Andy and Bryan, Thank you helping me learn and correct shooting from a tri pod, It is saving me ammo .I really like the straight forward way that the video was presented.
just watched your TH-cam video about tripod shooting. I have a Benro professional carbon fiber tripod and a Really Right Stuff BH-50 ball head. So the gear is plenty beefy enough. What I am wondering though, as I have never shot off tripod before, is do you loosen your ballhead to line up your shot and then tighten it down secure? Or do you want to leave a little slack in the bullhead? I know with a camera you don’t want to, but could this be different? Thank you in advance.
With my primary hunting rifle I find a vertical change in point of impact if from the bench or from my tripod. I remember reading once from a hunting mag the author saying he had a different poa from kneeling and from the bench so he zeroed hunting guns from hunting positions.

Im new to tripod shooting. Have you noticed a difference in your point of impact prone using a bipod compared to using the tripod?
