- In this episode of Kitabwala Saurabh Dwivedi talks about the book Messiah Modi. written by Tavleen Singh an Indian columnist, political reporter and writer.The book begins tracing Modi’s prime ministerial campaign a little before 2014 and chronologically narrates why the author seems to have lost hope in the leader who she had once vouched for, even at the cost of losing friends. And it’s the economy where Singh says Modi disappointed her the most.

One of the best and candid interview of Tavleen ma'am. Though I disagree with some of her views, but I am a big fan of her passion towards political journalism.
I am from Pune "LAVASA" is still a good mini-city but your claim that schools and international B colleges were supposed to be given free education is false. Still its a very good project and second home destination for retired personal. It can be taken forward if the government has the will.
The roads made by HCC in Lavasa are the best, but deteriorating now. It was heaven for Bikers from Pune and Mumbai. Maharashtra should learn to respect the industrialists otherwise nobody will come to invest here. Amby valley and Lavasa are very good examples.
Sourab I have seen several other interviews on this book on other TH-cam channel but I am really sure that you conduct interviews wonderfully. You do homework n it is more like conversation.

Woww Great Interview..I had never thought that I would watch Tavleen singh for over an hour or so .I wish she had answered about why atal jee saved Sonia from Bofors.
She did mention that she had warned her son from writing against Modi because she thought he would be the next PM .So she does take into account these things when she is writing an article.This is where I feel that she started opposing only when her son was denied entry.Before that everything about Modi was so beautiful

I haven't read any books of her but by listening her conversation, she seemed to me a very ordinary journalist and agitated human being also self praised on many occasions. It also seemed that she tired to balance herself through entire interview.
Some of her talks were good and I hope it will be worth reading her

I've been an avid fan of this one-of-its-kind show for a long time now. In my view, this has been the best interview so far. The second half was particularly interesting and insightful. The first few minutes of the second half were pure gems as they were about the growth and progress of our nation. Great show Sir.
P.S. I would like you to expand the range of subjects you deal with to include some new and old book of popular science, economics, history, fictions etc. You can make it a short review if the authors happen to be unavailable for a long discussion. We would still appreciate it enormously. Having said that, it's already a nice watch. Thanks

What I love about saurabh is that he exactly understands what the user's not know and he either request the guest to explain or he himself tells the context.
I have seen several of his shows and love the way he puts facts without judging them. What ideally a reporter is expected of.

Would have helped to know her views and analysis on Arun Jaitley as FM and possible shortcomings.
She commented everyone right from PC, MMS, YS, Shourie, even Swamy (many agree with that), but not AJ's flaws (if any) as FM. Would hv been interesting to know..
It is clear that Modi must miss AJ terribly in these troubled times.

Your personal experiences are like your first love, they are unique, you always remember them and you can hardly be honest to your self in case you want to deny them...I sometimes feel that Tavleen Singh always falls in love with her being either accepted or even denied...one really needs to read in between the lines...I have read "Durbar " liked it, wish journalism is kept alive they way it knew to fight back, and always reminiscent of those trying times which produced people loke Tavleen, Durgadas, Satish Jacob, Tully and many many others. The presentation was great. Thanks.

About the lavasa , just an info. Ajit pawar n supriya sule had more than 20% shares of project. They sold it afterwards. So yes maybe there was sharad pawars money but I don't think Sonia hates pawar to that extent.

Dear Ssurabh ji, as usual excellent interview of Mrs Tavleen Singh. I can blame U for keeping me up till 2.30 am, normally against my routine. It appeared to me you have soft corner for Atal ji's FM. R U aware of his 1st words after taking over Finance Ministry? He declared, "wilful defaulters to banks will be sent to jail" Can it be genuinely possible, he could not find even one OR can it be assumed, he compromised with them? U told me of being fully tied up with elections thus wont find time to meet me. I will wait if Almighty does not send my summons till then. I complete 82 in January thus feel everyday is a bonus. I had been listened many kitabwalas but this is i think is the most sansani khez interview i had ever listened. But then also we can clearly see that Tavleen Singh is hiding some major facts. But its ok because there are some things which is earned and you cant give them easily. Moreover i want to appreciate Sourav Dwivedi for his quick answer on his expectations on Modi govt. I think no one can explain better than this. Only due to these things people like me who were supporters of Modi in 2014 are no more with him and his policies.
