Yeah very true, but also in Japan they seem to be more closer to the idea that unless the story is clearly trying to be realistic form the start, to say ' is animation they can whatever with the desong, that why they also have unrelasitc uniforms that in real life would look like those sexy costumes you can buy. The nurse design is one of the main examples, but I think it get uncomfortable after knowing the creator manners and old fanfics. And how the teacher is not potrayed as a different kind of rival despide being a moleste, unless senpai wants that and they have a concensuate relationship and yan -chan has to discover it??? And also by my side I see it a bit weird how that feisng are done in details but all the other students are so damn lazy. Pd: also heard the nurse is underaged but not sure I don't play this thing since long ago.
I think the only way the teacher would be a rival is there's a point in the game where her mental health got so bad that she's becoming delusional so seeing him talk to the teacher has made her believe that she's a rival and she's after him. I think this would be only possible in the genocidal route.
That would be great! Especially if Akari told Himari she needed to stay away from Seiya (fuck did I spell that right?). Himari would be too out of it to see reason and would be like, "Why do I need to stay away from him? Does she want to take him away from me? Does she love him?!" Someone else mentioned a similar concept, saying that the teacher could've worked in YanSim if it were made clear that the teacher's actions are bad or if Ayano was just imagining that's what was happening
I feel like when redesigning the nurse rival could work in two ways: A, aging her down while keeping some snippets of her personality or B, keeping her the same age but tweaking her personality to not be perverted.
I like the idea of her being a training nurse, who's a similar age to Senpai, and training to be a nurse. Maybe shes doing a weeks training at the school or something

The thing with Calis characters is that they make me feel conflicted like- All the rivals are characters I want Senpai to be with *but* at the same time I feel for our new protagonist. Considering the fact that you are going for a more psychological-based game such strong feelings are extremely fitting

I feel like the teacher character could've been in the game, if it was established that is was wrong, but that isn't what Yandere Dev did. I also feel like she could've still been a rival, while also not having romantic feelings for Senpai. She could've been tutoring him, which would mean he'd spend less time with Yandere Chan and more time studying/being tutored. Maybe Yandere Chan could solve it by helping him study, too, or by getting tutored by the teacher with Senpai (I haven't watched much of the video yet, so I'm not sure if that's what storyline Callimara makes, it's just my suggestion).
Or perhaps she is senpai's aunt or relative who is quite traditional and does not want senpai to hang out/date the MC because she radiates "bad energy" or she thinks a bad influence to him. (Idk, help me think of an idea) she took care of senpai when he was young and is a mother figure to him, so senpai would hesitate, but maybe after the days go by he starts distancing himself because of this. If the MC kills her, senpai's sanity would drop a LARGE amount. if you manage to let her accept you, she would stop telling senpai to distance himself from the MC. And if you win more favour from her, she might help you to get with senpai, she will be a massive help to you if you choose this route. Another way to eliminate her is too break her trust with senpai, but this would be hard since they have a deep family bond, however, if you did manage to do it, senpai might have some trust issues that will leave it harder to get with him,... BUT, if your close enough to him, he might tell you about his problems and you have a chance to get even closer to him.
I have a hard time believing that it’s suddenly ok for a child who was half raised by a teacher, to suddenly be intimate with them once they’re an adult. It feels like an easy way to excuse grooming

@@mayyo2925 yea I have also redesigned the teacher and nurse so that the teacher is still a teacher at the school but she is senpai’s aunt and so she really want him to have a good future bc I also made his parents gone but the mom just moved/ran away from them bc she hated her kids after their dad died but they live with their aunt. And the nurse became a student she is in her last year and helps around the nurse room bc she loves helping people and so she took a liking to senpai. So no romance with the teacher but a loveable parent figure and a student who wants the be a nurse or doctor

The idea of making her a threat solely on Himari’s side instead of, well, a groomer is a really good take, specially because initially she starts looking into her background out of concern. It turns her from a monster to a great teacher that actually cares about her students (plus it goes with the aKaDeMi hIgH iS a PrEstIgiOuS sChOoL which at this point should be a meme considering how much the characters and narrative contradict that idea). Also that shading is beautiful 10/10 :DDD!!!
So basically the guy is seeing all his friends and classmates getting kiIIed. He starts failing due to his stress so he gets a tutor. She's an adult, but forms a motherly relationship with the guy. The protagonist gets angry not knowing she's innocent
too add on it yandere chan mental health is deteriorating and in her eyes and mind she thinks of his tutor as a sexual offender and she also thinks she doing the right thing by offing her off also it would make the player agree with yandere on killing her but then it would be revealed that she has a bad deteriorating mental health to the player
The fact that so much of the issues get excused with “all characters in the game are 18 and up” like that makes it better??? Like okay theyre not minors but also, they’re 18 and the “rival character” is, not only older by Several years, but also in a position of power (and yeah I know they’re a sub, but that doesn’t change how gross it is, she’s still older, and has power over the students)
Also even worse is the fact that all characters being 18+ is a lie due to the fact that this is a _high school_ setting with Yan-chan being a second year, and a majority of the characters are also second years Meaning they aren't 18 yet :/ Yikes, honestly;;

I remember following yandere simulator and eagerly awaiting every update when I was a teen back when it first got popular. It’s insane now to think how I didn’t blink an eye at the panty shots and sexual predators. Thank you for turning “Women are objects: the game” into something I’m actually interested in. I’ve followed Yandere Simulator since the first build came out and I’ve patiently been waiting for the release but I’ve never found myself interested in the story until I watch your videos! You shouldn’t leave a man like YandereDev to write and design a story that has many female characters.
Some people tend to reduce the age of Muja and Mida to make it more suitable, maybe that works for Muja, she has the basis to be a super adorable student, since at least she doesn't do inappropriate things because she wants to and genuinely wants to take care of the students.
I remember the series where muja was a friend of senpai from preschool elementary and she was an assistant nurse not a nurse which places her at 19 or twenty she just wanted to be a friend no other intentions

I didn't expect you to take her character in this direction but i really like it! Yan-chan needs a good adult in her life,glad she can finally have one. I love how you made a interesting continuos story,it legit feels like each video is a character of a book. Also tbh i think even though Seya would be shocked if you have a good relationship with him he'd definitely want to at least listen to what the girl he's grown so close to has to say to defend herself.
This "fake alias to attend school" thing feels so familiar because my mom had to attend her middle through high school as another person. It got her into some tough mental situations where sometimes at home and in college she ignored her own name because of the years of being called someone else, as well as not even being sure if she's really herself at times.
I feel so bad for that poor boy that got sexually assaulted by that teacher. That judge sucks at their job and I wish that all of the young boys and girls who got sexually harassed recover.
Its really annoying how women only get a slap on the wrist when they commit such heinous acts, meanwhile the victims either have to hide it or risk being asked really stupid and inappropriate questions like 'well was she hot?' Can you imagine people's reaction if anyone asked a female victim this? By the end of the day a victim is a victim regardless of gender. Anyway the redesign is really good and I love the concept! I can see the nurse character maybe being kind of a maternal figure to Ayano whenever something happens to her mental state, so she can go to the nurses office to cool down a bit or rest up in one of the beds when she needs to. For me personally there was always something comforting about going to the nurses office, I always felt less stressed out when I was there.
I actually LOVE the fact that she’s the concerned person who is actually worried about Himari and wants to make sure she’s okay. It has so much potential. I think something that can also work with this new dynamic is that occasionally, the teacher will call Himari away from her schemes to talk to her and get her to say how she’s feeling, or even suggest that Himari starts using a journal to document her well-being in a way she’s comfortable with. This way, not only does Himari have someone to confide in, it can actually help her mental state a little bit by venting it out into a journal that can’t out her (unless someone tried to steal it…Megami, maybe?) Overall I just really like how the teacher went from being this predator to more of a mother figure/concerned adult who just wants to make sure her students are being treated well. And the fact that depending on what you do, the teacher can turn on you just gives extra incentive to play nice and avoid being too destructive.
Having Akari as a kind of guide to the player for their mental state and well being, as a teacher, really reminds me of my Math teacher from 9th grade, she was a very nice and supportive teacher, and considering I didn't really fit in with the rest of the class, she really had a guiding role to my well being, even calling my mother to ask if I was fine, and in the end, it leads to the discovery that I was, and still am, HPI. But either way, I thanked her at the end of the school year and her answer was "Well, I just did my job!" and I just thought about the fact that not many teachers are like her, perhaps it's part of their job but I know for a fact that not every teacher fills that role. And I personally think it's exceptional to have persons like that, and the fact you are bringing this kind of helpful behavior in the "game" is amazing. I'm sorry if my comment is not really understandable, despite using Grammarly, I still have difficulties expressing myself, especially considering I'm not a native English Speaker and I'm still learning this language as best as I can. Teachers that actually pull aside students out of concern for their well being need to be a more common thing imo I was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, but only because my 3rd grade teacher noticed smth was up with me and talked to my mom about getting diagnosed, so bless her soul for letting me get the treatment I needed lol

I love the ideas you have for these characters. You would be a major upgrade to the Yandere Game as not only are your designs way more stylish (usually lady characters designed by women are always better than when they are designed by men who usually have no sense of fashion or flavor for women), but you also give these characters greater purpose and emphasize that Yan-chan isnt right in the mind so not every woman is a rival in love but can be an obstacle in another way. Such as Oka actually being a lesbian and the player killing her for no reason if they dont investigate enough would endanger the good ending. As well as the teacher not being a rival in love either but could end up exposing Yan-chan if she isnt careful with her elimination methods such as murder or expulsion as well as her general behavior. This gives the player more initiative to interact with other students, partake in club activities, and enjoying more of the school setting, kind of tricking the player/Yan-chan to enjoy more of life outside of her Senpai and become a better person. It would be interesting if there is a "secret ending" where the player still does foil the attempts of the actual love rivals but doesnt have a high enough affection with senpai. However the player has been partaking in positive actions that has been improving Yan-Chan's life outside of senpai such as school events, clubs, excelling in subjects, and making friends and improving mental well being, that Yan-Chan let's her obsession for senpai go and realizes that there is so much more good of the world outside of him. She let's senpai go his own way and she goes her own way too, going back to the mental hospital, getting appropriately discharge with the help of said rich girl she replaced at school, and lives a happy and stable life on her own.
I had the exact story idea with the teacher rival! Her implementation this way, make so much sense with the narrative you've already written. And I actually was really impressed with your lineart! It looked so clean and satisfying to me
Looking at the fanarts made me think; What if your "Oka Ruto" starts a romance with "Kizana", if you choose to befriend these two rivals? They would know each other by Seya, and get closer to each other, and if you continue to talk with the two, and help with their issues, the two of them will begin to fall in love. I think it would be interesting, and would form a cute couple! Obs: I edited because the first wasn`t so easy to understand

Oh.my.God- Your concepts of the game are just absolutely fascinating! The characters have such distinguishing designs and personalities making the story as a whole gorgeous! So, please keep it up!!
Listen hear me out the flipping open the skirt idea actually wasn't completely terrible since it would of been a unique way to give the character a way to hold multiple weapons for more challenging eliminations especially since back in the 80s japan had a big problem with gangs and delinquents using Japanese uniforms as a sign of trouble, female Japanese gang memebers would even lengthen there skirts to hide weapons and shortened there tops to look cool. HOWEVER the way he implemented this cool concept for an excuse to show an under age characters panties is disgusting (dont care if Yan dev says she's of age, he contradicted himself multiple times with Yan Chan age he a whole lie). An easy fix would be making it a layered skirt that flips open revealing another skirt that holds the weapons, but instead of using half of brain cell to fix the issue Yan Dev decided to throw a hissy fit when people disliked the idea of seeing a school age child's panties. Wow. Shocking everybody hated that. So now we probably won't be able to see this cool idea come to life.
I feel like depending on your relationship with Senpai, he’ll try convincing Akari to get off your trail (or he’ll just mind his own business if your relationship is low). If he finds out through Akari about your misdeeds I have a feeling that he’ll feel this sense of betrayal (because you lied about getting better) and many even disgust depending on how you’ve been taking down your rivals (likely even hatred if you have been killing them). I love the design and concept! I really hope this becomes a visual novel or something!
A small list of my long list of problems with the game. A: I honestly wish that there would be a smaller chest character in the game because- y'know- diversity??? B: When I first joined the Yan sim franchise when I was younger, I always found that the pantie shots were so disturbing. As a girl who is normally paranoid about my safety and privacy, I found it disturbing. C: The teacher staff I always found- not too great. The only *good* ones are the main teachers in each classroom who are wearing a white shirt with a light jacket over them, and the gym teacher. D: The easter egg where if you go to the nurse in the nurses office and type "That dude" it changes the nurses outfit to make the dress shorter and he butt grows bigger.
The that dude one is a joke tbh (and i do live for it) I don't think it's necessarily wrong to have sexy characters but the way this game handles them in general is.....bad

(For senpai figuring out your identity): In different routes will cause different reaction, example: sociopath route will cause senpai to be angry, assuming that you’re just trying to ruin the reputation of a wealthy student. Genocide route will cause senpai to flat out hate you for many reasons (one of them being that he is the reason you committed murder) and if you do pacifist then he will help you hide your identity/ or help you reveal it (to end the lie). Atleast that’s what I thought of

I’ve said this before, but again this potential game reminds me SO much of Undertale. Not in its plot, but more the potential mechanics and I love it so much. It’s more of a psychological horror game than whatever the heck the original game was going for. (I keep imagining her in a way where she gives off the same vibes as Toriel in the sense that she might be sort of like a mother figure to the protagonist, and it kinda makes me happy)
Akari Murakami? I love how she shares a surname with Haruki Murakami. Definitely a great improvement over Alex's idea. I mean I'm a thirsty Guy myself but no, even I wouldn't put that in a game. It's not professional make a product when you're only thinking of yourself as the primary audience. I'd love to play a game that has Murakami Sensei in it. Definitely a great obstacle to make it more challenging and also Real
I like this storyline and how much more you touch on the protagonist, she actually feels like one. In another redesign video I watched, they made her a rival as in like senpai would be failing his classes for a reason I don't remember now and so the teacher rival would give him private classes to improve his grades iirc and she'd take senpai away from yan-chan as in, she'd take his time(with classes) and she's also an actual teacher in this case as well. There's so many good options even for a teacher rival and way better than the p3do shit yandev came up with.
I absolutely LOVE your revamp of the character! she is a HUGE upgrade from the literal r*pist and I'm so glad you dropped that concept all together and went for a more mentor-type character. I just adore the concept and can think of many heart wrenching moments in the game where the player would be torn between reaching out to her or pushing her honest and well meaning help away in order to achieve their goal. There is just so many possibilities and compelling interactions that could come with this character and I love it. Also also, I couldn't help but think of a scenario where MC does reach out but has already caused too much hurt through out the game so the teacher with a heavy heart ends up turning her, resulting in a very heart breaking betrayal of the MC's trust they built with the teacher.
I think the 'don't push your kinks on people who can't consent to seeing it' boat sailed back at the point the decision was made to let them boot up a game essentially titled 'creator's fetish game: the game,' my dude.
So here are some ideas for future rivals: I would like if there was a rival with darker skin. Also what if there was a rival that to beat you have to join a club. If Yendere chan picks to befriend her then she will be less distracted in getting rid of the rival. yendere chan will actually enjoy the club activities and stays in the club but if she kills the rival then yendere chan will leave the club once the rival is dead
I also think it must be mentioned that regardless if students are within legal age, they're still student and haven't developed. they don't magically mature once they turn 18 and it's not talked about enough how it's still predatory to go after young adults who haven't matured in any way shape or form.

I really love the idea of the teacher and Himari forming a sort of mother-daughter like dynamic. I would really love to see the good ending involve the teacher maybe sorta bringing her some lunch and a blanket as well as a stuff animal(idc if she's too old for stuff animals).
Still watching, and I absolutely love your design I've faced a predator online and this is some sort of relief for me to remind my younger self from the research you've done that I'm not and wasn't always alone I am thankful I've recovered faster than most- god bless the people who are still getting recovered from their traumas.
That reminds me of something that happened in my health class. Although girls and boys are separated, one of the instructors that came in to talk about sexual abuse talked about something that happened in the boys classroom. They had asked they boys that if they knew a male sexual predator if they would report it. All the guys raised their hands. When the instructor changed the question to if they knew a female sexual predator, only about three guys raised their hands to say they would report it. It’s honestly heartbreaking.
When I think in a game like Yandere's, I put all on University and the clubs are the careers of everyone. Also it's more similar at your storyline than the original one, more focus on mental health... Anyway, I love your design, as always ❤️

Your art style too did help with anatomy I've always wanted a cartoonic and exaggeration type of body but for it to still look human and yours really helped me to see a close example for what I want. Hey Cali! Great work as always I honestly had no idea how you’d ever implement the teacher rival since its so problematic. But this is such a smooth solution, instead of a rival, its a watching eye that either guides you or tries to take you down But what i was thinking, is that obviously the two adult rivals need to be cut, bringing the total rivals down to 8. I think it should stay at this number, why? 1: Niko seems like such a great halfway point, since she already has a established relationship with Saaya already, and her fate would heavily impact the rest of the game And 2: the teacher at this point will have a concrete image of you. Of either a confused and troubled girl who desperatly needs a rolemodel, or a dangerous psycopath that needs to be stopped (It also saves you the trouble of having to make 2 new rivals from scratch :p) But its up to you, and i’ll support your redesigns no matter what 😄
This looks amazing! I can't wait to see how you tackle the other rivals, mainly Seiya's sister and the nurse. Actually mainly the nurse because there's SOO many thing wrong with her, mainly with her personality and position so that'll be fun to see! If it were up to me, I’d keep the teacher as a “rival” but in a different way. She wouldn’t try to date senpai but instead realize the ayano is a threat to the safety of the students, and instead of confessing on Friday, she would instead tell him the truth about Ayano, not reporting to the police, because she doesn’t have enough evidence.

Aaaahhhh I love her! I love the idea of her slowly piecing together your backstory until the reveal happens. It's such a good idea and it actually makes sense. Honestly, I'm shocked something like this isn't planned for the actual game already considering the guidance councilor already does something similar with the delinquents. I've been stalking your channel for a while and I have to say, I AM SO IMPRESSED! The redesign, the backstories, THE IMPLEMENTATIONS! This is what a psychological murder mystery is about.

I literally hated this character before but now she’s low key best girl 🥺, I think this rival or the next is the big turning point for the story, like this is how you can test your relationship with senpai. Like you can either trick him into helping or manipulate him into thinking this is okay (murder or bullying) to opening up and him telling you this isn’t okay, but that’s entirely up to the player on if they want her to get better or not. But this story is so rich I think this could be its own game, I think it would be cool either as a visual novel like doki doki or have it’s own playable murder/social scenes, or a mix of the two. Either way I’m more then happy to have more of this series in any form it takes 💖💖
Honestly I feel like we could use the fact that she is a Predator as another elimination Method, because while senpai might be 18, it said that she likes to pry on a bunch of kids, so you’d just have to get evidence and give it to the police, or the school, and bam! Senpai is safe!
I love this from a game design standpoint because it really switches up the gameplay, but at the same time is predictable if you've been keeping tabs on her from the start. Your version has a real sense of progression because of this. I also like that not all of your rivals are actually in love with Senpai, it makes the characters feel more realistic, and opens the player up to more interesting decisions. I also much appreciated your take on student teacher relationships and how you handled the topic as a learning opportunity.
I always thought that yan sim had potential and all but then I have to remember the adult rivals and I just feel soooo unconfortable as someone who had actually been in various situations where teachers or staff from school is well, hope you can tell what Im trying to say because is still something so hard for me to talk about. The point of all this is that this teacher just makes me wanna cry out of pure happiness because she actually cares, not only because himari may be doing something bad but because she IS worried about her well being. You are so talented really, thank you so much for giving us such a wholesome character and I hope that in a future you will find a way to tell your story like a comic, game, novel, etc.

Yeah very true, but also in Japan they seem to be more closer to the idea that unless the story is clearly trying to be realistic form the start, to say ' is animation they can whatever with the desong, that why they also have unrelasitc uniforms that in real life would look like those sexy costumes you can buy.
The nurse design is one of the main examples, but I think it get uncomfortable after knowing the creator manners and old fanfics. And how the teacher is not potrayed as a different kind of rival despide being a moleste, unless senpai wants that and they have a concensuate relationship and yan -chan has to discover it???

I think the only way the teacher would be a rival is there's a point in the game where her mental health got so bad that she's becoming delusional so seeing him talk to the teacher has made her believe that she's a rival and she's after him. I think this would be only possible in the genocidal route.

I feel like when redesigning the nurse rival could work in two ways: A, aging her down while keeping some snippets of her personality or B, keeping her the same age but tweaking her personality to not be perverted.

I feel like the teacher character could've been in the game, if it was established that is was wrong, but that isn't what Yandere Dev did. I also feel like she could've still been a rival, while also not having romantic feelings for Senpai. She could've been tutoring him, which would mean he'd spend less time with Yandere Chan and more time studying/being tutored. Maybe Yandere Chan could solve it by helping him study, too, or by getting tutored by the teacher with Senpai (I haven't watched much of the video yet, so I'm not sure if that's what storyline Callimara makes, it's just my suggestion).

she took care of senpai when he was young and is a mother figure to him, so senpai would hesitate, but maybe after the days go by he starts distancing himself because of this. If the MC kills her, senpai's sanity would drop a LARGE amount.
if you manage to let her accept you, she would stop telling senpai to distance himself from the MC. And if you win more favour from her, she might help you to get with senpai, she will be a massive help to you if you choose this route.
Another way to eliminate her is too break her trust with senpai, but this would be hard since they have a deep family bond, however, if you did manage to do it, senpai might have some trust issues that will leave it harder to get with him,... BUT, if your close enough to him, he might tell you about his problems and you have a chance to get even closer to him.

@@mayyo2925 yea I have also redesigned the teacher and nurse so that the teacher is still a teacher at the school but she is senpai’s aunt and so she really want him to have a good future bc I also made his parents gone but the mom just moved/ran away from them bc she hated her kids after their dad died but they live with their aunt. And the nurse became a student she is in her last year and helps around the nurse room bc she loves helping people and so she took a liking to senpai. So no romance with the teacher but a loveable parent figure and a student who wants the be a nurse or doctor

It’s insane now to think how I didn’t blink an eye at the panty shots and sexual predators. Some people tend to reduce the age of Muja and Mida to make it more suitable, maybe that works for Muja, she has the basis to be a super adorable student, since at least she doesn't do inappropriate things because she wants to and genuinely wants to take care of the students.

This "fake alias to attend school" thing feels so familiar because my mom had to attend her middle through high school as another person. It got her into some tough mental situations where sometimes at home and in college she ignored her own name because of the years of being called someone else, as well as not even being sure if she's really herself at times.
I feel so bad for that poor boy that got sexually assaulted by that teacher. That judge sucks at their job and I wish that all of the young boys and girls who got sexually harassed recover.
Its really annoying how women only get a slap on the wrist when they commit such heinous acts, meanwhile the victims either have to hide it or risk being asked really stupid and inappropriate questions like 'well was she hot?' Can you imagine people's reaction if anyone asked a female victim this? By the end of the day a victim is a victim regardless of gender.
Anyway the redesign is really good and I love the concept!
I can see the nurse character maybe being kind of a maternal figure to Ayano whenever something happens to her mental state, so she can go to the nurses office to cool down a bit or rest up in one of the beds when she needs to. For me personally there was always something comforting about going to the nurses office, I always felt less stressed out when I was there.
I actually LOVE the fact that she’s the concerned person who is actually worried about Himari and wants to make sure she’s okay. It has so much potential.
I think something that can also work with this new dynamic is that occasionally, the teacher will call Himari away from her schemes to talk to her and get her to say how she’s feeling, or even suggest that Himari starts using a journal to document her well-being in a way she’s comfortable with. This way, not only does Himari have someone to confide in, it can actually help her mental state a little bit by venting it out into a journal that can’t out her (unless someone tried to steal it…Megami, maybe?)
Overall I just really like how the teacher went from being this predator to more of a mother figure/concerned adult who just wants to make sure her students are being treated well. And the fact that depending on what you do, the teacher can turn on you just gives extra incentive to play nice and avoid being too destructive.
Having Akari as a kind of guide to the player for their mental state and well being, as a teacher, really reminds me of my Math teacher from 9th grade, she was a very nice and supportive teacher, and considering I didn't really fit in with the rest of the class, she really had a guiding role to my well being, even calling my mother to ask if I was fine, and in the end, it leads to the discovery that I was, and still am, HPI. But either way, I thanked her at the end of the school year and her answer was "Well, I just did my job!" and I just thought about the fact that not many teachers are like her, perhaps it's part of their job but I know for a fact that not every teacher fills that role. And I personally think it's exceptional to have persons like that, and the fact you are bringing this kind of helpful behavior in the "game" is amazing.

I love the ideas you have for these characters. You would be a major upgrade to the Yandere Game as not only are your designs way more stylish (usually lady characters designed by women are always better than when they are designed by men who usually have no sense of fashion or flavor for women), but you also give these characters greater purpose and emphasize that Yan-chan isnt right in the mind so not every woman is a rival in love but can be an obstacle in another way. Such as Oka actually being a lesbian and the player killing her for no reason if they dont investigate enough would endanger the good ending. As well as the teacher not being a rival in love either but could end up exposing Yan-chan if she isnt careful with her elimination methods such as murder or expulsion as well as her general behavior. This gives the player more initiative to interact with other students, partake in club activities, and enjoying more of the school setting, kind of tricking the player/Yan-chan to enjoy more of life outside of her Senpai and become a better person.
It would be interesting if there is a "secret ending" where the player still does foil the attempts of the actual love rivals but doesnt have a high enough affection with senpai. However the player has been partaking in positive actions that has been improving Yan-Chan's life outside of senpai such as school events, clubs, excelling in subjects, and making friends and improving mental well being, that Yan-Chan let's her obsession for senpai go and realizes that there is so much more good of the world outside of him. She let's senpai go his own way and she goes her own way too, going back to the mental hospital, getting appropriately discharge with the help of said rich girl she replaced at school, and lives a happy and stable life on her own.

I had the exact story idea with the teacher rival! Her implementation this way, make so much sense with the narrative you've already written. And I actually was really impressed with your lineart! It looked so clean and satisfying to me
Looking at the fanarts made me think; What if your "Oka Ruto" starts a romance with "Kizana", if you choose to befriend these two rivals? They would know each other by Seya, and get closer to each other, and if you continue to talk with the two, and help with their issues, the two of them will begin to fall in love. I think it would be interesting, and would form a cute couple!

Listen hear me out the flipping open the skirt idea actually wasn't completely terrible since it would of been a unique way to give the character a way to hold multiple weapons for more challenging eliminations especially since back in the 80s japan had a big problem with gangs and delinquents using Japanese uniforms as a sign of trouble, female Japanese gang memebers would even lengthen there skirts to hide weapons and shortened there tops to look cool. HOWEVER the way he implemented this cool concept for an excuse to show an under age characters panties is disgusting (dont care if Yan dev says she's of age, he contradicted himself multiple times with Yan Chan age he a whole lie). An easy fix would be making it a layered skirt that flips open revealing another skirt that holds the weapons, but instead of using half of brain cell to fix the issue Yan Dev decided to throw a hissy fit when people disliked the idea of seeing a school age child's panties. Wow. Shocking everybody hated that. So now we probably won't be able to see this cool idea come to life.

I feel like depending on your relationship with Senpai, he’ll try convincing Akari to get off your trail (or he’ll just mind his own business if your relationship is low). If he finds out through Akari about your misdeeds I have a feeling that he’ll feel this sense of betrayal (because you lied about getting better) and many even disgust depending on how you’ve been taking down your rivals (likely even hatred if you have been killing them).
I love the design and concept! I really hope this becomes a visual novel or something!
A small list of my long list of problems with the game.
A: I honestly wish that there would be a smaller chest character in the game because- y'know- diversity???
B: When I first joined the Yan sim franchise when I was younger, I always found that the pantie shots were so disturbing. As a girl who is normally paranoid about my safety and privacy, I found it disturbing.
C: The teacher staff I always found- not too great. The only *good* ones are the main teachers in each classroom who are wearing a white shirt with a light jacket over them, and the gym teacher.
D: The easter egg where if you go to the nurse in the nurses office and type "That dude" it changes the nurses outfit to make the dress shorter and he butt grows bigger.
The that dude one is a joke tbh (and i do live for it)
I don't think it's necessarily wrong to have sexy characters but the way this game handles them in general is.....bad

(For senpai figuring out your identity): In different routes will cause different reaction, example: sociopath route will cause senpai to be angry, assuming that you’re just trying to ruin the reputation of a wealthy student. Genocide route will cause senpai to flat out hate you for many reasons (one of them being that he is the reason you committed murder) and if you do pacifist then he will help you hide your identity/ or help you reveal it (to end the lie). Atleast that’s what I thought of

I’ve said this before, but again this potential game reminds me SO much of Undertale.
Not in its plot, but more the potential mechanics and I love it so much. It’s more of a psychological horror game than whatever the heck the original game was going for. (I keep imagining her in a way where she gives off the same vibes as Toriel in the sense that she might be sort of like a mother figure to the protagonist, and it kinda makes me happy)

I like this storyline and how much more you touch on the protagonist, she actually feels like one. In another redesign video I watched, they made her a rival as in like senpai would be failing his classes for a reason I don't remember now and so the teacher rival would give him private classes to improve his grades iirc and she'd take senpai away from yan-chan as in, she'd take his time(with classes) and she's also an actual teacher in this case as well. There's so many good options even for a teacher rival and way better than the p3do shit yandev came up with.

she is a HUGE upgrade from the literal r*pist and I'm so glad you dropped that concept all together and went for a more mentor-type character. I just adore the concept and can think of many heart wrenching moments in the game where the player would be torn between reaching out to her or pushing her honest and well meaning help away in order to achieve their goal. There is just so many possibilities and compelling interactions that could come with this character and I love it.
Also also, I couldn't help but think of a scenario where MC does reach out but has already caused too much hurt through out the game so the teacher with a heavy heart ends up turning her, resulting in a very heart breaking betrayal of the MC's trust they built with the teacher.
I think the 'don't push your kinks on people who can't consent to seeing it' boat sailed back at the point the decision was made to let them boot up a game essentially titled 'creator's fetish game: the game,' my dude.
I think it should be titled "YandereDev's Fetish: The Game" because its weird to repeat game twice in a row.
So here are some ideas for future rivals: I would like if there was a rival with darker skin. Also what if there was a rival that to beat you have to join a club. If Yendere chan picks to befriend her then she will be less distracted in getting rid of the rival. yendere chan will actually enjoy the club activities and stays in the club but if she kills the rival then yendere chan will leave the club once the rival is dead

I also think it must be mentioned that regardless if students are within legal age, they're still student and haven't developed. they don't magically mature once they turn 18 and it's not talked about enough how it's still predatory to go after young adults who haven't matured in any way shape or form.

That reminds me of something that happened in my health class. Although girls and boys are separated, one of the instructors that came in to talk about sexual abuse talked about something that happened in the boys classroom. They had asked they boys that if they knew a male sexual predator if they would report it. All the guys raised their hands. When the instructor changed the question to if they knew a female sexual predator, only about three guys raised their hands to say they would report it. It’s honestly heartbreaking.
When I think in a game like Yandere's, I put all on University and the clubs are the careers of everyone. Also it's more similar at your storyline than the original one, more focus on mental health... Anyway, I love your design, as always ❤️

Your redesign videos have inspired my oc designs greatly, since I started watching you they got way more unique . Your art style too did help with anatomy I've always wanted a cartoonic and exaggeration type of body but for it to still look human and yours really helped me to see a close example for what I want. haven’t watched the entire video yet, but if the teacher _was_ a predator, then maybe the bad ending of not eliminating her would be senpai not wanting to go to school again. and maybe eliminating her by trying to get her arrested could be the “good” ending of this week, but killing her would still be bad (since you’re kinda going down to her level) and maybe this could teach himari about healthy relationships and how maybe she shouldn’t be as obsessive? idk it’s just a quick thought I had.

I honestly had no idea how you’d ever implement the teacher rival since its so problematic. But this is such a smooth solution, instead of a rival, its a watching eye that either guides you or tries to take you down
But what i was thinking, is that obviously the two adult rivals need to be cut, bringing the total rivals down to 8. I think it should stay at this number, why?
1: Niko seems like such a great halfway point, since she already has a established relationship with Saaya already, and her fate would heavily impact the rest of the game
And 2: the teacher at this point will have a concrete image of you. Of either a confused and troubled girl who desperatly needs a rolemodel, or a dangerous psycopath that needs to be stopped
(It also saves you the trouble of having to make 2 new rivals from scratch :p)
But its up to you, and i’ll support your redesigns no matter what 😄
This looks amazing! I can't wait to see how you tackle the other rivals, mainly Seiya's sister and the nurse. Actually mainly the nurse because there's SOO many thing wrong with her, mainly with her personality and position so that'll be fun to see! And thank you for making Ms. Murakami look and feel like an actual teacher.
If it were up to me, I’d keep the teacher as a “rival” but in a different way. She wouldn’t try to date senpai but instead realize the ayano is a threat to the safety of the students, and instead of confessing on Friday, she would instead tell him the truth about Ayano, not reporting to the police, because she doesn’t have enough evidence.
The double standard that women are incapable of sexual violence is horrific. When you mentioned that "satisfying his sexual urges" thing, I was about ready to crack my screen. That was traumatizing for this poor guy and they’re acting as if he "enjoyed it" because "every guy loves a woman‘s affection, even forceful". Disgusting.

Aaaahhhh I love her! I love the idea of her slowly piecing together your backstory until the reveal happens. It's such a good idea and it actually makes sense. Honestly, I'm shocked something like this isn't planned for the actual game already considering the guidance councilor already does something similar with the delinquents. It's weird that she wouldn't consider doing the same for someone who keeps getting sent to her office.

I literally hated this character before but now she’s low key best girl 🥺, I think this rival or the next is the big turning point for the story, like this is how you can test your relationship with senpai. Like you can either trick him into helping or manipulate him into thinking this is okay (murder or bullying) to opening up and him telling you this isn’t okay, but that’s entirely up to the player on if they want her to get better or not. But this story is so rich I think this could be its own game, I think it would be cool either as a visual novel like doki doki or have it’s own playable murder/social scenes, or a mix of the two. Either way I’m more then happy to have more of this series in any form it takes 💖💖
Honestly I feel like we could use the fact that she is a Predator as another elimination Method, because while senpai might be 18, it said that she likes to pry on a bunch of kids, so you’d just have to get evidence and give it to the police, or the school, and bam! Senpai is safe!

I love this from a game design standpoint because it really switches up the gameplay, but at the same time is predictable if you've been keeping tabs on her from the start. Your version has a real sense of progression because of this. I also like that not all of your rivals are actually in love with Senpai, it makes the characters feel more realistic, and opens the player up to more interesting decisions.
I also much appreciated your take on student teacher relationships and how you handled the topic as a learning opportunity.
I always thought that yan sim had potential and all but then I have to remember the adult rivals and I just feel soooo unconfortable as someone who had actually been in various situations where teachers or staff from school is well, hope you can tell what Im trying to say because is still something so hard for me to talk about. The point of all this is that this teacher just makes me wanna cry out of pure happiness because she actually cares, not only because himari may be doing something bad but because she IS worried about her well being. You are so talented really, thank you so much for giving us such a wholesome character and I hope that in a future you will find a way to tell your story like a comic, game, novel, etc.
