I have this same setup. It is as affective as any of the RRS for less than half the cost. Josh has been great to deal with and as a veteran his experience shoes in his products and choices.
My camera tripod is carbon fiber, has a ball head, load bearing hook, spiked feet and rubber ones, and it all came standard. A little more expensive than $140 though lol
I bought one ! It is top notch and well worth the money! Get the ball head you won’t be sorry!

Will clamping forearm on a floating barrel affect travel?
As long as your rifle doesn't use a plastic stock that flexes, using the Hog Saddle won't affect the free-float of the barrel.
