i wish comet makes asics gel-kayano, gel-1130, gel-nyc, Nike P-6000, Solomon style of sneakers. They have recently released Aeon line which closely resembles new balance style of sneakers.

I think the problem is that, people are used to the silhouette that has been set by the bigger brands. Because if as a new brand if you try to push out really niche designs you will be taking a risk. And I also feel as long as the material and comfort is good and the brand owning the original design has no problem with it then it’s all cool

Main difference is af1 is made of leather and comet is made of synthetic leather.
Also the comparison should be between Comet and Aor jordan 1 low, which is yhe ready inspiration for comet shoes.
I give them full marks for the sole pattern.

Crocs, no more. The quality of croslite isn't the same anymore. It gives the feel of a foam material. no personal experience with literide shoes tho.
Comet doesn't use real leather in any of their shoes, which is a shame since the leather reebok, nike, nb and adidas shoes go often on sale at a comparable price point.

It is very subjective, personally I don’t like mids so would suggest you to go for lows only, but if you like mids then you should go for that, just see the colorway, what you like and what you can pull off. i would suggest to buy one sneaker aj1 low or mid and one completely different sneaker which you can wear daily and are comfortable

Didnt want to bring this up, but once i went to a nike store asking for jordan 36, and salesguy said that these can only be ordered from stockx or such portals and can never be found in nike stores in India because, and i quote
"Indians dont deserve" these... He added that sales in India is quite minimal as comapred to international market, obviously I got offended and dropped the idea all together... Now, im not defaming brand, love nike, but that experience just pissed me off, and its been nearly 2 years since that happened and first time me sharing it..😅

For me, the grip was not great in comet. The shoes does not give a good grip, it keeps coming out from the back.

It is better to go for Comet than a copy. Original of a smaller brand is always better than copy of a large brand.

If it was priced at 3000. I would have bought it instantly. The design in not original, its Nike - Bape copy. The thing is often shoes from Adidas - Nike go on sale and u can get them at 4-5k range where comet is priced at. Comet needs to use better material if they want to justify this price point. U can get absolutely stunning hight quality adidas shoes at the same price point.
