Hi All! Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated! I know it’s been a long time since I last made a video, but unfortunately I’ve been dealing with some health issues recently. The osteoarthritis in my lower spine has begun to majorly impact my mobility, so TH-cam has had to take a backseat. I’d like to come back, but chances are I’d be making videos with voice over only (makes it easier to film) so let me know if you would be okay with that. Lots of love to you all and thanks for your kind thoughts❤️ David aka One Pot Chef
Hey mate good to hear you're around! I was the one who asked you to try that can of L&P softdrink years ago. I am currently cooking dinner and the thought popped into my head "I wonder what the one pot chef is doing these days". Then I see your newset video was 10 months ago but this pinned comment only an hour ago! I used to watch you and Nicko all the time but haven't watched anything of yours in years. Cheers for the inspiration, from NZ
@@THEMMASOYRU You can thank fellow New Zealander For the update I contacted him earlier this afternoon to ask him how he was doing and asked if he could update everyone
@@theMcWOPPER didn’t speak too soon at all! It’s been very stressful here in Australia the last few months. My uploading schedule has been very inconsistent as well. Let’s show some understanding and grace shall we. xxx
I just want to let you know how much you changed my and my families life. I never cooked and did a lot of fast pre made foods and those options become repetitive because I was sooo scared of these recipes and cooking or trying to make delicious things outside my limited skills. You gave me such courage to try making these delicious meals and decadent dessert recipes you have posted here. I really gained so much momentum from your channel all these years and love your recipes. Even the ones with multiple ingredients you direct them in a way that makes it feel so much less intimidating than most channels and recipes. I really thank you for every video you have posted. My family Thanks you too!!!
Yes-We missed you terribly! Love your amazing laugh! Kind of devilish and joyful at the same time! We don’t really know your life, but safe to say you are loved by your fans! More…please!!!
@ Darlyne Redd - Great description of his laugh! "Kind of devilish and joyful at the same time" I *DO* miss seeing his new videos, and worry about his health issues, but it's nice that he's kept the old ones up so we can re-watch them. Miss *him*, though.
I saw the notification for this when I was at work. I had a busy day, bit weary, bit stessed. Cheered me up no end that I was coming home for a treat. Thank you, made my day!
This is awesome - relatively low effort for such a delicious outcome. Very accessible for those of us who are not so talented in the cooking department!
The notification bell is ringing from Australia and here is my favourite chef with another pretty yummy recipe. I'm so pleased seeing you again and beeing given such a gorgeous chocolate crunch cake wich I'll do by myself thankfully, gratefully. So thank you so much and keep on going ! Vive One Pot Chef !
Of course a voice only is ok with us. Just stick with us friend. We enjoy all your food and how much you enjoy making these very fine recipes. Thank you for sharing with us 😊
Just Discovered your channel. I'm a Yank Living in Mexico (been here 34 years). Great recipe. I have a couple of friendly suggestions from my 57 years of cooking and baking. Whenever I make anything chocolate I always add a pinch of coffee (either instant in the dry or a splash of liquid with the wet) and always in sweets a pinch of salt. They will enhance the chocolate flavor. Also coffee, chocolate, orange, cinnamon and almond can be combined in any combination. Best of luck from across the pond. Jim
My favorite TH-cam videos of all time. I’m from Tampa Bay, Florida. I’m 62 and a retired ICU Nurse. How are you doing? I know you have been sick. You do such a sensational job with all of your dishes !
Not sure why but I read the title of this as “No Bake Chocolate CHURCH Cake”. The weird part is, I wasn’t even confused because where I live in the US, people use the term “Church _____” all the time. My aunt makes a salad called “Tomato, cucumber Church Salad” and my grandmother used to make a pie called “Oatmeal apple Church Pie.” Lol! Oh and who can forget “Funeral Potatoes”. Oh America. Lol! But this looks amazing and I will absolutely be trying this one! Glad to see you posting again! I made your garlic, lemon crockpot potatoes a few weeks ago, they’re a regular in my house. ❤️
Ok so I don’t have any pictures, sadly but I made this cake with Walkers Glutin Free shortbread cookies! ! It was amazing! My daughter is allergic to wheat. This is the easiest and best idea for a cake for G Free people! It’s a little pricey to buy G F cookies but so worth it for a birthday cake! Thank, you for the brain food to make this!
I'd put grated chocolate on top and some whipped cream around the edge. This looks great, happy that you're still posting videos as and when you're able to do it.
I just love how they explain everything to us so we can understand them , and they make it fun so we don't get bored or distracted ( which happens to me very often) plus they are having fun to which is amazing. So thank you! You're amazing guys!
Goodness is 1am here. N u making me craving for this. Im going to make this when i wake up. Thank u. Update 8th July. Made this cake..is in fridge. Will try later. Hope turns out yummy Update 10th July Disaster..bottom too diluted..my fault. I added to much butter. Not giving up. Will try again. Taste good though
“Warm?” That’s what you call it?! You poor people. I saw the weather report and thought, “They have snow. They have wind. They have tornadoes. Now they’re gonna spontaneously combust sitting on those tractors.....”
This looks delicious and very easy steps to follow, thanks you:) It's great to see you were able to post a video again. I hope that means your health is getting better slowly.
OMG,, it is so nice to hear your voice again. My Husband even loves your show and he can't cook at all. Please don't leave it so long next time to put another post up, it scared us we thought we would never see you again. xxxxxxx
Glad to see you back David hope your feeling a lot better all your fans missed you heaps can you make more gluten free food as I'm running out of options thanks.
I have Celiac's and have to eat gluten free. In the states we can find gluten-free biscuits, but I think I'm going to make my own gluten-free graham crackers for this recipe. I'm also going to swap out the milk and butter for oatmilk & vegan butter 🤞
I remember watching you a long time ago and than I had seen you hadn’t been posting much and talking more about mental health and depression. I find out it Almost meant to be that I started watching your videos again when I had also been having problems with depression and watching your videos always brings a smile to my face you have such an amazing personality your warm gentle voice is soothing to the soul. Thank you for bringing light into the world for us all ❤️
Thank you so much for this, I was desperate for an easy cake to do for Father's Day yesterday and this was perfect...I replaced the ganache with simple whipped cream sweetened with a little condensed milk and sprinkled a crumbled flake bar on top....absolutely delicious. Now thinking of other versions, ginger biscuits maybe or topping with cream and strawberries? Such a fab recipe. So glad to see you back and looking well...hugs from the UK.
So glad to see you back, missed you so much. This recipe is one I will make this weekend. Thanks and again happy to see you making great things again. Love and blessings
Looks delish! Another idea would be to drizzle a caramel or white chocolate drizzle across the top of chocolate ganache, or add white choc pieces to the top! 😍😍🤤 Great, easy little dessert recipe 🤩
It seems like you make the adverts in between stuff. They don't interrupt the way so many people's do. Well done. I'd like raspberries and perhaps a bit of whipped cream or even a sprinkle of powdered sugar but frankly it's fine as is. Sometimes too much stuff takes away from a lovely chocolate dessert.
My Mum used to make me something similar for me when I was little. My husband made me something like this for my birthday this year too. I'm on a diet now though so unfortunately can't eat anything like this just now 😆. I'm in the UK and would use Rich Tea biscuits for this over Digestive although Digestive would still be very nice.
