Ushio and Tora is such a good anime. Not too long or too short, and the story ends up being pretty damn good, with a VERY heartfelt ending. One of the better final villains without a doubt, and really good protagonists with a great development between them. Good character and story driven stuff. A favorite for sure.

I feel like Yujiro Hanma is the human reincarnation of Tora. They clearly had a lot of the same people working on this show and the original Baki the Grappler anime. I love when you have seen enough anime to start connecting those dots. This is just my speculation. I have not researched the topic, but my best guess of common writers, artists, voice actors, etc from this show also worked on: original Baki the Grappler, Yu Yu Hakusho, Berserk'97, Inuyasha, and maybe even Naruto. .
