  • Again only just passing another one of my CPL(A) CASA exams I walked away from Human Factors with 70%, which is smack bang on the pass line. Unfortuantly this means I have still a bit to work on with my KDR's but hey its another chance to learn more about being a better pilot.
In the video I mention this CASA publication - www.casa.gov.a...
    Booklet - www.casa.gov.a...
You should use this to study Threat and error management.
Again I used the Bobt Tait text books to get a thorough understanding see - www.bobtait.co...
Additional to that I used the class time at my school to get started on the subject.
Thanks for watching and please leave a comment with any questions.

cool video man, I ended up getting 78% pass mark. TEM were definitely challenging with their ambiguous questions

The wording alone throws me!! Great work on the pass tho, that is a tricky exam to study for ! How is the rest of your study going ??

Hi, what exactly did you find didn't stick regarding TEM, what areas could be better taught/explained in you opinion?

From memory, I had trouble clearly isolating the ambiguous questions into their categories. I think that more drilling on real-life/simulated situations would help a lot.

      Are you a CFI ?

@@OliverFlying Hi thanks for your response. I’m not a CFI, i’m researching aviation risk-taking and factors that might help pilots better understand the risks. I see TEM as a potential method, but I was wandering how well its currently taught. Maybe it could be improved using more practical examples?
