It felt like both players missing effects. Saw couple of missed bt12 exvee and stingmon memory gains and a couple of missed bt12 gallant when attacking effects (at minimum)
Do you run any of the BT13 Gallantmon? I wasn’t running the EX4 Guilmon before but didn’t realize that it synergizes so well with BT12 Takato so I’ll have to add in two to actually get the warp effect without using a Guilmon in raising lol
I run 1 copy of BT13 Gallant right now. And yeah EX4 Guilmon is good. BT13 let's you bypass this too if you have any Guilmon. Even if you play it same turn, the Gallant has rush and could get blitz from Takato, so it'll still be able to attack with a freshly played Guilmon
As a Gallantmon player since the starter decks I just love BlackGrowlmon. I run 4 of it in my deck with 3 St Growlmon and 3 BT12 Growlmon. The memory gain is always nice but BlackGrowl’s searching on digivolve and deletion is just so good
Same man. I feel it does so much for the consistency of the deck. It almost makes me want to cut ST Growl and throw in the EX Growl to mill even more lol cause that's usually what helps vs ShineGrey, milling their pieces
Gallantmon player, I like the memory gain from the st growlmon but the ex4 blackgrowlmon advances your tempo much better. If only it lets you get back guilmon x antibody then it would have been perfect.
Not playing digimon cards that have the "at the end of your turn DNA digivolve" is crazy. For my deck I have 4 patamon, 4 veemon, 4 wormmon with those inherited effects.
I play both ex 4 black growl and starter deck growl. I don't play the growl X I don't like that one as much as the other 3. My line up is 4 st growl, 3 ex4 growl, and 4 bt12 growl. And I play 1 agunimon in case it comes up
@MrJsStrategyPlays also I don't know if you realized it, but the new Takato can't use blackgrowlmon. You have to use specifically "growlmon" and "wargrowlmon". So it's better to have 8 names instead of just 1
It's hard man, because I feel like the extra DP threshold comes up vs Bloomlord a lot. And I got wrecked by Bloom the previous format. Will have to take out the X cards though because Growlmon X can't digi on top of BlackGrowl
i steam rolled a bloom matchup with just crimson blaze and the deletion effects from wargrowl/gallant. i also use direct smasher from the ragnadeck. in terms of dp boost, i get it from bt12 guil and growl.@@MrJsStrategyPlays
Uh oh, I just noticed it doesn't say "digivolve: 0 from growlmon in name" like the new ones. So yes you're correct, I can't actually do that. That's going to change my LV4 line up...

This was my first tournament back in BT13 so yeah on my part it's a given. I didn't notice the LV4 memory gains though, will have to check again

Blue has modoki for memory blocker and syakomon to stop digivolution reduction.

I noticed BlackGrowl has some downsides now, but yeah you're correct, it doesn't actually let you get Guilmon X
