Perfect for me, I love my coffee really hot. Love the button on the back to allow extra hot water. Thank you for your review… I receive my new coffee machine on 7/1. ❤
Thanks for the review. The likely advantage of the Piccolo XS, apart from price, is it's simplicity, being basic there is little to go wrong. I've ordered the Genio Plus from Ebay refurbished for £40 which I hope proves to be a good deal. The marvellous thing with the DG pods is the option to get refillable pods so you can use your own freshly ground coffee or Supermarket ground coffee which is very cost effective compared to the DG branded pods which can be expensive per drink. I have some cheap chinese plastic refillable pods which work very well, you just have to ensure the hole is lined up centrally in front of the pod holder. The Lidl Gold ground coffee works well, smells and tastes great, and is just £3.99 for 500g. This is the deal maker for me compared to my old Lavzza Modo Mio Premium which due to the multiple spikes used does not allow for refillable pods.
Great review. Thanks. Bought it yesterday and wasn’t sure whether I should keep it because I like a very tall latte glass and it just about fit. Also the manual side is a huge negative.
Just about yo buy one of these for my motorhome, yes you can buy bosch for a bit more money BUT the coffees are just TOO sweet, great review thanks, ps love the red cable on these
Not when the bar isn’t uniform across time which you can’t guarantee here. With an automatic machine you can preset a ml/oz and will remain constant. Not in this case sadly. The time to get the exact amount for your preferred coffee isn’t consistent enough. But. It’s £30 so 🤷🏼♂️
have made couple coffees so far, my first ones. First latte was with too much water, wrong glass choice :D but now i get correct size mugs and in just a minute I can already enjoy my morning coffee. btw , that cleaning they show on manual at first, should I clean it before every use ?
Good one. You don’t need to clean it every time. I flushed it through every week or so (that was with 1 or 2 coffees a day) and descaled it when required (I have a video on how to do that). HTH
The biggest issue with this is how it’s turned on. You have to unplug or turn off and on at the switch. If you forget and put a pod in then it’s a pod wasted. Done it once and hope I don’t do it again
Thank you for the vid. Just bought one. Won't be using it until the morning. I like the idea of manually controlling the flow for the pods. I agree with @fawziasajid5410, the instructions are lacking which is why I researched TH-cam and watched your offering. I'm happy to learn to get along with it. You explained nicely on the dubious instructions.

I have it, I like it. I most of the time fill reusable pods with our own coffee and it does the job. 😊

Great comment. Cheers for that 👍🏻

Thanks. Yeah, I’m in the same position. The manual side to it is just enough to be a bit annoying, especially when doing other things.

Do they do creamers, to top up the drink? Like with Tassimo?
I think every coffee or chocolate lover wants to have controle over what goes in the cup. And has differend cups also.

So what is the temperature right after?

The vibration from the machine shakes my glass off and moves my machine what can i do to help with this.
Hi there. For starters it shouldn’t be that bad.
But to help I’d suggest getting it on a mat or towel to soak up the vibrations.
Some sort of rubber matting should help stop things "walking" about.
So you don't even get a full mug of hot chocolate? Id have to use 2 pods to fill my mug?
Shame isnt it
Do you know a better dolce gusto machine than this. I have a £80 budget.
I’d say this is probably the best value
For an extra fiver, you can buy the Bosch machine which looks better!
Bosch Dolce Gusto? The Piccolo is DG
