I really love this redesign, I'm not even done watching but the art style and care you took to searching up and individualizing really makes it beautiful! I love it! I feel like when redesigning you are to change some aspects of the character but not things that would make them unrecognizable or just not making sense Ex: drawing Annabeth Chase with brown hair (OH NO THE MOVIES) or Making Piper Mclean white. I think you did the redesigning well! Besides my bias towards how good your art is, you're able to tell that these are still the Gyarus from Yandere simulator and the redesign enhanced their fashion senses instead of taken it away
I like to think that instead of bullies they’re all just boy crazy and the Yandere hates that and makes them out to be worse things in existence. When they’re just chill flirty girls.

I resonate so much with what you’re saying. I personally know very little about Japanese fashion, but it’s always weird and uncomfortable to me when the most visually extravagant characters are portrayed as bullies or just generally untrustworthy. It’s kind of how punks are the go-to bully design in western media, which is absolute bullshit; I’ve literally never met a punk who hasn’t been a lovely person. It’s just what goes for people who embrace individuality in an environment that seeks to control them by policing their appearance, I guess
My mum is a punk and I'm a goth and I'll tell you one thing, there's so much unnecessary hate towards us, my mum is constantly being shouted at across the street and me and my alt partner are constantly getting catcalled and belittled because we have a different style to the 'normal'. It's so unfair.
You should watch Rita, it's a Danish Netflix show, and in a scene they're showing the punk girls, but the old professor told the new one that she should be scared of the more "normal" ones, and they looked like a stock photo teenager

I think I like the idea that instead of them really being "bullies" towards the main character, they're more just highly suspicious and untrusting of her. If they're all cell phone addicts, they could have seen some thing sketchy social media about the yandere or some anonymous creepy posts focusing on the love interest character that they have reason to suspect the main character of. So they don't bully her per se, but they're definitely keeping an eye on her
I think the best would be to remove the whole occult club from the game, or maybe put it somewhere hidden because I'm sure that summoning demons at school would not be allowed.
Honestly, it'd be more interesting if they had the reputations for being rebellious and loud and rude but were instead helpful, nice, genuine people. I mean Oshiete! Galko-chan really showed us the subversion of our expectations and I really like the idea. Idk, just a thought. 😗
Yeah! and then we would have the modest, quiet and polite ones as the ones who bully the loud rebellious ones, we could also bring up the topic of close minded, conforming sheep who seek approval from others. Wouldnt that be kinda refreshing.
Fun fact: Kashiko's, Hana's, Kokoro's, and Hoshiko's names follow a scheme where it's based off their main color and something else that's a part of their outfit I think. Kashiko's name means purple candy, Hana's name means orange flower, Kokoro's name means pink heart, and Hoshiko's name means green star. (If I got any information wrong please tell me in the comments and I'll fix it)
You forgot to say that their full names actually mean the stuff. Not only their first or last names. Like "Kokoro Momoiro" for example. Kokoro literally means heart, momoiro means pink. Also, the thing is, their names aren't really names that people in Japan give their kids. From what I know, people don't give kids simple first names as "flower" or "heart" over there. The names are more complex and mean stuff like "happy light" or "flower of love" (I'm kinda guessing stuff, cause Idk Japanese). So their names are too simple, I think. Edit: that is a long comment, I know. And I'm aware these are video game characters and it's not that deep (Like Midori's full name literally means "Green Green" lmao), but I like when games are realistic in these terms, idk🤷

I love the way you drew these gals. You did really well having them stand out and be different, but also similar. I feel like their personality really shines through as well. I can imagine these girls being best friends since elementary school and each of them falling in love with their own individual style, having that be the thing to help them remain friends as they grew older, rather than drifting apart when they matured and interests began to differ. I can see the green one sticking out the most showing how that while she's not as into the sparkles and hair bows, she's the girl who stands up for the others immediately. The purple one would definitely be the one to openly disagree with the teachers about the dress code on behalf of herself and her friends, something like "Well nothing in the school rules says we can't accessorize the way we want! We ARE still wearing the uniform!" The yellow one would definitely be the one who lets the others know about the main drama happening around the school and in celebrity news, I also feel she'd be most attached to her phone. Ya know, the one who texts her friend from the other room instead of calling out. The pink one is definitely the girl who'd gush over their crushes, whether that be a celebrity crush or the guy on campus that a particular girl was crushing on. She'd also be the one who would always be trying to set her friends up with someone. And finally, the blue one is the shopaholic. She's the one who has all the fashion magazines and she's the one who came up with the idea of them all getting the matching sparkle phone cases. Probably wanted them all to be the same color, but agreed on them each getting one in their favorite color.
Well kokoro (pink one) would not suit up her personality you said Kokoro unlike the other girls,dosent want to be in the bully group. Its becouse in the past she was a victim of bullying. To prevent this happening again,she immeaditly joined the bullies becouse she didint want to be a victim again. So ya the artist suited her style perfectly with her personality a nice and cute girl unlike the other girls. Even with the green one (hoshiko) who is the most violent out of all of them becouse she looks edgy like she actually is.

@@bored7341 ooooh, weird 1st starter anime.... hm, idk if its considered weird but my first anime ever was the 80s devilman OVA because my dad had a copy of the birth on VHS. i also watched a lot of classic anime movies starting out like ghost in the shell, akira, kikis delivery service (older ghibli in general), ninja scroll, and the cowboy bebop movie.
I would love to see an anime about gyarus who are friends with each other, or starting out with one then finding the others, and each of them have different gyaru styles. It's also a slice of life like Nana where the girls all learn to become who they are, experience different kinds of love (not just romantic), how their families see them, and so on.

I think that you are right that most people who do Yandere-Sim redesigns, myself included, don't respect Yan-Dev. But given how long the game has taken to get to the Demo stage (6 years and it isn't even fully functional) and given how many people have fallen out of love with this game, grown up and grown into a more mature world view, it's no wonder that people would want to take something they once cared for and were interested in, and want to improve it. And an interest in a property verses respect for the creator/founder are mutually exclusive. You can have interest in the game and dislike or outright hate Yan-Dev. Besides that, I think your redesigns are cute and well informed for what the characters are supposed to be, which is one of the thinks I dislike about the game. You designed a cohesive group which both fit together as a unit and are individuals at the same time (something the game can't seem to figure out). And I think that the Light Music Club would be a good candidate for a redesign, given your pension for bright colours and over the top aesthetics. Or, if you're looking for a challenge, the Science or Art Clubs. Or even better, the Occult club, given that they all look the same and are some of the oldest 'unique' models in the game, and given that you have already redesigned Oka.
The first paragraph is legit me I dont care for yan dev but im still in love with his game and whenever i watch yandere simulator videos i always think of things to add to the game. Its a shame yan dev strongly dislike his fans suggestions because there are so many improvements ive thought off I also really like the occult re-design idea because their designs are a bit "basic" and everyone looks related, Ive always wanted to see them in a different aspect and it feel like dreamy p would deffo make them look great especially because of her artstyle I honestly love how you worded your explanation its really relatable and clear💚

@@air8223 i remember the reason taro's sister is a rival is not because of romantic attraction (we're not sUPPORTING INCEST HERE) but because of her canon, clingy little sister type. like how you'd think an older brother would be protective of a little sister and doesn't want her to have a boyfriend is the same for hanako (taro's sister) because if he were to have a girlfriend, she'd get less attention and less time with him, which she doesn't want.
An idea that I always thought might have been interesting is to have senpai develop an unrequited crush. The teacher wouldn’t be interested in him at all, but he develops feelings for her. Or, because yanderes are meant to not be really good with accepting reality, is that Ayano perceives the teacher as a rival without her actually being one. Which would work well for a lot of rivals. It’s okay to start off with some romantic rivals but wouldn’t it be interesting to watch Ayano’s psyche devolve as she starts seeing rivals anywhere, especially where they don’t exist? It’d be like playing from the perspective of an unreliable narrator. Of course, that would require complex thinking and designing multiple characters as three dimensional and that’s hard work.
Instead of them being bullies, I imagine these redesigns being really sweet and REALLY fun to hang out with. ...actually now that I think about it, these look like the type of girls who would be the protagonists of an anime

I love them! I can totally see them hanging out and taking selfies together. I do feel like Mizudori (green) may be the twin sister of one of the delinquents. So both groups may not mix but respect each other(?
New headcanon: If anyone tries to harass the Gyarus and the teachers don’t step in, the Delinquents certainly will. And while the Delinquents may not particularly care if their reputation takes a hit, well, it’s always nice to have an adorable, non-suspicious looking set of eyes, ears, and a phone camera The Unlikely Allies is one of my favorite tropes lol

Can I just say that I LOVE how they don’t just look like pale Asian girls in blackface? That’s an issue tons of people just kinda.... gloss over, especially with more extreme ganguro looks in which girls literally smeared black facepaint all over and called it a day. (Not cool, Japan. Not cool) Like. Pink is dark-skinned, the others got a natural tan, and I feel like blue went overboard with tan spray (look at how earnest she looks! And it’s not a practiced selfie smile either, she looks so excited) and her friends would snigger about it and go like “no worries, we can still make this look work!” and help her with her makeup. You can get a feel for the friend group dynamic just by looking at them.

Blonde hair and a tan is a stereotype for them being rich, manipulative, and fake. Examples of this trope is most commonly found in high school dramas and musicals (Mean girls, Heathers, High school musical). In all of these the main antagonist is a rich, blonde, manipulative girl who first seems nice to the protagonist (well for Heathers, Heather C is already known as a b*tch and only becomes Veronica’s “friend” after V helps her out of trouble). It's so cool seeing people's own reimagining of the characters! I really like how you made one of the gyaru's dark skin. Especially in modern japan there are a lot of mixed asians in Japan. So seeing a blasian in yandere simulator would have been interesting!
I feel like if any character in the game should be a little bit thiccer, and have a little bit more stomach, it would be Amai Odayaka, the cooking rival, and I think this is because she bakes, and a lot of people who bake, will taste test their food, before giving it to the public or whatever, but I just think it makes more sense so yea... 👉👈💛 Edit:Low-key this is the most amount of likes I've ever gotten on a comment, ever, but also, if I don't reply to your comment, just know I've most definitely liked it, cuz like all of you are so kind! I think the Gyarus would work a lot better as "gossip girls" rather than bullies. As well as the reasons you mentioned about Gyarus (which I didn't actually know about before you mentioned it) there's also the gameplay aspect of them not bothering Ayano unless she has the lowest reputation (which you can easily raise with a few compliments). As gossip girls though they could actively go looking for scandals/drama which could make it a lot harder for Ayano to do bad things (and as bad things start happening more they could become more of an obstacle).
I would totally love to see you do this with all the clubs that are literally just duplicates of each other or way too similar. Like the occult club. All of them have blue hair and something covering their left eye and if it was realistic the characters should be looking like siblings. Maybe do clubs like them? Drama club is the same
I understand the similarities to make sure that the designs look homogenous and when the clubs disband, they lose that homogenization... but I understand the issues. The cooking club however... they kinda look less homogenous but together?

This is amazing, i love how they look, specially the pink girl (i don't remember her name). The uniforms are too cute. I would love to see Mai Waifu or Megami in your style, but i'm looking forward to any character because your art is amazing🌸
Dreamy: I think it's funny the characters test their luck with the school uniform Me: Oh you haven't even seen my school Like I'm not joking the most standard bit of uniform for girl that everyone wear in my school is just the button up shirt and tie. Every thing else is different depending on the person like here's a list - Fur Jackets - Different coloured and patterned long knitted cardigans - Different coloured and patterned knitted sweaters - Cropped sweaters - Blue denim jacket - Black denim jacket - Camo Denim jacket - The occasional (but quite rare) skater skirt - Black pencil skirt - Grey pencil skirt - Black Jeans - Other kinds of black trousers as well Either way the girls in my school have a tendency to wear short pencil skirt like short enough you can see their butt. Like expression of style is good but one this is school and two I don't want to be able to see up your skirt when I'm behind you when we're walking up the stairs.
We don't even have uniforms in my country. The closest thing to a uniform we got was a denim vest (which was ugly af btw) in primary school, which we wore on top of our normal clothes lol. I remember in middle school, one of the high school students (we had a joined building for both schools) wore shorts that covered half of her butt. And it was normal, none of the teachers even said anything about it🤷

In my school our uniform was so strict that they wouldn't let us wear our winter jumpers unless it was November - January and only if they were under our blazers at all times. If your shirt was untucked, socks the wrong colour, skirt too short, dress shirt unbuttoned or blazer missing you were stopped by a teacher, ridiculed in front of everyone, given a detention and sent to the head office to get your uniform corrected
Suggestions: Hanako: You could make her a child (an actual child) who came to her brother's school for some kind of festival like "family day" and tries to avoid any girls For her to stay with her brother's attention and affection Amai: I don't think there's anything wrong with her role in the game, But you could make her a little chubby and cute Mizana (i think her name is like this): you could age her down just like you did to muja, and make her like the teacher's pet or the teacher's helper
even with all the bad stuff with yandere dev i think these designs are so good Kokoros design really brings out her being bullied by the others and then changing to fit in with them even tho she feels bad about bullying and Mizudori being the tough is very accurate because she is the one who goes over bored with bullying and gets physical with bullying with threats

Students in Japan can wear like pantyhose, overknee socks, colorful socks, hair decorations, bags, and sometimes cardigans. It's not that strict when it comes to things that are not actual parts of the uniforms.
I can imagine the group helping each other try different styles . Like on the weekend they all go for the cutesy style and then try out the tough style

Like I think the guy that lusts after them looks like the type to sexualy harass them and then question why they don't like him. First of all, let me say that I'm so appreciative of the fact that you explained the definition of Gyaru. I knew that ganguro was a 90's term, but I didn't know a better way of explaining it. So thank you. I love the gyarus official designs, but I love your redesigns even more. So don't let others drag you down about changing the skins; you made each of the gyaru's even more unique!

I love the change of skin tone! I think we need more POC representation and I think you're designs were beautiful! The skin tones don't take away from the redesign. Honestly I believe YanSim needs more people of color as there is little diversity in the game. It feels like people forget there are Japanese people of color. Love the Danganronpa vibes and I got Junko feelings from some of the designs!! Keep these coming I love watching!
This video actually opened my eye to a new style I never knew about, I've been researching gyaru after this and I'm in love with it! Gyaru is one of my favourite styles I've seen 😂

If we were to stay with the concept of these girls being bullies (or even just going off of the fact that gyarus are supposedly really bombastic and aggressive anyway), I kinda like the concept of Kokoro being in the group for the sole fact that she enjoys gyaru subculture, but she's a lot nicer than the others and doesn't usually actively participate in bullying anybody. I say this mainly because I saw a comment about Oka being friends with one of these girls, and I enjoy the concept of her being friends with your redesigned Kokoro specifically. Their characters contradict with each other in a way that I think would be really cute to see play off of one another, and I'm imagining a whole side story revolving around their secret friendship. Like maybe they used to be childhood friends, but the current crowd Kokoro runs with are slowly separating them, or Kokoro saw entirely different people bullying Oka one day and orchestrates plans for the rest of her gyaru friends to torment the people bullying Oka, which eventually leads to her and Kokoro secretly hanging out after Oka figures out what's going on and goes to thank her. I also think their friendship could probably make more sense given the fact that they're darker skinned than most of the people around them and maybe that used to be a thing that got them both made fun of when they were younger.
Ok, Please tell me Galko chan is an amazing anime. It's a really short series (7-10 ep) each about 10-15 min long. For a bit more mature audiences. It breaks the stereotypes of normal anime stereotypes ex: galko looks very gyaru but at heart she's a super sweet and helpful girl who cares about those around her.
The orange and the pink ones remind me so much of Junko Enoshima. I have absolutely no idea why, she just comes to my mind when I see those two redesigns.
I think the style of gyaru you chose for Hoshiko really suits her because in her character description it says she’s quite violent like she would go to the point of burning her victims with cigarette butts

I resonate so much with what you’re saying. I personally know very little about Japanese fashion, but it’s always weird and uncomfortable to me when the most visually extravagant characters are portrayed as bullies or just generally untrustworthy. It’s kind of how punks are the go-to bully design in western media, which is absolute bullshit; I’ve literally never met a punk who hasn’t been a lovely person. It’s just what goes for people who embrace individuality in an environment that seeks to control them by policing their appearance, I guess

My mum is a punk and I'm a goth and I'll tell you one thing, there's so much unnecessary hate towards us, my mum is constantly being shouted at across the street and me and my alt partner are constantly getting catcalled and belittled because we have a different style to the 'normal'. You should watch Rita, it's a Danish Netflix show, and in a scene they're showing the punk girls, but the old professor told the new one that she should be scared of the more "normal" ones, and they looked like a stock photo teenager

I think I like the idea that instead of them really being "bullies" towards the main character, they're more just highly suspicious and untrusting of her. If they're all cell phone addicts, they could have seen some thing sketchy social media about the yandere or some anonymous creepy posts focusing on the love interest character that they have reason to suspect the main character of. So they don't bully her per se, but they're definitely keeping an eye on her

Fun fact: Kashiko's, Hana's, Kokoro's, and Hoshiko's names follow a scheme where it's based off their main color and something else that's a part of their outfit I think. Kashiko's name means purple candy, Hana's name means orange flower, Kokoro's name means pink heart, and Hoshiko's name means green star. (If I got any information wrong please tell me in the comments and I'll fix it)

You forgot to say that their full names actually mean the stuff. Not only their first or last names. Like "Kokoro Momoiro" for example. Kokoro literally means heart, momoiro means pink.
Also, the thing is, their names aren't really names that people in Japan give their kids. From what I know, people don't give kids simple first names as "flower" or "heart" over there. The names are more complex and mean stuff like "happy light" or "flower of love" (I'm kinda guessing stuff, cause Idk Japanese). So their names are too simple, I think.
Edit: that is a long comment, I know. And I'm aware these are video game characters and it's not that deep (Like Midori's full name literally means "Green Green" lmao), but I like when games are realistic in these terms, idk🤷

I love the way you drew these gals. You did really well having them stand out and be different, but also similar. I feel like their personality really shines through as well.
I can imagine these girls being best friends since elementary school and each of them falling in love with their own individual style, having that be the thing to help them remain friends as they grew older, rather than drifting apart when they matured and interests began to differ. I can see the green one sticking out the most showing how that while she's not as into the sparkles and hair bows, she's the girl who stands up for the others immediately. The purple one would definitely be the one to openly disagree with the teachers about the dress code on behalf of herself and her friends, something like "Well nothing in the school rules says we can't accessorize the way we want! We ARE still wearing the uniform!" The yellow one would definitely be the one who lets the others know about the main drama happening around the school and in celebrity news, I also feel she'd be most attached to her phone. Ya know, the one who texts her friend from the other room instead of calling out. The pink one is definitely the girl who'd gush over their crushes, whether that be a celebrity crush or the guy on campus that a particular girl was crushing on. She'd also be the one who would always be trying to set her friends up with someone. And finally, the blue one is the shopaholic. She's the one who has all the fashion magazines and she's the one who came up with the idea of them all getting the matching sparkle phone cases. Probably wanted them all to be the same color, but agreed on them each getting one in their favorite color.

I would love to see an anime about gyarus who are friends with each other, or starting out with one then finding the others, and each of them have different gyaru styles.
It's also a slice of life like Nana where the girls all learn to become who they are, experience different kinds of love (not just romantic), how their families see them, and so on.

I think that you are right that most people who do Yandere-Sim redesigns, myself included, don't respect Yan-Dev. But given how long the game has taken to get to the Demo stage (6 years and it isn't even fully functional) and given how many people have fallen out of love with this game, grown up and grown into a more mature world view, it's no wonder that people would want to take something they once cared for and were interested in, and want to improve it.
And an interest in a property verses respect for the creator/founder are mutually exclusive. You can have interest in the game and dislike or outright hate Yan-Dev.
Besides that, I think your redesigns are cute and well informed for what the characters are supposed to be, which is one of the thinks I dislike about the game. You designed a cohesive group which both fit together as a unit and are individuals at the same time (something the game can't seem to figure out).
And I think that the Light Music Club would be a good candidate for a redesign, given your pension for bright colours and over the top aesthetics.
Or, if you're looking for a challenge, the Science or Art Clubs.
Or even better, the Occult club, given that they all look the same and are some of the oldest 'unique' models in the game, and given that you have already redesigned Oka.

@@air8223 i remember the reason taro's sister is a rival is not because of romantic attraction (we're not sUPPORTING INCEST HERE) but because of her canon, clingy little sister type. like how you'd think an older brother would be protective of a little sister and doesn't want her to have a boyfriend is the same for hanako (taro's sister) because if he were to have a girlfriend, she'd get less attention and less time with him, which she doesn't want.
An idea that I always thought might have been interesting is to have senpai develop an unrequited crush. The teacher wouldn’t be interested in him at all, but he develops feelings for her. Or, because yanderes are meant to not be really good with accepting reality, is that Ayano perceives the teacher as a rival without her actually being one. Which would work well for a lot of rivals. It’s okay to start off with some romantic rivals but wouldn’t it be interesting to watch Ayano’s psyche devolve as she starts seeing rivals anywhere, especially where they don’t exist? It’d be like playing from the perspective of an unreliable narrator.
Of course, that would require complex thinking and designing multiple characters as three dimensional and that’s hard work.
Instead of them being bullies, I imagine these redesigns being really sweet and REALLY fun to hang out with.
...actually now that I think about it, these look like the type of girls who would be the protagonists of an anime

Can I just say that I LOVE how they don’t just look like pale Asian girls in blackface? That’s an issue tons of people just kinda.... gloss over, especially with more extreme ganguro looks in which girls literally smeared black facepaint all over and called it a day. (Not cool, Japan. Not cool)
Like. Pink is dark-skinned, the others got a natural tan, and I feel like blue went overboard with tan spray (look at how earnest she looks! And it’s not a practiced selfie smile either, she looks so excited) and her friends would snigger about it and go like “no worries, we can still make this look work!” and help her with her makeup. You can get a feel for the friend group dynamic just by looking at them.

Blonde hair and a tan is a stereotype for them being rich, manipulative, and fake.
Examples of this trope is most commonly found in high school dramas and musicals (Mean girls, Heathers, High school musical). In all of these the main antagonist is a rich, blonde, manipulative girl who first seems nice to the protagonist (well for Heathers, Heather C is already known as a b*tch and only becomes Veronica’s “friend” after V helps her out of trouble).

I feel like if any character in the game should be a little bit thiccer, and have a little bit more stomach, it would be Amai Odayaka, the cooking rival, and I think this is because she bakes, and a lot of people who bake, will taste test their food, before giving it to the public or whatever, but I just think it makes more sense so yea... 👉👈💛

I think the Gyarus would work a lot better as "gossip girls" rather than bullies. As well as the reasons you mentioned about Gyarus (which I didn't actually know about before you mentioned it) there's also the gameplay aspect of them not bothering Ayano unless she has the lowest reputation (which you can easily raise with a few compliments). As gossip girls though they could actively go looking for scandals/drama which could make it a lot harder for Ayano to do bad things (and as bad things start happening more they could become more of an obstacle).
I would totally love to see you do this with all the clubs that are literally just duplicates of each other or way too similar. Like the occult club. All of them have blue hair and something covering their left eye and if it was realistic the characters should be looking like siblings. Maybe do clubs like them? Drama club is the same
I understand the similarities to make sure that the designs look homogenous and when the clubs disband, they lose that homogenization... but I understand the issues. The cooking club however... they kinda look less homogenous but together?

I love how you made all their designs so unique they're so pretty and honestly I resonate with your point and confusion why people were mad about changing skin tones. Your Oka was the cutest thing ever and if you were to make a chubby character I'd love to see your take on Amai! She's always meant to be seen as kind and sweet and an almost rounder figure/rounder shapes used in her designs would reflect that so well!!

Like I'm not joking the most standard bit of uniform for girl that everyone wear in my school is just the button up shirt and tie. Every thing else is different depending on the person like here's a list
- Fur Jackets
- Different coloured and patterned long knitted cardigans
- Different coloured and patterned knitted sweaters
- Cropped sweaters
- Blue denim jacket
- Black denim jacket
- Camo Denim jacket
- The occasional (but quite rare) skater skirt
- Black pencil skirt
- Grey pencil skirt
- Black Jeans
- Other kinds of black trousers as well
Either way the girls in my school have a tendency to wear short pencil skirt like short enough you can see their butt. Like expression of style is good but one this is school and two I don't want to be able to see up your skirt when I'm behind you when we're walking up the stairs.
We don't even have uniforms in my country. The closest thing to a uniform we got was a denim vest (which was ugly af btw) in primary school, which we wore on top of our normal clothes lol.
I remember in middle school, one of the high school students (we had a joined building for both schools) wore shorts that covered half of her butt. And it was normal, none of the teachers even said anything about it🤷

In my school we have a full uniform and if any of it isn’t “correct” you get screamed at by a teacher 😀
In my school our uniform was so strict that they wouldn't let us wear our winter jumpers unless it was November - January and only if they were under our blazers at all times. If your shirt was untucked, socks the wrong colour, skirt too short, dress shirt unbuttoned or blazer missing you were stopped by a teacher, ridiculed in front of everyone, given a detention and sent to the head office to get your uniform corrected

even with all the bad stuff with yandere dev i think these designs are so good Kokoros design really brings out her being bullied by the others and then changing to fit in with them even tho she feels bad about bullying and Mizudori being the tough is very accurate because she is the one who goes over bored with bullying and gets physical with bullying with threats

Man, this school does not restrict dress code a lot.
Students in Japan can wear like pantyhose, overknee socks, colorful socks, hair decorations, bags, and sometimes cardigans. It's not that strict when it comes to things that are not actual parts of the uniforms.
They have so much more personality now!

Oh! The bullying could be more of a 'you disrespected my friend and I don't condone that'. Like I think the guy that lusts after them looks like the type to sexualy harass them and then question why they don't like him. You know that uncommon type of people that get bullyed to a certain extent because they are a shitty person? The ones that you feel sorry because other people make fun of them but then you hear them talk and it's like Oh, so that's why people don't like you. Yeah, that, so their 'bullying' is more of a 'we're making sure you know that we don't want you near us' and the guy just ignores it. There's sadly people like that.

Oh my god!!! the Gyarus design are so good!!! Its so so much more colorful and 'fun' than the OG in my opinion like they actually have flavor in their personality if you get me lolol.
Hannah reminds me more of Ibuki Mioda, It's my fave one, I enjoyed so much the Danganronpa references.

I love the change of skin tone! I think we need more POC representation and I think you're designs were beautiful! The skin tones don't take away from the redesign. Honestly I believe YanSim needs more people of color as there is little diversity in the game. It feels like people forget there are Japanese people of color. Love the Danganronpa vibes and I got Junko feelings from some of the designs!! Keep these coming I love watching!

and i like seeing that they're popular due to them being very kind
If we were to stay with the concept of these girls being bullies (or even just going off of the fact that gyarus are supposedly really bombastic and aggressive anyway), I kinda like the concept of Kokoro being in the group for the sole fact that she enjoys gyaru subculture, but she's a lot nicer than the others and doesn't usually actively participate in bullying anybody. I say this mainly because I saw a comment about Oka being friends with one of these girls, and I enjoy the concept of her being friends with your redesigned Kokoro specifically. Their characters contradict with each other in a way that I think would be really cute to see play off of one another, and I'm imagining a whole side story revolving around their secret friendship. Like maybe they used to be childhood friends, but the current crowd Kokoro runs with are slowly separating them, or Kokoro saw entirely different people bullying Oka one day and orchestrates plans for the rest of her gyaru friends to torment the people bullying Oka, which eventually leads to her and Kokoro secretly hanging out after Oka figures out what's going on and goes to thank her. I also think their friendship could probably make more sense given the fact that they're darker skinned than most of the people around them and maybe that used to be a thing that got them both made fun of when they were younger.
Ok, Please tell me Galko chan is an amazing anime. It's a really short series (7-10 ep) each about 10-15 min long. For a bit more mature audiences. It breaks the stereotypes of normal anime stereotypes ex: galko looks very gyaru but at heart she's a super sweet and helpful girl who cares about those around her.
The orange and the pink ones remind me so much of Junko Enoshima. I have absolutely no idea why, she just comes to my mind when I see those two redesigns.
