Brighton is a small town, you know, so the coppers already know Ren by now, and the fact that he does crazy vids, or closes some random streets when busking, so it's ok. Ofc, he did almost get arrested early on while swinging a baseball bat practicing for Money game 1 on his way to the grocery store LOL
the way he sings "murderer" is a direct shout out to barrington levy's song of the same name. the reggae influence is even more apparent in his live acoustic version which is definitely worth a reaction to.

Yes, when Ren does an official and an acoustic live, they're usually both 🔥, but distinctly different. Love the acoustic of this one. "Animal Fliw" and "Genesis" are also interesting from that musicians perspective- how a single song can be interpreted/played to sound so different. Animal Flow live is especially great for the many who miss the song because the video is so stimulating. P.S. per your guerrilla shooting, stay to the very end if you ever watch Ren's "What You Want"

Always like the reaction! Most of Ren's music is original. His covers aren't really covers (except with The Big Push). They're "retakes" which is either original lyrics or original music composition. I think he enjoys this process as well as putting out music videos while working on completing an album. Ren said "I grew up listening to a lot of Reggae. I was really inspired by Barrington Levy"s Murderer for this one...". When you see "Official Music Video" or "Official Lyric Video", those are always all original.

I´m kinda with you on the original material> cover songs. However, a good cover isn´t necessarily easy to do and you can learn quite a lot in terms of arrangement or actually playing guitar outside of your comfort zone. But yeah, hard to beat a self-made earworm.

British cops are generally really good at not over-reacting if they get called becuse you’re doing something “odd”. As long as you keep it amicable, and not doing anything actually illegal, most of the time you’ll be fine (at least that was my experience decades ago when I used to get up to some really silly stuff that would sometimes get their attention. You don’t really have the risk of getting randomly shot at least ;)
You mentioned you like one takes - and this is darn close, but they managed to sneak in 2 cuts - going in and out of the car. They do the edits so well, but leaving the car, the videographer (Luke in this case I think) pointed out there’s a white car that appears out of nowhere :)
