Great review. Cool facts the hubby said like that Gino M. and Mike D. we're cousins. I have a lot of respect for Mike Browning and was great to be a penpal with the man in the early 00s, for all the great bands he started, the occult/lovecraftian influence he brought to them. I still think from a technical/musical creation point the Mike D./Sean M. guitar duo was above any earlier or post A.D. guitar incarnation of the band (and when they play "The Key" songs there's tiny stuff missing that made it way more virtuoso). Still the AD stuff might less sci-fi but gone more weird and psychedelic. Like Nocturnus + Gigan + Alchemist in a blender. A new lease of life (or is it death?) for Lord Nocturnus.
It's that great to hear a bit of death metal history told by you, John! I've heard most of that, but you confirmed all of them! It's part of the best years of my life here in Brazil: 80s and 90s! Those were the years! And I agreed with every single word that you said, Sue! Mike is a legend! A reference of Death Metal music! He always played with excelent musicians and a he's a VERY inteligent guy! The combination of these 2 factors makes Nocturnus AD Unique! The essence of "Science of Horror" continues! I remember Mike once told me that he always tried to keep the essence of old school metal bands + different and unusual and technical stuffs in his music. I do appreciate this! Excelent video, Verica couple! Much appreciated!
Good review. At first I couldn't get through the 2nd half because the vocals but for some reason I couldn't stop coming back to the album. This album grew on me and now I can't get it out of my head.
Sue & John, please start your own channel. I bet i am not the only one who thinks that it would be killer to hear all the stories and reviews from both of you .
The music is fantastic. I'm not a fan of his vocal cadence. The review was great and I feel you guys should do your own show based on history of great underground bands. I'll give the album another listen today.

The Verica duo nailed it of course and I think we'd all love to see them branch out into their own channel!
