- We traveled to Berlin Ohio, the heartbeat of Amish country here in Ohio. It has a beautiful countryside. There are a great many things to do while staying. You can camp in the RV park or stay in motels. Also there are cottages to stay close in Berlin and in Charm Ohio. If you love shops, there are many places to explore. If you want to go to a farm and eat their food, they are providing that as well. It is for all ages.

This brings back so many great memories of the trips I have taken to Berlin. I love that area.... You guys keep ‘em coming and thank you for the memories. When we were there a couple of years ago, we noticed the “power Assisted” bikes as well.

Such a great area to visit. We always enjoy visiting the big grocery over in Walnut Creek. There cinnamon rolls are amazing.

Great video! Heading to Berlin in February and it'll be interesting to see Amish country in the middle of winter.
We were just there yesterday. If you like cinnamon rolls be sure and visit Walnut Creek Cheese. Pop them in a microwave and they are so good. Lots to see there. Just dress warm unless we have a warm day. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

Hey guys , wow I'm Irish and in Ireland here and travelled to Berlin last summer from PA where my wife is from .....fell in love with the place , beautiful,and Amish food is so good!! We were in all those places you drove , I done all the driving ,takes some getting used to driving on opposite side 😁.

Misconception that the Midwest is flat. Kansas, yes and most of Iowa, but not northern states.
So true. This state is so much more than I thought. I am from the Blue Ridge Mtns in VA. Then we moved west many years ago and saw the real mtns. Thanks for watching! Deana
The idea is good, but if you allow me one suggestion, you could show the inside of the places you visited. Show the cheese, say which one is good which one is not. Don't just drive by. Tell us what kind of store is the one you are filming, what can you find inside.

Do the Amish get the tourism money or someone else because the Amish do not even like their picture taken and stay on the farms.
Yes they get their money. Things have changed a great deal in this area. We don’t take their picture in front view out of respect but I don’t think they mind for the most part. There are different sects of Amish. You will not see the strict Amish too much. I have seen them at our local Walmart. Generally they are very friendly and engaging. They have earned quite a bit of income here in tourism. Thanks so much for watching.
@@TheBestofUSTheFloros I was told by certain reliable people that the Amish do not get tourism money and they only make money from tourists that wish to buy their quilts and such. And not all of the things sold in the shops are Amish made items but tourists are made to think they are.
@@carolynetter8046 Could be true. I do know here, a lot has changed with some of the Amish. There are many different types or sects of Amish. As far as them selling as amish made and being fake, I wouldn't disagree with that as well.

Any Amish that sell things or create businesses that promote tourism should be ashamed of themselves. Seems the devil's love for mammon has got to them, too. smh. Berlin didn't look Amish. It looked like "Invasion of the Outsiders". Now I'm not sure if I want to move there or not.
