I'm Lebanese and I loooove Lebanese bread ! You can make a mix of your favourite cheeses and put them on the bread and in the oven, or smear it with garlic paste and some dried mint and in the oven it goes. Love this idea I make something similar to it when I feel like pizza but don't want the dough. Thanks for the recipe, love all the way from Lebanon ! ❤

My husband uses Naan bread to make pizzas in a skillet--- heats up some oil, puts a piece of Naan in it (flips over to warm up) loads it w/ goodies, covers skillet top with foil (prefers it to a skillet lid) till the cheese is melted. OMG they are wonderful. Love the idea of the salsa--- will suggest that to him next time.

ohnuttz garlic naan would be delicious. Or you could cut a clove in half and rub it over the bread before putting the tomato base on, just to give it a bit of that flavour.

we have come across garlic naan and have tried it. Not too bad but prefer regular naan bread.

Ha, yes I do this too. We call it our summer pizza. Its so hot in the summer we don't use the oven part of our stove until winter. But yeah you can put all kinds of stuff on it. Mexican pizza or traditional styles. I love naan pizza 🍕 💞

David, this video was like seeing an old friend after many years. My mom and I used to make pizza like this all the time when I was a kid. No idea why we stopped, but it was probably after learning how to make pizza dough. It's been years since I've had pizza like the one you made here. As soon as you showed the Lebanese flatbread (similar to the pita we would use), it was a blast from the past. Now, I know what I'll be making this week. Thanks for the recipe and the memories! Wishing you good health and happiness for years to come!

This has saved me so many times, because it is time and cost effective plus it tastes SOOOOO YUMMY! Thank you so so much for sharing! You're the best

Sometime make a pizza with a white sauce and some cheese. When it comes out of the oven top it with a cold Caesar salad it is so so good! Also if for some reason you need to wait go ahead and make your bases and then reheat them adding a salad that you already made once they are warm. It is very good. You don't need Caesar dressing either put a little bit of olive oil salt and pepper some Parmesan shreds you can also make it with arugula.

Pita Bread Pizzas. I made those pita bread pizzas with my kids when they were little. They we're cheaper than the Boboli pizza crusts and they were easier for the little ones to eat. So many years ago. My little ones are now thirty years old and over six feet tall. But, still make the Pita Bread Pizzas from time to time. 😎
P.S. English Muffins Work Really Well for "Little" Pizzas and they fit nicely in the Toaster Oven.

I have one of the most severe forms of gastroparesis. My digestive system from my throat down only runs on gravity I have no more muscle movement so there are certain things that I don't deal with well when I try to eat them. Pizza crust isn't one of them but I would love to try this! I have used pita bread before and I have used big tortilla shells made of yellow corn for Mexican pizza. I wouldn't be caught dead eating a keto Pizza. I have an Arabic bread store down the street in Old Portland Maine! I can get these kinds of flatbreads and they call them Esh. They have a thin one and I have a thicker one.

I can't eat traditional pizza dough either, it's always hurt my stomach, so I do the same thing, I use Lebanese pitas that look exactly like yours that I've been buying from Whole Foods for 10 years. I actually like them better because I like my crust thin and crispy which is exactly what they do when baked with a little olive oil on top (but not crispy like chips, like a good thin pizza dough). Thanks for another great recipe! ❤

This reminds me of a dish they serve in a restaurant near me called Manaeesh (the dish, not the restaurant). They describe it as a Lebanese pizza. They use similar Lebanese flatbread, and they serve it with a Lebanese pickle. It's delicious, and it looks like this is too. Keep up the good work.

I have been making these for years on pita bread. I do it to save calories but I still get a great pizza. Pita has less calories than Naan bread. For a sauce base I use either my spaghetti meat sauce, jar or canned spaghetti sauces or I have a great recipe for what I call chow. It is an old recipe from my husbands grandmothers sister and years ago I hated it, lol! Crazy, but I woke up one day years later and was craving this on pasta. OMG fantastic! Now I make it all the time and use it on my pita pizzas as well.....nothing better. My husband puts it on toast. If you would like the recipe, let me know and I will give it to you.

I grew up with my mother making us English muffin pizzas which we will still eat into our adulthood. Most people don't free toast English muffin and I must because I like a crunchy crust. I'm not saying that this is good for you but it's just something in my memory bank and my heart. Yours is a wonderful idea and I'm going to employ it because I love pizza but I don't love frigging with dough! garlic naan would be delicious.
Or you could cut a clove in half and rub it over the lebanese bread before putting the tomato base on, just to give it a bit of that flavour. One of the things i like on pizza because I am vegetarian (but not vegan) is pumpkin and spinach and feta cheese. Pre cook the pumpkin chunks to almost soft so that it bakes nicely in the oven and bush the chunks with a little honey mixed with a dash of balsamic to give it a caramel flavour.
( hope there are no typos here because I don't have my glasses on and I can barely see the screen. :D )
