The vocalist that did the poetic "hell upon hell, death beyond reach" part is the vocalist of black tongue, band that did "I'm so tired of sighing, please lord let it be night" another beautifully terrifying breakdown
Hell no that black tongue breakdown is hands down the most filthy, sludgy, evil, demonic and plain massive breakdown I have ever heard and I fucking loved it
Infant Annihilator is one of my favorite deathcore bands, glad they're here. I dont really care if its computerised/fake etc, as long as it's good music that's all that matters imo.
People exaggerate when dissing IA. There's clearly real musical talent and compositional talent involved, especially looking past the drums and other computerized or semi-computerized stuff. And as far as I know Dickie is just a damn good vocalist.
@@musicman3351 on the first album he did the drums normally, on the second album he did them himself but in very short segments at a time and then adding them together in the production, and for the third album they completely programmed them so not completely
It's probably too recent to be in this chart, but the breakdown from Fit For An Autopsy - Far From Heaven is absolutely insane. The whole song is, tbh. I can't wait for the Album.
I love breakdowns, and I think these lists can be fun, but I think these lists can’t truly demonstrate the effectiveness of a breakdown. I’d argue half the quality of a breakdown is the lead up to it, they don’t have the same punch for me if they’re not in context. Still, fun video
It should be noted that despite the Lyric Event, this version of Spirit Box - Holy Roller was NOT the original version, this was the version ft. Ryo Kinoshita, lead vocalist of Crystal Lake.
I don't know if you have it in your song list if you ever end up playing it on stream, but "Extrem" by We Butter The Bread With Butter has a breakdown that's... interesting, to say the least.
I really like the first and last ones, TBH. The first one may not be a very heavy breakdown at all (at least compared to the rest), but it's a banger tune nonetheless. The last one, while it is pretty hilarious that they switch from this heavy sound and vocals to the light guitar, I feel like that was put as the 'heaviest' one because there's some meaning behind it. It's called 'The Battle of Yaldabaoth', so it makes me think of a weary soldier hiding in the trenches, without much strength left to fight, hence those light tones. Then, every now and then, they hear the gunfire from outside, represented by those heavy shreds coming in without warning. As for the choke, it might be the soldier reminiscing on their fondest memories, before they ended up in this "hell upon hell" with nothing else to strive for except "death beyond reach". I've never heard the song before, so to those who have, what I said might either be painstakingly obvious or completely wrong.
For 'The Battle of Yaldabaoth' that sounds about right, though it's part of a 2 album long story and after listening to all of it I can safely say the soldier doesn't have fond memories to reminisce on lol. I almost think the calmer parts represent the sense of relief that the hellish world the story is set in may end due to this war
Man it's nice seeing your videos again. Also Infant Annihilator is great I'm so glad they were included in this because man they just....I have no words.
They didn't add that the version of Holy Roller they used was with Ryo Kinoshita of Crystal Lake. That's not the normal heaviness of the breakdown with Courtney. Also, all of Black Tongues breakdowns are fucking sick
I just got into charting and there being no rhyme or reason to the measures is destroying my soul. I'm racking my brain to figure out how they even got the chart to match up to the audio. Great selection of breakdowns though. Also great playing as always
Ya know, last video of Jason's I watched was his return from that break years ago. Glad to see how well he's doing and also sad I somehow just stopped watching his stuff
I feel like I'd understand the lyrics more if they were sung by a literal garbage disposal for some of these, damn. Edit: Not saying it's bad, just saying holy fuck those voices. How do they do that? Seriously, what the fuck?
Some crazy ass technique that goes on to do this safely. Highly recommend checking out some of the growling focused vocal coaching YT channels such as Kardavox Academy. Really helps to gain an appreciation of just what these folks do with their voices.
theres something like 3 sets of false vocals that can be activated to do this safely without tearing your vocal cords. From there its just shaping the sound similar to normal singing. To get the pig sounds, they literally use spit.

You're completely right! Clone Hero, Wii Guitar using a Raphnet adapter like this one www.raphnet-tech.com/products/wusbmote_1player_adapter_v3/index.php
@@JasonParadise YOU ARE THE BEST! Definitely enjoying your videos too man! Keep up the great work. With your help with this adapter, my forever dream of playing deathcore hero will finally be fulfilled! You have my gratitude Sir!
If this was covering the full wide range of breakdowns in 10 songs Domination would probably be like 3rd outta 10. For as much as I love Domination, this chart starts at more like a 6 and goes to 11, so it doesn't quite fit here. I really do want to see a 1 to 10 version of this, with a bit more focus on some of the less brutal breakdowns because there are some really good ones out there in the same ballpark as Domination
I love that IA had the opportunity to send the song to the 10th level of Hell that Dante didn't even dare to tread
and then gave us *that*
Some light fucking!
It's such a gem
That last breakdown tho. Just some light... 😩
Like someone stealing the last Popeyes biscuit from your hand right as you were about to take a bite.
I'll have some light fucking please
some light fucking never hurts
The vocalist that did the poetic "hell upon hell, death beyond reach" part is the vocalist of black tongue, band that did "I'm so tired of sighing, please lord let it be night" another beautifully terrifying breakdown

I LOVE this Jason's pronunciation of "горит огонь", best part of the video XD
Hell no that black tongue breakdown is hands down the most filthy, sludgy, evil, demonic and plain massive breakdown I have ever heard and I fucking loved it
I had to search up what the lstin meant and it aint good😬
And that’s just infant annihilators live band lol
Infant Annihilator is one of my favorite deathcore bands, glad they're here. I dont really care if its computerised/fake etc, as long as it's good music that's all that matters imo.
Agreed.
Hell, even knowing how to use production to get that sound is a skill set all its own. Those dudes know what they're doing.
People exaggerate when dissing IA. There's clearly real musical talent and compositional talent involved, especially looking past the drums and other computerized or semi-computerized stuff. And as far as I know Dickie is just a damn good vocalist.
Aaron Kitcher actually plays those drums.
@@musicman3351 on the first album he did the drums normally, on the second album he did them himself but in very short segments at a time and then adding them together in the production, and for the third album they completely programmed them so not completely
ah yes, _Brvtal_ Breakdowns!
BRVTAL
It's a black metal thing. The swap out u's for v's.
I love that Holy Roller was on this, I freaking love that breakdown, and it was the Ryo Kenoshita version too!
It's probably too recent to be in this chart, but the breakdown from Fit For An Autopsy - Far From Heaven is absolutely insane.
The whole song is, tbh. I can't wait for the Album.
Bro I legit said in my head "He better put battle of yaldabaoth at the end" and I fucking called it, I love whoever made this.
Including anything Falling In Reverse on a list of breakdowns is bold. Wrong, but bold
Well, it was included as the lightest one, and it was still a breakdown.
I love breakdowns, and I think these lists can be fun, but I think these lists can’t truly demonstrate the effectiveness of a breakdown. I’d argue half the quality of a breakdown is the lead up to it, they don’t have the same punch for me if they’re not in context. Still, fun video

That Black Tongue breakdown sounds like my stomach after Taco Bell
Considering I opened this video on the can, I think Chaotic finally found the brown note.
Same. Glad I wasn't wearing pants for this one. LUL
Classic tallmatt
Man I love this Doom level
I added that black tongue song to my playlist after watching this. Jeeesssus. I had only heard Second Death by them. I need to listen to more of them
Black Tongve's vocalist is channeling his inner sink garbage disposal
Abyssal mouth is for sure one of the heaviest breakdowns out there.
“Have a light-“ *insanity* “FUCKING!”
Jason 2021
The black tongue's breakdown made me shiver!! What the hell!
love the messenger soundtrack playing in the background. replaying it now.
I don't know if you have it in your song list if you ever end up playing it on stream, but "Extrem" by We Butter The Bread With Butter has a breakdown that's... interesting, to say the least.
Das Album is awesome. Love it.

**me hears demonic screaming**
*mom is that you?!*
The Kingdom Sitteth Lonely Beneath Thine Hollowed Heavens by Infant Annihilator is imo one of the heaviest songs ive ever heard XDDD
Then you should try "Nitheful -ARCHANGEL LUCIFERI" because it's much heavier. Enjoy (it has a music video).

True, it has an insane rhythm and it has some of the most bone crushing riffs I've ever heard.

Welcome to another episode of Guitar Hero! Starring Jason, Ghost Rider, & Satan.
Ayyyyy glad you're still on GH, s/o from the old squad from back in 2010~! - vVv Dream
Much love, Dream! ❤🤘
They didn't add that the version of Holy Roller they used was with Ryo Kinoshita of Crystal Lake. That's not the normal heaviness of the breakdown with Courtney. Also, all of Black Tongues breakdowns are fucking sick
It's funny that the breakdown isn't the heaviest part of the normal version of Holy Roller.
"Have som light FUCKING"...
"BRVTAL BREAKDOWNS"
no Signs Of The Swarm, no Traitors...
Jason getting the surprise light fucking like I get a surprise colonoscopy
Bruh demolisher came on and I punched every single person I saw - Gandhi
Speaking of DOOM level songs that are unbelievably heavy, MAJIN - Argent cell: ETRNL is so gross and would've been a great addition here
Am I the only person that relates heaviness to the instruments and not the growling/screaming amount?
"Wait, we're gonna go heavier than this?
ᵒᵏ" - Jason 2021
At what moment does this stop being music and just turn into Ganondorf on a microphone?
There should be been Raining Blood cover by Ages Of Atrophy the breakdown is so hard I can't help but headbang everytime
"stop chewing babies"
gotta say, glad they had the ryo holy roller version, but not including the breakdown from disobey is a crime.
Now… Infant Annihilator - Blasphemian
jasons face when you pause at 4:51 XD
No Brand of Sacrifice in a heavy breakdown list? What is this, amateur night?
I was looking for this comment
welp I'm gonna leave the video unfortunately because I was expecting Brand of Sacrifice LOL
I'm so tired of Sighing is like the best mode of breakdown. Nothing beats that.
I'm impressed how good this list is :D
TRVE KVLT
Edit: they also used the Ryo version of Holy Roller without crediting him, interesting

Welcome back around! Plenty of new stuff to come. Appreciate you swinging back through.
song 3 was like a demon possesing a demon
If I'm not mistaken, that's Will Ramos' cover of Holy Roller. That's not Spiritbox's version.
It’s holy roller featuring Ryo Kinoshita of Crystal Lake
You’re mistaken.
I appreciate The Messenger soundtrack in the back! How better to offset demon noises?
I’ve always said that people who can scream like this are definitely not human! But then again I wouldn’t change them for the world!
Me at To The Hellfire pt 2: Wait, if this is number 2, what the hell is #1?
Trevor: HELL UPON HELL-
Me: *of course they would*
Haha the last one blew the fart out of my ass
I would've put Brand of Sacrifice somewhere on this list if I were making it.

I will never forgive the chart creator for not putting as the last one "a thousand miles"...
How didn't pray for plaques by bmth not make it
I like how you were so casual
Is it a coincidence that your 666th TH-cam upload is a brütal breakdown compilation? Or did you have a sneaky little plan in mind there 😏
Gosh that last one was definitely brutal... just not in the way I thought it would be 😅
Mooooorrrreeee, we want more
what are all of the songs here in order?
If you can find the chart for Welcome Back, OH Sleeping Dreamer by Lorna Shore please play it.
glad they used the version with ryu @holyroller
"THATS HARD"
4th one so brutal my nose vein popped
i wonder if anyone's made a Sleep Token chart yet
This was a banger stream
Someone know the name of the song where they were opening hell? I need that on my playlist
