    What! In the Us and Europe she was told rhythms etc came from Europe and she believed it until she went to Africa! How come she, a black American believed it? I can't get my head round that. Thinking about it she may not be black that's why she believed it.

    Where were you taught that then? I have a feeling you made the title up. Nobody invented melodies or rhythm, every culture developed them independently as they so natural basic to every human.
