Ethan just letting you know if you think that is filthy....look up the meanings to most pop music and country today....you'll be amazed to find that the meanings to several hundred songs pop music puts out is about fucking and doing drugs like cocaine and meth or heroine....for instance look up any demi Lovato song after 2014 and LITERALLY every song talks about her having sex or whatever....Miranda lambert talks about that for instance little red wagon.....fuck them....this right here is NOTHING compared to anything worse than pop if anything this is more holy than pop ever will be

This is a great way to react to the song! Seeing the notes “written out” as it is makes me appreciate the band’s skill’s even more
except the scores aren't even close to what the guitarist is playing - a guitar has more than 5 notes, and doesn't have buttons. I guess that's the point of the game, to make it easy to follow, but if a song is hard to play in clone hero, it's fckn impossible to play irl.

One reason I imagine is because on guitar hero you have 5 heavily spaced apart buttons in solos instead of what guitar actually has

I am not a vocalist, nor know anything about singing, OR much deathcore. When I first heard this I thought the singer would be some kind of frankensteinian combination of George Fisher and another George Fisher, not a spindly 27 year old with a Skrillex-do.

I will advise, if I may. Metal tastes in particular, seem to be ever evolving and perspectives ever changing. Who knows, maybe some day this song will pop into your head... You can't remember what it sounds like because it's been so long, but you just *know* that you need to listen to it asap. Thus begins your journey across the shore of Lorna!
Or maybe that day won't ever come. I can say that exact situation has happened to me before though. Never be afraid to revisit something you didn't like all too much on your first attempt.. Lorna Shore, or any other band.
I'm not advocating for Lorna Shore by the way, I had just kinda started to listen to them right before To the Hellfire dropped. When the song did drop I listened to it and immediately fell in love, like so many others have. So basically I have no biased motivations, and am not telling you that you should do this so that you'll give Lorna Shore another shot, is all I'm getting at here.
I'm an advocate for keeping your metal mind open... To new things, and different perspectives on old ones, all the same!

The first few times I heard this song, I couldn't get through it. I typically lie more in the metalcore end of the heavy music spectrum, and LS is just too much for me.
This song, though, has grown on me. It took me a few listens to really appreciate what he's doing vocally, along with the paradox of how a song can be so technically fast, sonically slow, and heavy as hell all at the same time.
@@thefortyniner I was always a metalcore kid, Alive or Just Breathing by Killswitch Engage was my JAM in highschool, along with so many others of course.
I heard the song "This is Exile" By Whitechapel when their album by the same name had just dropped... I thought it was hilarious! So bad... I couldn't understand how anyone thought that was music. Ironically I would pull up the song to show someone how bad it was, a friend or whatever... So I ended up listening to the song a few times because of that...
It must have been not even a week or two later when I got into one of my buddies trucks to go to a party, he had a mixed CD in the deck that another one of our friends had thrown together and left in there. On this CD was "Possession" by Whitechapel, along with a ton of other absolute garbage poppy bullcrap (stuff that my buddy who's truck it was would listen to).
After failing to find another song on the CD that I was even willing to *tolerate* (yes, that bad) I decided hey, I'm gonna put this Whitechapel song on so we can just listen to how hilariously bad it is. It's metal though so at least it's better than the rest of the crap on this CD. It was toward the end of the song, the famous breakdown in possession was playing (you will likely know nothing about that, since this music isn't your taste and all). My buddy says "OK I can't stand this anymore its crap," and goes to change it.
You would probably guess that I encouraged this, but no, I swatted his hand away from the player and told him to hang on, I wanted to finish listening to this part. Well this part ended up being =the rest of the song... And then starting the song over again to listen to that one part.
Over the next, I'd say six months, this quickly escalated from that single part in that single song of Whitechapel's popping into my head, until I'd go give it a listen. To Whitechapel being the only band that existed to me practically! Hahah. Over the next year, probably more, I listened to "This is Exile" so much that I can barely stand to listen to it now hahaha. If it were anything else I'd probably kill someone if I were to hear it.. I mean I absolutely played this album to *death.*
I've been a huge deathcore fan ever since... All of my top 5 favorite albums are deathcore.. Heck, I'd have to think about it, it may very well be that the only non deathcore album in my top *ten* faves of all time is Courting Tragedy and Disaster by Himsa lol. It's funny how that worked out.
I think this kind of music really takes some getting used to, and an open mind toward the vocals, which is the part I became absolutely enamored with personally, and I think a lot of people do once they realize what goes into making those noises, and the talent behind it. Once you kind of start to learn to understand what they are saying, read the lyrics of a couple songs and realize they are actually saying words fairly clearly most of the time.. It becomes this crazy, beastial.. Br00tal... badass thing that's so cool to hear. Idk, anyway, I've ranted for far too long now, just got me wondering how many people with a penchant for music that's "heavier," (even rap and some other stuff like that) would really like this music if they gave it a chance. My girl is still surprised that she actually loves some of my music now.

I legit can't understand a word of that song aside from "beyond the veil" a few times
when you look up to lyrics it gets easier to understand i guess, and these were the only words I could hear clearly at first: "azrael, guiding me beyond the veil, obitual, free me from this mortal shell" and "my final breath swallowed by the womb of death"
