They're easy to fix, have a good picture quality (625 lines on older CRTs, or even full HD on newer ones) and no input lag, that's why some people prefer CRTs for gaming. Also some older consoles aren't compatible with flatscreen TVs, I tried my Dreamcast on a 55" 4K TV and the picture was unstable and the colours were terrible, so I tried it on both my CRTs (I have 2) and the picture was fine.
I still use a Sony Trinitron 21 inch crt tv. My friends seem to find it funny or quaint & think I’m eccentric. The picture’s better than most cheap LCD TVs. There was no pixelating when we had analog tv signals. Digital is rubbish & too easily affected by weather. People seem to have forgotten how trouble free analog TVs & radios were!

The flyback voltage is irrelevant on early CRTs they used deflection plates which would have a sawtooth waveform applied to the plates in the X plane you refer to a flyback voltage well it’s not a Steady state voltage it’s just a rapid transition from the max to the minimum deflection voltage. In modern CRTs coils are used to deflect the beam so it’s actually a magnetic field which is used to deflect the beam. As for your figure if 50kv if that was applied to an X or Y deflection plate you wouldn’t see the dot it would be way off in outer space....I suggest you brush up on your electronics knowledge first then learn about cathode ray tubes before you start spouting utter twaddle lol
