Hey James! What kind of continuous lighting fixture would be comparable to the output of the strobes you used to light from behind? I'm considering building this for an upcoming media day but we are filming rather than photoghraphing and I'm wondering what kind of lights we would need to get to have a similar output? Two Aputure 600d's? 1200d's? Curious to hear your thoughts and thanks for making this awesome video :)

    • @QuantzPhoto

I’m sure plenty of other modifiers would work. You could also use multiple lights if needed. This was a situation that was time sensitive so I needed to use something that could work for both setups.

Hey mate, thanks for the inspiration. But I can't really understand which material the walls are out of. I searched for big cardboards but it is not so stabil. Did you paint it black or was it black already? Thanks a lot and keep going! Greets from Germany!

    1. I get that the slats shouldn't be extended to the outer edge so the backdrop doesn't sag. Is it essential that the slats run completely to the inside edge? 2. Is the only purpose for the diffusion material to hide the lighting? You tried a backdrop at first, which seemed to work, so is it okay for the diffusion fabric to be slightly thick? 3. Is there any point to the back side of the backdrop being black?

Where did you get the foam core
Why do you use the westcott and not the profoto umbrellas

From a local supplier and I use Westcott because they are less expensive and really nice.
