BD-1 is my fav droid (yes better than R2 and BB8) because he's so cute and genuinely helpful. He's a zipline, a doctor, a fighter.... Fallen Order really lets you build companionship with him, such a great lil droid
After his introduction in Jedi Fallen Order, it was a matter of minutes before he was my all time favorite SW droid. Fantastic little thing.
r2 bullies c-3po all the time and it's the funniest shit ever
The head wobbling doesn’t bother me too much because BD-1’s head did wobble a lot in game and cut scenes and doesn’t seem to effect the model that much
If anything I feel like it adds some life to the model

Hollow head might be useful for some DIY electronics too. Add a battery, speaker and arduino to make some BD noises a few times a day.
I love the little detail of the stims in the side of his head, just like in the game!
BD - 1 was such a fun character in the game. Glad to see him getting a build.
I actually really like that wobble. I feel like it fits BD-1 really well. Also, I was not expecting to get a minifig BD-1; that's awesome! (even if I don't really have any need for it)
Nice to see lego expand into more videogame-based sets, between this, the Horizon Zero Dawn Tallneck, and Overwatch series a while back, it really seems like Lego is making a concerted push to appeal to the video games market.
Shame they canceled Overwatch though.
I’m so happy we’re getting this set. BD1 is one of my favorite droids and it looks amazing I feel. I do wish we had a bit more posability with the legs, but I know it wouldn’t stand well so it’s understandable. Glad we’re also getting a little minifigure scale one as well. I do wish that at least had two different pieces so the head could rotate but still very happy with how it looks. Definitely going to get it
Best Star Wars droid from one of the best Star Wars games! This might be the first Star Wars set I buy since 2013 :)

Bd1 is one of my favorite star wars droids and i am so glad we got it as a lego set.
Started playing Jedi Survivor and this finally pushed me to pull the trigger on this little droid. I had forgotten just how much I loved him in the first game. I like that this BD1 is actually basically life sized! I have no qualms with him being Artoo’s size because they had the opportunity to do a 1:1 scale droid and took it!
It's more like a 3:4 scale, the plaque states 43cm and the model is 31cm, but it is close!
Good review. I actually dig the wobbly built, it's kind of funny and made me smile.
I love how he bounces around just like in the game.
We've also now seen this model of droid in The Mandalorian TV Series. The love-droid of Wall-E and Johnny-5 :)

I might actually get this one (on sale)! BD-1 is one of my favorite droids. It actually looks fairly human-scaled too! It'd be cool to see it on your shoulder/back for a comparison.
i think the real droid is around 40cm tall but this model is only 31cm

I love Jedi Fallen Order, and I also love Lego. This set is what I ever wanted, finally an JFO set! Maybe there will be more JFO sets in the future, because of the new game.

AFAIK the whips elements have been used as cables for ages. There are probably way more sets using them as cables than sets in which they are used as actual whips.

I just got both of the jedi games with Christmas money and I definitely want to get this
Having the back exposed with the technic pieces is actually really good because the parts can be customised in game to be more exposed

So you have probably had a bunch of others say this exact same thing but on the off chance you haven’t, DB1 did also show up in the Mandalorian season 2.5 aka that bit of book of Boba Fett where mando takes over for a few episodes.
So while it’s not in a film it is still in the main line continuity.

Nice review! Before the release of this Lego version I had never seen this droid before, but I really like it! I feel it will display pretty well next to my BB-8 and D-O....two other droids I only know because of Lego :-)

I love this, would definitely get it if all my Lego money wasn't going to the castle and AT-TE in August... Lego cannibalising their own sales with all these giant sets doesn't seem like a great idea to me but I guess I'm not the one making record profits so eh

Legs are fixed, such a shame otherwise would've picked this up. What's the point of a display model if you can't adjust the leg joint angles to get the desired pose?
