Hello, I like your videos very much and they show a very fast learning of your drawings from the first 6 months! I have the impression that your learning is early ' more than normal '. I would like to know with your 18 month learning period what course you recommend for a beginner? Draw a Box and Proko? At the same time? I would like to make an efficient and intelligent learning plan. You also advise not to change courses often do thats not easy to know how process , so many topic : perspective, dynamic sketching, figure, anatomy, composition and so many course ... ^^ Thank you for your advice.
Hey Thomas! Thanks for the response and the question. Yes I would agree that my progress seems quite fast. However, it really didn't feel that way in the beginning. I felt that I was making no progress! I realize that everyone's experience and progress will be different. I would like to think that I am a fast learner ... however, that only caused more frustration when I didn't see fast progress and I almost quit! So this is a double edge sword! I advise to learn to enjoy the process whether you are fast or slow in your progress ... because in the end the key is not to quit! As it relates to courses. Doing one at a time seems to make sense to me. But you can also do drawing that is "fun" as you do a course. Which course you choose will really depend on what you "think" you want to do (as this may change as you learn). If you really like figure drawing do the proko figure drawing. If you want to learn drawing from imagination and dynamic sketching etc ... then draw a box is a good choice. The key is to remember there is no absolute right or wrong or silver bullet. It's going to take time no matter the course. ... but remember to enjoy!
Thanks Gingaichi! I have an instagram page but haven't been updating it unfortunately. I will likely start using it at some point and will let you all know when that happens. For now it is just youtube.
