Thanks for the great overview of this good-looking house!
I love how when you spray some fragrance on a strip to smell it - you off set your jaw slightly - Lol! I am a weird person Sebastian...These sound phenomenal - I love to see you surprised and like when you think you will like one or won't like one and it turns out to be the other way around! You were shocked by the Santal Austral...so, now I am curious which one/ones you will go buy! Can't wait to see...Thanks for reviewing these!
Just bought at Le Printemps in Paris, the box set of 3 sample bottles.. i chose to Neroli, French flower & Santal austral.. these are insanely good. And i also picked Falcon leather to try.. oh BOÏ. 👌 can’t wait to see what you picked in France & the reviews !

oh yes I'm familiar with the brand i bought the samples of the initial collection and loved most of them except for the cologne cedrat. like you i didn't enjoy as much it was flat to me. great video.

I adore radical rose! Super natural and warm on my skin.. Then I love Sandal Austral and Incence Suave. Listening to your review I will try Neroli and Falcon too.
I sampled each of these last year (save for French Flower and Oud Seven). I ended up buying full bottles of Falcon Leather, Santal Austral, and Bois D'Ebene. I'm visiting Europe this month and can't wait to get my nose on Oud Seven!

Each one is unique in its own way . My favourite one is their Neroli Oranger . Everyday , it grows on me . I think it is one of the best Neroli fragrances in the

Encens Suave is one of my favorites - opening can be a little Smokey for some people but hey incense is the highlight of the frag. But it settles nicely. Great on a cool day with a breeze.
I also like all the scents of this house, that I tried. I like the idea, which perfume explained, that all the perfume about main material, which indeed comes from the name.
I like the first impression reactions. You should do more. ES, SA, FL were all my favourites too. Encens is truly amazing.
I agree those three are def ones I would get and perhaps the Parisian Musc! :)

Bois d’ebene is better on skin. It’s my fave from them I have them all apart from Falcon Leather. Such a great house. Every scent lasts forever on skin!!
Falcon leather is the one I bought but Parisian musk is amazing, also crystal zaffron and Boise d ebane. Radical rose is a bit feminine but amazing too! A great brand

I haven’t tried a tonne of niche certainly not as much as Sebastian (shocker 😂) Parisian Musc is the best clean fragrance I’ve tried. It’s so clean smelling but it’s just such a beautiful elegant smell (to me anyway)
Same first impressions! I’ve Bought a full size of santal austral and I do think the mood of encens suave is the same of vanagloria. I do think almost the whole Line is a 10. Love them!
