However if you lose you only got half, and from what I try max exp I can get around 12k/12k power
So you don't need to fight stronger than that
It depends on where you are at, really.
Early game, I realized that losing to a full lv 120 team gave me more points than winning a team I could actually beat, which were like lv 30 or something. And much much less points if I lost to said lv team.
So I just kept rolling for whale teams and submit myself to defeat because that's how society wanted me to do. :^)

Mistake no 6: not had limitbroken your ships when you've got a duplicate, when you get a duplicate of a ship use it to limitbreak the locked one you have, then if you get another duplicate of a fully limitbroken ship, you can retire it. it very annoying when a ship gets a very good retrofit and you have to spend 5 bulins to get to it, but you remember that you have retired many duplicates of that ship before, like Sandy or London.
Mistake no 7: YES, bulins are very valuable and NEVER retire them. Especially with events that gives you a special portrait if you fully limitbreak certains ships. There are like 400 ships in the game and you won't get many of them more that once, so make good use of every bulin you have.
Mistake no 8: Not paying attention to Phoenix. don't be fooled by tier list and stuff, she is one of the most efficient, versatile and useful ship in game.

Yep, phoenix is good for low cost farming, i would recommend retrofit royal CL, their FP is closer to CA than CL

Keep in mind, a lot of these tips are only useful if you're looking to put some hardcore farming hours into the game. If you only play for a few minutes to hour or so each day, I don't think it's possible to ever run out of oil.
true, when i grind, i go semi efficient, and burn like 10k oil over 4 hours while passive auto. When I need to blow the oil, I just run full fleets and do ch 10+, burn 10k oil in like 1hr. IF I want to super try hard grind, I could make 10K oil last 10+ hrs. Never gone that far, but it is possible. Some have mathed it and done it, where they literally make more oil than they use.
My friend started out, and he never had oil problems. It becomes harder to manage oil later when you have a lot more powerful fleets. Also the content you want to farm.
Yeah, I play several hours a day and still am "I got 6000 oil on exams, and 2x 2000 in the store, and 4000 in mail... how can I run out. I need to use 1200oil commissions just to use up all I get.
@@yummychips_ I usually produce more oil than I use so it's not a problem plus it hinders my oil production when it's full and my oil capacity is also full so I had to waste it through farming

I use as much epics as I can
limit breaking early is kinda okay if you get the exact same ship from drop or build. The bullin will fill the dock space eventually and you have to spend gems immediately

I limit break whenever I can not because I need the stat boost but because I always run out of storage space. And I'm not playing actively enough to run out of oil anyways.

I like to see that there are youtubers making Azur Lane videos now! When I started to play Azur Lane, no one plays this game as it just released on Google play. I am happy to see people guiding beginners to play the game.
I'm a Day 1 player and this popped up in my recommended. The Limit Break 0 thing really only works on the Chinese server, where limit breaks don't increase the level cap (You can have LB0 ships at level 100). This advice is pretty mediocre on EN/JP.
What is limit break 0 ?

@@AutisticHorse basically ships without limit breaks (capped at lvl70 and to all-out assaults, to extra shots on BB, no extra planes etc). They are weaker but cost less so some people use them for grinding.

Maybe leaving an under leveled healing/support ship is also a common mistake.
Although not all players were lucky enough to get support ships early game. Many would just go for a powerful FP lineup without healing

Use rare and common ships even if you didn't Elite or Super Rare. Keep progressing, you eventually get better ships. Rare and Common especially ships with retrofit potential. They cost less, packs enough punch, they will eventually be superseded but until Chapter 12-13, they are powerful enough for events and main campaign until 11.
Like you said, build a variety of warships to fulfilled your requirement.

Wait, how do you tell the type difference between each ship. I always see these two letters on the top of each ship, but I dont know what they mean
DD - Destroyer
CL - Light Cruiser
CA - Heavy Cruiser
BB - Battleship
CV - Aircraft Carrier
CVL - Light aircraft carrier
SS - Sub
AR - Repair ship

Mistake No. 6: Don't rely much on tier lists
I always use total stats thing and then use the highest ships on the list.
I don't even care about those tier list lol
I just read their ability and form a team around it usually I'm focus on evasion (Don't know if it's good or bad)
Tier list are the grace of the Gods.
I stumbled on this video by pure chance because of an azur lane music video. I actually didn't realize the first few mistakes at all and very recently started playing Azur Lane on my PC, so this is quite helpful information! I haven't tried PvP yet, but at least now I'm already aware of how valuable it is to simply slam into it even if you lose. As for limit breaking, rather good to know. I'm at least able to make more conscious decision making for limit breaking now.
The one mistake here I seem to have avoided is that I actually am taking and leveling a variety of ships. 1 carrier per fleet, 2 battleships, at least 1 DD, and 1-2 cruisers is what I'm presently running with while also using exercising commissions to try and level up the two fleets I have so I can, ya know, use both fleets at once instead of only using Fleet 1 to try and do entire stages.
Thank you for this video, it certainly helped at least make me aware of especially the first 2 mistakes! I had zero clue you could level up your T1 and T2 boxes to T3. Now I feel bad for all those T1 boxes I opened yesterday on my first day, but I can right that wrong with the next ones I get.
Hi, I just started playing this game 4 days ago and these tips were really helpful, but I still have some questions. First, how do I get gear? Every ship I get doesn’t really have any gear at all and what I get from missions are these books to enhance gear so I’m a bit confused there. Second is, what is the ideal method for farming XP? Do I go on a stage and clear out all the enemies + the boss or do I prioritize the boss once it appears (after taking out 3 or 4 patrols)? (I’m on stage 2-4 as of now).
Gear can come from tech boxes that you can buy in the shop, build exchange, or drop from completing battles. In battles, you can also get gear parts, and once you get a certain amount of parts for a specific type of gear, you can build it using coins and then equip it on a ship. You can check craft under depot for that.
For XP farming, the harder the difficulty of the fleet you face, the more XP you earn. 3 triangle red fleets give more than 2 triangle ones, 2 triangle gives more than 1 triangle. But it usually isn’t too big of a difference. Bosses of course give more XP than any mob fleets, so I suppose you should clear just enough to get to boss. If you clear all mob fleets before boss fleet, you can also run out of ammo or not have enough HP to fight the boss. Also, keeping ships in the dorm grants experience bonuses, along with oathing ships. Not to mention, keeping ships in the dorm also passively gives XP to ships.

So I just figured out what retrofit really is yesterday. I've been playing this game off and on for TWO YEARS. at the least. And within these past couple weeks, I've been learning so much. Watching videos like these, trying new things etc. I'm having more fun and kicking ass and my fiance is helping me notice details I have totally missed. He doesn't play but he's a huge gamer so he is a great sidekick 🥰
Last thing: is javelin worth having around? Her stats are low and I do enhance as much as possible. I focus all my energy into super rare girls as I seem to have quite a few. I used to make sure all my purple or higher were evenly strong for variety but I feel like I've been wasting effort, time and resources by doing so. Advice, please? Thanks so much for this help! Glad to hear you're really getting into and enjoying the game! Javelin is the worst of all the starters unfortunately, although still not *bad* early on. I would focus on 12 ships early on, 6 in the mob and 6 in the boss fleet. Also note that rarity does not always correlate with power level in this game. There are some great common ships and terribly SSR ships. There's not too much you can invest into a ship and have it "go to waste" except for maybe skill books. The great thing about Azur Lane is the ability to just pick a ship and immediately be able to start using her by just swapping gear over form someone else. Don't worry too much about leveling too many ships unless you're focused on pushing the story as far as possible, which in that case you want to stick to your 12 ships so you level them ASAP.
Oil efficiency is a damn problem at later level when you're at a point you're supposed to be able to farm event maps.
That's when I've started using zero Limit Breaks, and that really saved me a lot of oils.
It all depends on the clearing range, though. If I can't beat EX Part 2 Event maps yet, but can do Normal Part 2 Event maps reasonable well, I just throw in some trained zero Limit Breaks and Illustrious, and then adjust my fleets after that.
Good lord Battleships eats your oil stocks.
But BBs have lovely performance in terms of being able to defend themselves against things like suicideboats especially in w10 and w11 also the most busted character in the whole game just happens to be a BB
Well yeah. There's a reason BBs are one of the most expensive ships you can throw out. Super viable in about every area, if you can afford it.
If you have hyuuga I very much suggest using her excellent performance for only 13 oil
Btw why do you like using lusty in mobbing it sounds like? Wouldn't more usual healer like uni or shou be more conventional?
I played around for a bit, and I switch between using Akashi and Illustriel. Illustriel can take a few more hits in case of the suicide ships, and if I get lucky with the shield, I'll just ram at one. I don't even know what Shoukaku does since I don't have her.

-Buying any skill book you see even if low on coins. This has helped me so much in the long run and I don't need to worry about them almost at all ( red ones being the most needed since most ships have like 2 offence skills )

It bothers me how your Neptune is only limit broken to 5 stars but she’s still lvl 110
I just noticed that his Warspite is lvl 110 and im starting to worry for myself.
I swear i was lvl 55 when my warspite retro reached lvl 120. (Now its about 124)
I started the game in early-mid December 2019. A mistake I made before having a high level captain was I went crazy for limit breaking ships when I didn't really need to. I was leveling just fine, I had nothing approaching level cap that needed limit breaking. I ran into an issue that with all these limit broken ships, my oil usage compared to what I was generating killed my high sortie rate. Even with commissions to help generate some extra oil, my rate of sorties dwindled sharply. I needed several days to generate a stockpile of oil so I could work on a map some.
And that was for normal play. I didn't even count the pressure of limited time events to run and clear maps, stockpile event tokens to get gear, new ships. All that needs sorties, and if your fleet is too costly to run on oil, then you're not going to sortie much.
Same mistake here. I LB'd my Laffey twice at level 30. I didn't struggle with the maps, it's just that I cant sortie as much as i could've.
Did same, no issues though, the amount of bonus oil and money thrown at you at the start is insane.
I actually don't agree with the "don't use limit break 0 ships" part because limit break 0 cassin and downes literally cost 1 oil to use each, so can help you save a little bit of oil when farming coins or gear from lower stages ( 19 oil with cassin downes erebus + one max lb ssr carrier compared to 25 with just phoenix + bb backline ). When grinding, each drop of oil counts in my opinion and using low rarity no lb ships can help with this when you want to save up resources for future events.
Besides, I don't think anyone would be using a fully limit broken cassin/downes/erebus on stages 10 up anyways, so limit breaking them would be a bit of a waste of gold.

1. agree, but dont do it if you scared to mess up with your PVP win rate, but after you already reach chapter 6 ++, pvp become useless for leveling, just spam 7-2 to dead (until your ship lvl 100 in 7-2) or spam highest chapters for lvling
2. not so agree, BUT if you are still below lvl 30 commanders or have crap luck, you're allowed to open some blue boxes, because you need some "High Stat Gears" for pass through 3-4
Ik 3-4 is hard for newbie (because the air superiority mechanic)
Also just enhance the most useable blue / purple gears you use, dont over use the enhance materials for useless gears, you will need it for another stronger gears in the future (gold doesnt mean its the strongest)
3. totally agree, BUT you can build your LB0 cassin-downes, erebus, rodney/nelson after you can spam 7-2 easily (NOTE = this only for farming some gold gears blueprint, coins (7-2), and purple enhance materials, "not so" for leveling, because even if your ship lvl 1000 but still using +6 gears, its will be harder to pass harder chapters, even its strong gears, your early main boss fleet and your early main mobs fleet MUST use total +10 strong gears, even they are lvl 105++)
4. agree, note = ReAd your limit break specific ship section, because every ships get something different in the limit break section, if its not worth it, just dont limit break it before lvl 70
5. just agree, but you CAN just focus lvling single early boss/mobs fleet members, if you have strong 1x BB, ...x CV/CVL, 1x strong DD (laffey/z23), CL, CA, if you lack of variety ships in event maps, just sacrifice low lvl ship for the entry ticket, and let them run until die while your stronger ship carry the game, if you dont mind sacrificing cute innocent girls ( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉)
you can leveling another variety of ships after your early boss/mobs fleet members is strong (read below this)
(its not a problem if part of strong early boss/mobs fleet ship members, using +10 gears, lvl 110++) [because your early single boss/mobs fleet members MUST, MUST, i repeat MUST be crazily strong to become carry for another low lvl good/useable ships]
(high EVA, high torPEDO and high AA ships is needed in some event (also ASW ship, but not so often) i think.... you need lvling this ships in some event maps or chapter maps for preparing some incoming events)

- DONT TRUST TIER LIST = tier list only for againts max harder chapter (like chapter 13 while me write this comment), different chapter, different challenge, brave man, little challenge (:'v)
- read this wiki azurlane.koumakan.jp/ a LO0OT, also just3c explain that wiki better somehow, but single guiders also have mistakes, so do your own research to confirm facts
-MUST do your dailies run, but you can ignore daily PVP runs if my point 1 is passed, bUt if you playing AL for PVP, then do it (edit)

Nice video. I did a lot of LB recently, so I need to stop. I have 20k oil, but I see a lot of people talk about efficiency, so I'll keep the lvl 70 LB rule in the back of my mind.

I disagree with not lbing before level 70. You should lb when you're struggling.
Basically just LB as you near lvl cap or when you struggle.
Or if you get a frick ton of oil.

I'm a very patient man. I'm still level 50 but my entire fleet is married and all level 100+ what I did was just use all my oil in food then login once a day to feed them in the dorm. I repeat this process for more than a month that got most of them to level 50-70. Feed them=more furniture coins=more furniture=increase level up buff=higher level ships. Very slow process but I'm fine with it.

I remember when I started playing and no matter what I always had more than the maximum oil amount and never ran out the first time I ran out was a hard event I was farming 20 times a day A long time art tee I started and I limit broke ships in bands and ships I got doubles of when I get them and when it came to levelling up characters I’m not using I put them on commissions and some blue equipment And very very very few grey are good for me one of the biggest things to consider is are the ships your using good or bad there are some elite and super that are bad and a lot of common a rare that are very good but don’t get used because players think there bad based on rarity
Now I realize how little oil I used. I (when i quit) had 10,000 oil over the limit it gave me. I wasn’t that dedicated
Well actually most players are overcapped tbh, Im lvl 100 and still usually have around 20k oil + like 50k more in mail
1) How would you get Erebus up to max affinity without either using her loads or leaving her in the dorm hoping to get the random affinity boosts for so long she'd have gone way past her level 70 cap?
2) Limit breaking ships whenever you can is useful, the second limit break for destroyers, carriers and most cruisers give an extra charge on their torps/planes which is useful for bosses. Also handy for the events where it specifies you need 4 ships to get points, if 3/4 of the ships specified are fully limit broken you're only needing to use between 2 and 4 bullins as opposed to 16 bullins to get them ready before the event even begins
1) Secretaries gain passive affinity till 90.
2) Not to mention the amount needed for the new ships depending on drops. So many bullins pumped in the Russians.
@@hassathunter2464 he's mentioned in his video on affinity that to get from 90 affinity it still takes about 100 battles if the ship is getting MVP every time, so either way he's used Erabus quite a bit
This still doesn't tell me why my ere bus is stuck on 70 lvl when I see other people with 111 lvl erebus's
Erebus as a Battlemonitor gains very little stats when limit broken past Lv70, not making it worth the resources and earning her niche as a Limit Break 0 backline farming ship for cheap oil farming (for late game, don't worry too much about oil cost until you have multiple Lv120s).

Chinese player here, has been playing this game since Chinese server was just open. And is now lv128 with 100+ lv120 ships.
Do not limit break 0!!! Especially when you are a beginner!
The reason we use limit break 0 is : In Chinese server, we can reach lv100 without limit break. This provides huge lv advantage. But this is out of official's expectation, so they fixed it when this game came to Japan and America. Limit break 0 with only lv70 is very bad.

It's so hard to level up ships, I played for three days and only two ships get to 40+,most of them are 25+
Biggest mistake ever: Waifu > Meta. If you like a shipgirl, use it.
Mistake you made: LB your ships when lvl 70. You are missing out on fleet tech. You need that for research and bonus stats. And you are wasting EXP when sending them on commissions. Just limit break your ships when at lvl 70 ffs. Yes this triggers me the most.
It doesn't cost a lot of coins, especially common and only after MLB you can retrofit them.
I'm glad that I did most of it despite not aware of it but my problem is I blow up my free 1k gem just for a reroll in gacha and I regret it.
I didn't care about leveling cruisers and only used destroyers. Now I'm suffering and can't clear the last stage of the events because of that. Also, if you guys get Hood, level her up as soon as possible. She's weak compared to battleships, but since she's a rare kind of ship (battlecruiser, which you need in some events) it's worth it to level her up.

Limit breaking ships you’ll never use is not a great idea
It’s just a waste

If you have a bullin and you can retrofit something, use the bullin for the retrofit don’t use it for limit break
A retrofitted San Diego would need a legendary bullin to do that and for example a retrofitted laffey can do a crap ton of damage
so use a bullin for retrofit limit breaking won’t do as good as a retrofit
i just use another sandi as i have hell tons of sandi from build

Hey, I was curious because I wasn't paying to much attention when I was clearing hard mode missions. I was wondering if your still able to clear escort ships on hard mode with no threat level. I only have the boss for a hard mode mission and cant seem to defeat the rest of the escort ships now.
you can, you just have to disable "clearing mode"

LB2 any vanguard that has torpedo makes huge difference, it help a lot. but yeah, other than for torpedo and salvo, limit break didn't makes 'huge' stats differences.

hey i want to know if my formation is good, i have enterprise illustrious and unicorn at max limit break level 80 and in the front, belfast prinz eugen and Z23 also fully limit broken, with retrofit for lil Z all vanguard is also level80
remove one of the carriers ( not unicorn, she heals the vanguard ) and replace it with a battleship/battle cruiser. Trust me, when your vanguard is sunk in PvP, it will be the last line of defense. I suggest making sure it got some good health+armor bcuz once, my vanguard is destroyed and my battlecruiser (kirishima) got destroyed and the lone destroyer the enemy had left got about 100hp

Which emulator are you using? I have bluestacks 4 and the characters are not animated, except from laffey.
I'm currently using Bluestacks - you may need to download the L2D files by going into Settings in the game!

my first mistake was leveling up and using the upgrade ships in my team (the purple and gold loli's). they are weak and are only good for using them to upgrade purple and gold ships
does it matter if you use bulins or duplicates to limit break? i came from valkyrie crusade where it mattered since if you used duplicates you got better stats, so im just curious.

Old video obviously, but I'm a new player and limit break my white/blue/purple ships before 70 when I can in order to get rid of their copies and free up dock space. Am I wrong in doing so?
It's not too bad, especially if you're doing it for space issues. Just note their oil cost goes up a bit every limit break but so does their performance. It's a trade off.
