I was up in the Adirondacks a couple of months ago and picked up a vintage reflector oven from a local there for $3. I almost squealed like a girl when I flipped it over and saw the price. When I took it up to him, he said "Give me two bucks for it." I told him, it says $3. He said, well, you just saved a buck and he let me have it. I'm planning on trying it out this weekend.
That looked great ! That oven looked very familiar lol never owned one but our scout master had one we did some cooking in it at jamboree ! Great oven ! Thanks for the memory ! Are you going back to the shadow series or are they done ! I have to say even though modern this series has the air of old timely adirondack days from what I've read ! Take care brother
I picked up a used reflector oven, a good grill and a #8 cast iron skillet at a yard sale. I was pretty happy to pay the guy $20 for the lot. I did a video on biscuits and gravy with mine. That canoe bread looked pretty good, maybe a spoon or two of jam? Thank you for the video
I don't trip without my Old Scout Reflector Oven. We've made pizzas, fish, and biscuits in ours. The Bungee Dealy Bob's are pretty awesome also. The fellow that makes these is super nice. Local MN company.
That looks good, Can't beat some of the boy scout gear on occasion. I will admit got a bit of a giggle. When you went to swipe your finger across the fork, then went for the spoon. :)
The bread looked great! Watching this video reminded me that my wife picked me up a reflector oven at a yard sale for almost nothing, I have to try it now!
Cool oven, man. Gotta break mine back out with the cool weather on us.
Thanks Todd
