- My brother Dane Flaherty and I covering Kathy's Song by Paul Simon as part of a recording project intended as a surprise Christmas gift to our parents this year. Recorded December 9, 2017 at Talmage Music Studio in Gilbert, AZ.

So I listened (partly) to four or five attempts by other artists on TH-cam before I found this gem. Lovely voice with excellent pacing. This was a treat.
Wow, nice brother and sister. I remember my younger days singing with my two sisters. Two of us played the guitar while the other sister was doing her vocals. That was 30 years ago. Now I am living alone, still playing the guitar singing Simon & Garfunkel songs. How I miss my sisters.

Beautiful Song. Very sensitively,v expressively & wonderfully sung.. and great guitar picking.. though I would personally have used nylon strings on a folk or classical guitar..
Paul Simon was one of our generation, We Loved the poetry & sensitivity of his compositions, the subjects & the Catholicism and choral harmonies that his early music first drew & attracted global audiences on every continent to his unique blend.. Him & Garfunkel (S&G). Paul is 8 yrs older than me.. we virtually worshipped his music, hanging on every word & line, poignant, reflecting our own college existences as young adults. Learning to play guitar & pick as he did.. we were dedicated fans, at a time of great change.. Esp. in music & culture.

WOW!! I believe your Kelly. .. Your cover is AMAZING. Most singers sing it too fast. They just don't get the emotion of the song. Eva Cassidy has an INCREDIBLE TALENT and VOICE to MAKE other artists songs HER OWN. Eva Cassidy is and ALWAYS WILL BE the MOST TALENTED SINGER and GUITARIST in my generation... PERIOD!! Eva Cassidy is more talented than Paul Simon in my opinion.

@@CharlieNme11 Thnak you for your reply. I've been a fan of Simon and Garfunkel since I was a child, and I will always be. Their songs have gone with me since then. It's the type of songs you have to listen to now and then, and you never get tired. I also play the guitar and sing, so I recognize a good playing along and a good voice. Good luck!
