I have loved singing since I was a child, and I am 73 years old now, but I continue to sing. I plan to sing this song at a mini concert this fall. Your careful guidance will be very helpful. Thank you very much.
Wow! I just went back to this after 5 months of exercising to extend my range. What a difference. It’s flowing much better this time with much more ease. You’re just the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you again!
@@SherryWidmer Yaaaaay! That brings joy to my heart! "Flow" and "ease" are how singing should feel, and I'm delighted you're re-discovering those sensations! 😁🎶🌟

@@talibahodonkor9202 Hi, and welcome. I'm glad you found it useful, and I hope you've explored some of my other tutorials. I'm happy you're here singing with me. 😁🎶
Just stumbled across your tutorial. Absolutely loved it. Mozart is my favourite composer and going through your tutorial has given me such an incite into the aria's construction. Excellent! I'm 77 and still sing but mainly folk music although I would like to try some of the arias of Papageno from the Magic Flute.
@@davidmay8775 Hello, and welcome to my channel. I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful. You might also like Se Vuol Ballare one of Figaro's aria's which I posted the other week. I love Mozart too, and will add Papageno to the list! Happy singing! 😁🎶
Thanks for these wonderful tips!! In a couple of days I’ll be singing this aria for the first time (actually first time ever singing a lyrical song) and after your lesson I feel more confident!!! I’m really grateful 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for your video, it helps a lot ! I'd like to know what means exactly op. breath ? I'm not an english speaker and I have no clue. Thank you !
Hi! Thanks for watching. In this video it's an optional breath (abbreviated to op.). That means you can take a breath if you need one....or not! I hope that helps? 😁🎶
That was very interesting. Maybe I'll give it a try if I ever get the house to myself. But first I need to memorise how to pronounce Italian even when I don't know what it means, learn to instinctively roll Rs, and hit the flageolet like never before 😉
That's how I started - mimicking Pavarotti with no clue what I was doing! A lot of opera singers aren't fluent in multiple languages either (myself included!!), but opera companies have language coaches who focus on pronunciation. Italian is the best language to sing!! 😁🎶

Wonderful! It’s going to be so much fun extending my range and working on agility with this aria. Thank you.
You're welcome. It's quite a big sing with lots of challenges - esp those melismatic passages. I hope you have fun with it. 😁🎶
