I remember having my character stare out of the bridge window for about an hour and 20 minutes I was waiting for my friends to get home and hop on, and I just wanted to chill but then I noticed that none of the ships ever played the same animation twice and when I looked down at the word below me I see different red lines, blue lines and heavy ornaments go to different places. It was then I realized after double checking with the devs in the Hell divers discord server that when you stare out that window you're seeing people Drop pod, call down strategies and ordnance in real time! it blew my mind and for a moment I realized that playing this game I really was part of something bigger than myself. Super Earth may not be real, but the fight for it very much is!
Gotta say that is the only game were i prefer to play with randos instead of my friends the community has been awesome so far it's always a little memorable journey with each team where you don't know what to expect but everyone gives it their all from level 1 to 30 the team play aspect and feeling is really huge i think compared to other games like people here usually really mean it it's almost like real comradery in the field, this one time i was playing with some dude on extreme just us 2 and despite dying multiple times barely managing we were gritting our teeth to the point we actually managed to send the icbm on those robot fuckers no evac but standing there saluting together screaming like madman over the headset after all this hard work for 40 minutes with a stranger was fucking awesome 😂 It's not a game for ragequitters it's for people who are patinet and get shit done no matter how terrible the odds and i LOVE IT for that, the game rewards you handsomely for not being a pussy that dibs on the slighest inconvinience, instantly went up 1 level from 0 exp recieved 3600 R and 10 "Medals" for this madness. See you on the battlefield and keep fighting the good fight helldiver 🫡 the perimeter is almost established
Guys... are you so naive ? It can't be in real time... it's almost 130 000 people playing... it's just some animation, these ships are not linked to people...
@@siteks536 You're overestimating the network complexity of this feature. The game server simply has to cherry pick up to a dozen or so games that are ongoing, and send your game a notification for any time a strategem is used in one of those games. It's a nice touch from the developers.
@@red-spell You are still dreaming... Turn your brain on guys 😅 during the first day we could already see some orbital laser from these ship... and every body was level 1. I like how you can tell how desperate a mission is going based on the amount of strategem call ins as well as the drop pod reinforcements. It's just SO cool that there is this mixh detail that you can actually see the wider war happening around you. Keep up the fight helldivers.
I absolutely love this detail in Helldivers 2. Even on your ship, your whole view in front of you is a reminder of what is happening, and that you are going back into the fray soon. Ships firing ordnance, dropping hellpods and eagles to strike at the ground and even watching ships get destroyed when fighting on automaton worlds. If you look directly down at the ground below, you can even see pillars of red and blue light representing strategems being called in and flashes of light from the fighting. Your ship may be your home, but it's no safety.
I felt the same thing. Definitely reminds me of the invasion of reach. Sometimes I just turn off all the sounds except for the main sound effects of the ships and just listen to the orbital bombardment. Reminds me a lot of the battle of New Alexandria ambience.
I've already fallen asleep to this many times after long nights of diving with friends and randoms. It's a new game still, but i can tell that this theme will be very nostalgic one day.
I'm listening to this on day 57 of the war. The Automatons have been reduced to just three worlds: Maia, Durgen, and Tibit. We have liberated the Creek. Some calm before the storm before dropping to eliminate the Bot threat once and for all.
If these ships are player’s ships acting in real time, I wonder if the ones that get blown up in automaton space are players who failed the mission (or just logged off)
I think in HD1 if someone left that system you could see their ship FTL away off the planet map Makes me think how do the bug’s actually spread? Like when you are above a bug planet they aren’t shooting at the Destroyer ships so how do bugs spread across planets?
Think it might be something like that. I’ve only seen it once, but im pretty sure something in game mentions the bugs breaking out of farms. Probably go onto civilian ships and spread across whatever planet they landed on

When you play through a shitton of 40 minute missions and you're about ready to sign off for the night but you're chilling with the crew
