This film is the first part of two showing the IRT Pelham Line during the summer of 2015.
The Pelham Line runs in the Bronx from Third Avenue-138th Street to Pelham Bay Park and is served by 6 local and (during weekdays) express trains.
The line runs underground until Whitlock Avenue, from whereon it runs on an elevated structure. From the platforms at Whitlock Avenue one has a magnificent view on the line as it crosses the Bronx River.
This part of the film shows some 6 Train action at Whitlock Avenue and Elder Avenue stations. As this has been filmed on a Saturday, there is no express service and all trains are running on the local tracks.

Well you can see videos of centennial trains, owned by a museum and making tours sometimes, you will see how it looked like
yeah, i hope i have money for travelling to new York. But, Istanbul is busy as new York too. Is there any public transportation beside bus and subway???. By the way, many people said that Istanbul is city with Multi transportation, because we already have Bus rapid transit, high speed train, funicular, undersea metro, tram, and many new public transportation. That's why people said that Istanbul is multi transportation city. All kind of public transportation we have it. 😊😊😊

Normally you can ride them at 5:00 p.m sharp at Brooklyn Bridge or Canal Street going to the Bronx.
The R62A 6 replaced the R62A 7 and 7train R142A converted replaced R142a 6 train

How about the curve at Simpson St. on the southbound local track where it goes around the corner of a building? I used to live near both of these stations.

Frank Pits sometimes when summer comes they use old trains to give like R142 R142As and R160s
6 train looks like the 1 train now that the 6 has r62a and it stoled the only quality the 1 train had because they both end in mahanthan and in the bronx
MLuisendy Fernandez the equipment is not the 6 train fault it's the 7 there always taking the best equipment from the 6

All the (7) R62a trains were sent to mainly the (6) to replace with the (7) R188.
Why does the train makes loud noises? Because they dont scream
When it comes to trains , you will hear Screeching , jolting , train brakes , and more , because the train itself is insanely heavy , it puts alot of pressure on the track rail causing it to make loud noises as it moves , the slower it moves the less noise you will hear , but the faster it moves the louder the noise you will hear , what makes the loud Noise is the Train wheels , everyone hears it all the time , an example is by Replaying this Part between 6:03 - 6:14 , not only that , it can also Create Vibration depending on what Surface it's running on either elevation or ground , just DON'T Stand too Close to a moving train though , this TH-cam video link should do the trick th-cam.com/video/TlSOMfDX-yY/w-d-xo.html , or is my explanation good enough =] , hopefully my Response answers your Question =] .

4 train should give us their 142a since they have 17 sets of 142a and 18 sets of r142 and we give them half of our r62a
XP JR 22 88 Best to keep the 4 line all NTTs and the 6 all R62As to have the 4 line use newer cars with wider doors to accommodate the forever-increasing ridership through the forever-increasing-in-population neighborhoods of Central Bronx and through Brooklyn.

I want my R142A's back on this line. The R62A's have to go
Ebu No they don’t. Instead, those cars should get upgrades with NTT features, like what was done with the R68s on the G line. You don’t really need NTT cars to have NTT features, except for the CBTC equipment, in which you will need the NTT cars.
DJLilFace 222 Oh please. Give it a few more weeks before we determine if CBTC sucks. It will be a big boon for Eastern Queens, who honestly deserves NTTs more than Pelham, once everything is fixed.
Also, you don’t need style on the 6 line when this swap resulted in extra train sets to increase train service on both the 6 and 7 lines. Once CBTC is activated, the 7 line will have 14 more trains added to the schedule and the 6 line will have 2 additional trains added to its schedule. At least it’s better than nothing, so get used to it now!!!!
DJLilFace 222 Were talking about replacing the rollsigns with LED screens to further improve customer service. Who says you can’t upgrade old tech cars with new tech features. The R68 upgrades are actually beneficial so it can work.

Now that’s an ideal car assignment. Hopefully everyone is happy with this.

+Jaden Morgan On most railroads, the outer rail on a curve is raised above the inner rail. This is called superelevation and counteracts the force toward the outside of the curve. Without it, curves would have to be transversed at a very slow speed or the train could derail. The amount of superelevation depends on the sharpness of the curve and the speed through it.
