Case in point he's a pick up artist, discussing sex addiction and aversion from love. These girls ask him for a threesome. "Sorry I'm grounded and don't want to rebell the confines of my home imprisonment" does that sound legit to you?
His discussion, at least as you describe it, comparing love addict to sex addict is convoluted at best and doesn't convey a meaning that gets to the point.
His notions are quite unhealthy and irrational. Reminds me of medieval conceptions of medicine and mental health when he considers brain scans and healthy reasoning towards decision making. I think he might need to rewrite this book or others may have to..... Not.. buy... It. At all.
Pretty sure Neil Strauss is gay. I know that's coming a bit abrupt but I've read some of his work, watched his interviews and study human behavior like Shaun Spencer in Psych and Intelligence better than Snowden... Pretty sure he's gay. I've studied pick up and social engineering and I'm a bad ass boss.
Strauss is a good liar but he's not that great. He over embellishes too far and not well enough to do more than entertain and be questionable in what he shares... No offense to him. There are better masters in the pick up game to draw from.
