MelonDS is a good DS emulator for android (it's on PC too! (better than DesMuMe in some cases, especially since it's being developed a lot more frequently))

Have you tried out the classicboy emulator? It runs a whole bunch of consoles:
ps1, N64, the whole gameboy series, nes/snes, Sega MD/GG/MS/CD, arcade games (like segasonic the hedgehog), Atari 2600VCS, Sega Saturn, DS, NeoGeo Pocket (and ngp color), NeoGeo CD, PC engine/CD, Bandai WonderSwan, Nintendo Pokemon mini
This brings me back to when I would always emulate classic NES games from sketchy websites on my tablet when I was younger lol. Very informative!
Yeah I used to be the same. The amount of times I'd emulate Mario 64 on my Samsung Tab 3 is insane.

In addition:
-There's a Android version of Sonic Advance officially made by Sonic Team exclusive to Japan though, maybe because of incompatibility with newer smartphones, it's not the smoothest version. There's also apparently a version by Gameloft, but it's based on their stripped down version of Advance that they originally made for old mobile phones like Nokia.
-On the Modern Era of games, there are the SEGA crossover racing games. Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing on smartphones are a downgraded port of the DS version but with higher quality UI and added voice clips from the console versions (The iOS version was actually the only version of the game released in Japan). Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed had a F2P version (originally paid) that had a different progression system (you don't even get to play as Sonic until later) and no offline modes. Unless something changed, the game is now unplayable due to being online only and the servers shut down.
-The Sonic 4 duology is available on smartphones as well, making the lack of an official Sonic 3 infuriating as there would be Sonic 1, 2 and 4 but no 3. Also, Sonic 4 Episode 1 was supposed to be a smartphone-exclusive title before being turned into a console game.
-Obviously, the mobile games are included since those are, you know, made for mobiles in the first place. "Sonic Forces" for iOS and Android is "Sonic Forces: Speed Battle" but they dropped the subtitle for some reason. Now, everytime they have news about "Sonic Forces", they're specifically referring to Speed Battle.
On the topic of emulators:
-JAVA emulators can emulate the Sonic JAVA phone games like the original Sonic Jump, both parts of Sonic 1, both parts of Sonic 2, Shadow Shoot, Sonic Golf, Sonic Olympic Games, Gameloft's Unleashed, etc.
-A NEO-GEO Pocket emulator can play Sonic Pocket Adventure.
-MAME emulators can run the various Sonic arcade games.
-PPSSPP for the Rivals duology.
-GBA emulators for the GBA games.
Unfortunately, there are no emulators for SEGA Pico on Android, so the Pico games are out of the question. Same goes for Leapster and Didj.

Yeah, I'd heard of the Sonic Advance android version, but unfortunately the whole Advance series just completely passed me by!!
Same with the Sonic 4 duology. Interestingly Episode 1 isn't available on the Play store in the UK anymore, just Episode 2.
I actually remember really enjoying Ep 2 on Mobile a few years ago. Same with SASRT.
I was actually gonna talk about the java emulators due to Gameloft's Unleashed port, not sure why I decided against it if I'm honest.

There are not emulators for Adobe Shockwave, so you can't play Life Savers' Sonic Spinball
SEGA Pico emulators doesn't exist because you have to use SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive emulators to run Pico games, well, because SEGA Pico use Genesis/Mega Drive roms

Haha that's a good thought actually. I mean, it is entirely possible to play the Saturn version of 3D Blast through the Yabasanshiro, but man I could not get that bad boy to work.

I love this video, especially as I am on my mission to have as many Sonic games on my phone. Currently have at least 88 games. Interesting that YabaSanshiro wasn't working for you, especially with a Snapdragon 695. Sonic R for me runs perfectly and I currently have a Snapdragon 662. The Sonic Gems Collection version is better, so it doesn't really matter, but it's still intriguing. Keep up this level of content!

Great video! I think you forgot about Sonic 4 but both eps are available. Ep 1 gets buggier overtime with newer devices but the wii version is always available (and better anyway) and Ep 2 still runs pretty well.

IM ABOUT TO CRY THIS VIDEO IS EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING I NEEDED. so my pc is broken and deadcause its over 20 yearsold andobviously it cannot 0lay any sonic games. i have been playing on emulated platforms (like genplusdroid, which, in my opinion, is the BEST classic sonic game emulator, and by classic i mean sonic 1, 2 and 3/knuckles/3&knuckles
cause its fire.
oh also the sonic cd that sega put up in the play market, yea
but i always, ALWAYS craved more. i played through most of the sonic fan games in roblox because speed, and i still wished to play the official ones. sonic r, sonic cd andsonic fighters might be ones of my most favourite classic sonic games. this literally saved my life and im on a verge of tears once i heard you say sonic gem collection. im currently about to download the dreamcast emulator cause play sonic adventures was my long life dream of all time. im immediately subbing, fellas, this guy just made my dreams come true and im not even kidding. i have been searching for this for SO. LONG. and holy hell now im freaking emotional over all of this. i have been a sonic fan for nearly a decade, and never got to play the pc or console games that werent classic. i always watched the walkthroughs. oh my god oh my god THANK YOU SO MUCH HOLY HELLLLLL

i always played the official sonic advance ports so that counts, the first demo of sonic mania which had NOTHING back then and i dont know whats with it today aaand i played sonic runnersor whatecer its called which was a neat game before it got obliterated. also sonic 4 episodes whatever but we arent talking about that. overall, in all those years, i played ALL the sonic games that i possibly COULD play in my "mobile only" position. now i can finally play the ones i wished for, for years.

Yeah I actually have have. They're so much worse than what they used to be. Luckily I remembered that I bought these ports a few years back so I've now got the paid version.

Cool intro, very underrated
Sonic 06 can be recreated through SRB2 and played that way. Sonic Adventure 2 has a mod for it too. Even Sonic 3 and Knuckles... Sorta. It's still early yet and they could all be considered demos of sorts, but they all play just like the original games and work surprisingly well.

not sure if you're still reading comments, but there are actually native mobile (and pc) ports of the first 2 sega master system sonic games by some group called creative araya (or something like that)
they add some qol features like the drop dash and there's even an open source version of the engine used
not sure about other sms/gg titles though

Btw the persona games require way less power so they run very smoothly
I have an emulator named simply "Video game" That literally has 16 different console emulators , It has the NES , SNES , GBC , GBA , MD (Sega Genesis) , NEO , GC , Wii , N64 , MAME (not sure , what it is) NDS ,PSP , PSX/PS1 , 3DS , SWAN , And finally DC
The MD (Sega Genesis) Has over 2640 games , even though some are not actually official games like Sonic Classic Heroes and Somari , It is very great since the controls are responsive, You can customize the controls and I think its only available on Android , Since last time i wanted to download on IOS , it wasn't available sadly.
Lets hope that this video does not get demonetized

i dont know about how powerful the dreamcast is but
people already modded the mario 64 decompilation into an android port, which ran perfectly fine
if mario 64 works like a charm, and with the dreamcast emulators running both sa1 and sa2 perfectly on low end hardware, maybe we can get a chance to actually get ports of it?
all people have to do is decompile the dreamcast roms, hell, USE THE SADX PC PORT AS A BASE

@sosman64 Ok got it installed but not in a playable state (mostly due to the graphics being corrupted and videos not working (and audio lag but that's a problem with the iso or emulator)
