    Wow, they sent you that! I only have a 2450 and 2460... the 2461 is just a dream now at $9,600 USD.
    I love the interface, the Kickstart programming software is pretty easy to get going, and they have lots of good examples. The only difficult thing was figuring out how to have the different source meters and DMMs communicate over TSP-Link so that one device can trigger readings on another device to characterize a DUT. But their field engineers answered my questions and provided more examples.
    I hope to see more with the 2461!

    Yeah, Marco. I can see why they sent you the 2461 :-) The 2450 only goes up to 1 amp. Awesome kit.

    That was a super interesting video. For my taste it ended too soon but was very informative. The Keithley 2461 is not a loaner like the rohde und schwarz oszilloskop? I would love some more experiments with the stuff you got in your lab. Are you going to compare it to your Osmu or is that project dead?

    Interesting to see the solar cell readind withe flashing light. The light flashed appropriately warmed up and cooled off quicker than it could fully peek. And level off.

    I was really interested in getting the 2470 to replace our aging fleet of 2410's with its newer features and better display and interface options. Sadly where it claims the same 20W, it can only do 10mA at 1000V where the 2410 can do 20mA at 1000V. The design of the 2410 is over 20 years old and only sports a GPIB remote interface. You would think that newer would be better; but I guess that is not always the case.

    This is the first time I ever heard/seen a SourceMeter. A very fancy and probably pricey instrument.
    Made in China. Probably means eventually there will be a Chinese brand offering similar features at a fraction of the price.

    What one wouldn't give to have one of those on one's bench.
    Though, I don't really do anything where such an instrument would be needed.
    But a 4 quadrant power source/sink with decent measurement capabilities wouldn't be a bad thing to have on the other hand....

    I wonder, do you think you would be able to test a product called EMP Shield? They claim to be able to protect your house or car's electronics from and EMP or CME. Aparently the US government is using them too but they've never demonstrated it. I only understand the absolute basics of it all but I though if anyone might know how to do this, it would be you. Just a random thought.

      Stefan Giehler, that's a 45W laser module that he showed in a previous video.

      According to the datasheet, that module output a wavelength of 808nm and operate at a current of 59A.
      You can search for the datasheet by typing "jold-45-cpxf-1l.pdf" into Google.

    I'm using the 2460 in a laboratory of semiconductors , it cannot recognize my storage device (i tried in different configurations as fat32 and ntfs), also it doesn't have the histrogram option.
