dodging doesnt reset her basic attack sequence. her dodge counter starts her at basic attack 3, making it easier to get to 4 allowing her to enter true sight still. Also true sight is activate the moment the animation for basic attack 4 begins, so u can dodge out of it to good straight to true sight attack instead

Good review TenTen. I felt the skill curve using her when I did that part of the quest. She is MUCH more difficult to optimize than Jinhsi who basically negates damage through grappling hook.
I'm curious to see the nuances of how swap backs interact with her truesight... Playing her with Encore or Chixia the way Cal and Yinlin played before the outro nerf might actually be really strong and the way to go. Excited to see though... Hate having to wait haha

Well you could get hit but its all about matching the bosses rhythm anyways the "ideal" move or technique varies from attack to attack so it's just better to dance than to worry about optimal combos.

TBF, Yinlins theory crafting was like this. MIn maxing combos but alas the usual routine ultmately was simpler.
tbh i think she would have benefited more from having an outraskill that did damage than having a buffing one, because at least she won't be forced to run fusion teams. Since she wants to switch out a lot for max DPS she actually benefits the quickswap style which just would have more sense especially since she could have potentially ran the ATK% set that buffs outra daamge and made her more fleshed out. I could also have seen then giving her a more universal damage buff like 15% ATK to next character and then do damage when switch into them to really sell the quickswap style.
Bro your combo is completely wrong lol. You're supposed to use her ult at the start cuz it gives her 25% ATK buff. Also, she has high energy requirement so you want to use her ult at the start and let the rest of her combo generate energy.
Her dodge counter will make Changli skip to her 3rd basic attack so its not a huge DPS loss as you claim. Using Calcharo is a terrible example cuz Changli is a swap cancel friendly character.
There is a good reason why even with Changli's long field time, her best teams are still looking to be dual DPS with Encore/Chixia or hypercarry with Taoqi, and every single one of them takes a considerable amount of field time.

Her Ult grants the following buff:
When Changli releases Heavy Attack Flaming Scrifice within 10s, her ATK is increased by 25%, after which Fiery Feather ends
You don't get the ATK buff for the whole rotation.
Additionally, you want your Ult to get buffed from the Heavy Attack
Also, while she can be swap-cancelled, Tenten mentions how her aerial attack is hard to swap out of while having the new character stay grounded
She has the most satisfying gameplay and sfx in the whole game.

Comparing Changli to Calcharo power level and playstyle was exactly my same thoughts a few weeks ago. You will have to have the best mid max stats to get that big sub DPS numbers even if you dub her. Ggs to everyone on your pulls next week.

@@Vizible21 Uh no? Those are two different terms for a reason and they do different things. Dual dps teams and main dps/ sub dps teams are not the same. She has main dps tier damage and that’s literally her tag in the game. Not to mention her quick swap/dual dps teams are an OPTION. She works well in a hyper carry comp with taoqi + verina as long as you have a high refinement discord on Taoqi, and every future skill buffer that gets released will support her selfish team comps.

well, the only difference is that Changli has way cooler sound effects than Calcharo. Also, These long animations can be resolve by putting a team that generates so much shield like Jianxin or Taoqi
Definietly not Jianxin, it takes way to long to charge her shield.
Also there will 100% be swap cancels or some crazy weird techs on her to limit the downsides.

You shouldn't be doing her full normal attack combos (intro in, dodge counter, etc), and most of her big long moves can be swapped out of.

You need her S1 for the interrupt resistance, otherwise can't combo to stacks. If i can't get S1, I guess will party with Yuanwu.
The interruption resistance only works on Forte and skill, doing the basics dont give interruption resistance. So it doesn't solve that much.
Does her attack buff from the Liberation only apply to the 1st forte heavy attack after? Because it doesn’t have a duration in the skill description. Also, basing on her weapon, using Lib at the end might be better because the forte heavy attack is considered skill dmg right?

I don't have a good experience with Calcharo.. this makes me abit worried now. I wanted to C2 her but I guess I go for C0 to test her first before investing more.
So it isn’t just me and the best part is that Changli feels she is made to be a pure Waifu character all style no substance.
I played on mobile and calcharo just dies so expecting the same with changli (skipping her). Swapping on mobile feels bad so it was preferable to play 2 characters only and i ignored swap cancelling and only used it with echos.
Anyway I ended up buying a phone controller and its good even tho its my first time playing with a controller. It kinda disappointing that mobile didnt get a controller support.
Encore still the best Fusion dps it seems

I don't understand either, why not intro (but not proc the stack keep it for later), ult , forte and then apply the intro stack so you start the next rotation with 1 stack

@@afacog5288 Haven't tested but I think the moment you press Left click to hold, she will cast the True Sight atk, there is no way you can save the buff.
So basically ChangLi is a fusion YinLin that she is a hybrid dps that also has plenty long animations but not an off field damage dealer. Not a problem 😂 after suffering with Calcharo we take those as a challenge for our fusion mommy.
Unless Changli's kit is stacked which it isn't because its lacking damage big time it isn't worth pulling for. I got Calcharo for free and I didn't want him I wanted Encore and I got her instead of Jinhsi Ahhhhhh.

We'll see. Getting bounced out of your attack string to build stacks will feel terrible, as will unleashing them to an enemy that has already left the scene.
Unpopular opinion - her playstyle in general feels just like a 1 click button spam. The ult is a big click, the skill is a middle click.

She should get really strong poise from ba3 all the way to ba5. Then you can at least choose to eat a hit but keep the stacks coming.
I love her gameplay, so I am definitely getting her. I want as much copies as possible and one weapon. I did not pull any other character, so I have many pulls saved. None of the characters in the game right now really suited me. I played mostly with Yangyang and switch to Jianxin, which I use right now with Havoc Rover and Verina. It's nice squad and plays well, but in all of those characters not everything really clicks with me, so I am glad Changli suits me and I do not need to wait longer for a character I know I will really enjoy, so she becomes my main instantly.
Will definitely test different options in terms of her rotation, so I hope to find something better than you showed here.
EDIT: Oh and she looks AWESOME during combat, so another plus for the fun gameplay.
Honestly, I love Rover and any other sword user that isn't flashy, they help me parry so nicely compared to someone like YinLin or Verina, who can only parry consistently with a heavy attack or plunge attack.

@@Gheniel_ I will probably stick to Havoc Rover and Verina. Not as high as Jianxin, but Changli still gives bonus to liberation and if I could get her chain to 4(if I remember correctly) it's another team buff, so I can use her as main DPS and still nuke with Rover's ult. Especially that I do not like Chixia's gameplay, so I am glad it should still work well with Rover.

agree, i feel she could be a full short burst and a concerto(thou i see its kind of slow in the video) support with her outro main benefit is "amplify fusion type" on the next character.
I didn't think about that, but this rotation might look pretty good. Only worry is that you'll need a decent amount of energy gen to garuntee ult when switch in

Hrm....the current info I'm seeing on her burst is 830% at base....and with her long field time, Jianxin on paper looks like the better support character over our flower girl this time around.
Flower girl is default 3rd slot regardless of the dps rn until we get a limited support/healer which is a long time
@@jeshu5073 Yes and no. We have 3 healers atm, which is exactly what's required at the base level for TOA. And you can't slot flower girl on every team, so it's a matter of prioritizing which healer is going in which team. It makes more sense to slot flower girl on another team, such as a team with Jinshi, since she better rounds out Jinshi's kit. Same case with Changli and Jianxin; her shield + heals covers Changli's long demand for field time, plus groups enemies, plus RL shred. It's more logical to go with Jianxin, in this instance.
She's guaranteed for me and rn I'm at 40 pulls. After I got Jinshi and I got Ice Tiger dude in the next pull so I'm wondering to go for her or not.
Next banner after changli is the 5* mix version of yinlin+taoqi combine. So the question is do you like jinhsi enough ? Or your wallet enough ?

@@John-df6nm when they say taoqi + yinlin they are talking about Zhezhi, which is basicall Yinlin (coordinated attack) + taoqi (resonance skill dmg buff in her Outro). So she is the perfect sub dps for Jinhsi.

I really hate how overboard they went with Jinhsi, I just can't stand her :<
But regarding her potential: It's definitely much different in ToA, where you start your rotation properly with the res lib, leading into your first burst rotation immediately and she probably actually benefits of your 2nd fusion dps having a longer burst rotation as well, giving her a jumpstart in resonance energy for the next switch. This is also emphasized by her outro compelling you to use that full rotation on your sub/2nd fusion dps.
ur ult is gonna do a lot less dmg if u use her without a forte first since the forte gives a huge buff and the buff pos ultimate is only for 1 forte usage

Nah, unless most of a character's damage output comes from skill damage, it's a very minor upgrade over the standard 5* sword.
And, at least according to Prydwen, only 27% of Danjin's damage output comes from her skill.
Also, take into account that DMG bonuses are aditive, not multiplicative. So when you add the 60% DMG bonus from echo main stats, +40% DMG bonus from echo set, +10% from turtle echo, +12% from heron... That's already a 122% DMG Bonus before taking echo substats into account. This means that a 56% DMG bonus is, in practice, closer to a 25% DMG increase. And since only 27% of Danjin's DMG is skill damage, this is only a 6.75% increase. And this is assuming you can keep full stacks 100% of the time... In reality, this should be more like a 6% increase overall, when compared to the standard sword, at best. Probably a bit less, considering 12% Energy recharge loss. (so... it's more like a 4% to 5% upgrade over the standard sword, I think.)
In comparison, getting a signature weapon that matches a character usually means around a 17% or 18% damage increase.
TLDR: unless you are getting Changli, I highly recomend you skip her weapon. The standard 5* sword is too good, and Changli's weapon effect is niche.

@@thornszk I'm not sure about Jinhsi dealing more dmg to this particular enemy but Jinhsi does do more dmg normally than changli based on several TC video calculation that I watch. Doesn't stop me from skipping Jinhsi for her tho 😂

I've found that Jihnsi also has issues with her combos that end up leaving her vulnerable, at least for me. To remedy this instead of teaming her with Verina, I team her with my Jianxin and basically put a big ass shield on her so that Jihnsi can just go balls out. I'm predicting that this may end up being the case for Changli as well considering how often I've heard that her attack strings and follow ups leave her very vulnerable. I've also found that Jianxin's shield tends to heal quite a bit while it's up and I can usually get her shield up and full fast enough to not be an issue. The only issue which everyone knows about is the slow activation time of Jianxin in order to get a full shield. But anywho, that's my $.02. Lemme know what you guys tend to do or think. Other than that I have a skill issue which I totally do lol
Unfortunately shield only absorb a damage but you still get knocked up. Yeah i think jinshi is easier than changli because she has so many i frame
But Jinhsi dodge attack skips her 4NA sequence and directly go to her 3rd NA and easy access to 2nd skill. Also her Skills and Liberation stops time, so shes less vulnerable. And her attack sequence when she's in a floating state can't be interrupted.
just use Jue echo skill before using her incarnation skill, so u use the wind current to have high ground with her midaiir attacks without getting hit (most of the time)
I'm not sure what character you're playing. The only time Jinhsi is vulnerable is during her initial 4-basic attacks. After that, once she gets rolling, using her Unity to intro her future combos, she's playing on easy mode. She's entirely safe, her S2 teleports her behind the enemy, she's floating in air, her S3 stops time. I can't see any vulnerability in her combo nor have experienced any openings. You can even Grapple Rope higher to take her higher and 90% of the enemy roster can't even hit her.
@@dagewastaken7236 Nah, she can get clapped because of her animation, vs fast attacking enemies.. Happens in holograms. Also the dragon spinning all over the screen can make it hard to spot what the enemy boss is doing. She is "janky" in her own way lol xD

2 huge reasons to pull
not hard to execute breaking your combo wont affect your stacks and shes a main dps that can be a sub dps
Changli/Calcharo are S tier dps only if you can get their damage out in most optimum way in a rotation . Very few people have that skill with a device that can enables you to use those skills. That's why people with decentish skills should pull for mechanicaly simple dps like Jiyan/Jinshi to complete some of the hardest content in game easily . But if you don't care about these contents simply pull for who you like.
Well that means Changli is really weak then just like Calcharo. I built Calcharo and I don’t want to build another wasted character.
i donth think changlis damage will be anywhere near jinhsi damage no matter how well you play her, calcharo isnt either
I watch a lot of guides, but most don't describe the weaknesses. This is why I always love your guides since Jinjix introduced you before he retired from Genshin.

Changli gameplay and power is on par with Calcharo unless Waifu can make you pull and play a mid character. I made that mistake with Eula in Genshin.
@@thornszk He is actually free. There will be an event where you farm event currency and after getting 6k of it, you can exchange it for Xiangli Yao. There is also a short gameplay of him already on YT.
I always feel this when i try the character. Jinshi is just too good. Even better, Lore accurates. She is way way better.
Her Teacher however, simply normal human who master the way of sword. So basically Unga Bunga God Talent Jinshi vs Normal person climbed to Apex Changli.

??? Changli isn't just a "normal human". She literally has the power of the Phoenix inside of her and she's most likely the Vermillion Bird which is one of the 4 big symbols of huonglong. Where is it stated Jinshi has "god talent?" Jue just saved her and gave her a fraction of it's power. There's literally nothing to lead us to believe that Jinshi is stronger than Changli lore wise

I think it makes more sense to assume a magistrate is stronger than someone who can potentially be the bird especially since it’s not even confirmed…
@@fr3941 She isn't summoning Jue itself, the dragon she summons in combat is part the power that jue gave to her. The real jue isn't something she can just summon. He's his own deity. Also all logic and the lore we know point to Changli being the bird, it wouldn't make any sense if she wasn't

I tried her and was dissapointed, she is so convoluted and in the same time unrewarding, she is a melee and require so much attention, as for me she is unplayble, the only pros are: big boobs and beautiful animations, dmg is not great even if performed well but in most cases you don't so dmg go down drastically, like Jinshi is an ideal melee character, half time she is immune to dmg another half she is floating above ignoring anything, super easy to perform
Yeah Changli is kinda bad actually I'd say that she is likely on par with Calcharo right now and thats bad. Of course they went all out on Changli to balance out the fact she is kinda weak.

Since changli has long field time , your other dps / sub dps needs high damage and low field time .
So if someone like jinshi arrives for fusion dps unit then changli will have her best team
Sanhua is already the best f2p option for Encore, so the best option for Changli would be Chixia, especially because chixia benefit from liberation buff while Encore doesnt. BUT, Encore can still work very well with Changli if u want to play them together.
I hope kuro soon releases a character who is easier to use. I'm getting tired of characters who's combos are a bunch of letters and numbers on screen. I want an unga bunga character.

Good video but u are playing Changli slightly wrong her ult + overall dmg increases when she gets her blindfold u know if u did it right if u ult and she has the blindfold

You do realize you're playing her wrong right? You're canceling the true sight dash attack and losing the damage at the end of it when you DON'T need to. You can still fit her whole rotation off during the max weapon stacks without needing to cancel any animation. At least play her for more than 10 minutes before making a half baked ass video
