Man I can't wait for this slower format to come. I hate the current fast paced format. ADP Zacian started it all. I hope cards like Charizard and Dragapult never get printed again.
I do think Marnie’s morpeko could be great. 1 Grimsnarl gives you instant 220 is kinda insane. That’s enough to knock out most 2 Prize basics. With lots of HP boosters in format it could be kinda insane, or at least a fun rouge deck.
True, also with Janine's Secret Art and Binding Mochi, you could add more energy to hit 260, then the poison buff would hit 300. Then with the attach for turn you could swing for 340 in a single turn. Sounds like material for a BDF.
@ Not BDIF, more like high b or low a tier deck. Grimsnarl becomes useless and Morpeko has low HP. Maybe with some extra help it could work. Although with lively stadium and bravery charm, it does get 140 HP and that’s not terrible, but a jamming tower would screw you up hard. Maybe with some later cards it could be BDIF, but I think it will stand amongst Garde, Miraidon, Hydregion and Raging Bolt as a contender.

are we sure these won't be in journey together? Are they in a new full japanese set, or a small "promo" set? I think cards like prismatic evo riolu comes from a deck box, and is not in terastal festival, so maybe something similar could happen here? Isn't there also history of two japanese sets coming together to make up one english set?

Unfortunately there isn't really a pokemon to take advantage immediately of metagross's ability. All stellar pokemon that have a psychic metal cost arent psychic or metal type Pokemon. I though about espathra but it becomes a grass type. I guess we shall wait and see what it can do.
Steven is all about defence Hop is all about offense Marnie is energy acceleration Iono is energy movement N is about spamming different moves with zoroark. Lillie is about nothing because the best character on this list got the least amount of cards 😡💢😡💢.

There is a Tinkaton in format that lets you do more damage with metal energy attached that may be something

Yep - can only evolve from Steven's Metang
So 20 base plus 40x5 is 220 damage for morpeko if you attach all 5 dark energy. Not bad for a 70hp mon
