I m an immigrant myself, but I strongly believe that every country has the right to pick and choose who is coming into the country. That's not what's happening with asylum seekers - they are just thrusting themselves into Ireland at the expense of its own citizens and all of whom are legally resident here. I work hard and pay taxes ,and i don't want my hard earned money to be spent of providing 3 star accommodation to asylum seekers.

To the naive fella that said “ If you’re born in Ireland you’re Irish” in reality it doesn’t work like that. Alot of these new settlers that have kids here bring them up with their own culture at home. There is no Irish culture in those houses…..I’m a Londoner born and bred and I’ve seen my area over the last 30 years go from an English area into a ghetto of every nation under the son where there is zero integration and sadly very few true native Londoners anymore. For the young man who said that the Irish would not become a minority and that it was a racist conspiracy theory. Firstly there is no longer such a thing as an Irish area anywhere in England. In London for example there is no Irish Kilburn, no Cricklewood, no Camden, no Archway, no Holloway Road, no London Borough of Enfield, no Luton. They disappeared 20 years ago. The native British are already a minority in many of the most populous cities in England.

Exactly.A walk through any of those areas (and I have done it) tells you that Britain has imported the third world en masse. And that has been to the massive detriment to their own people .I have the experience of having spoken to the natives so I know.On the Edgeware Road's lower half, it looks more like Baghdad than London.Four pubs have shut in the last few years, and have been turned into Halal serving establishments.

Micheal Martin said in a speech to the EU not too long ago that Ireland was not diversified enough and the idea of borders or sovereignty was out dated , he followed through on his promise to diversify Ireland to the point that the Irish natives are now becoming a minority within a couple of generations, his agenda of open borders to facilitate the invasion of Ireland has become an existential crisis, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are hell bent on selling out the people of Ireland to appease their EU masters , the result of the recent referenda shows that when the people come together to exercise their power we can stop this insanity , the next step is to oust every politician that supports open borders and the invasion of Ireland, the Irish people fought for centuries against colonialism and foreign occupation, the battle now is against our own government who are selling us all out and making life insecure for our children and grandchildren, all these politicians who endanger our future have to go asap.

I'm from Northern England, 30 years ago I used to live in a working class area where most people were White English, some Scottish, some Black/mixed race, a few Chinese people & a lot of Irish or Irish descent, Catholics, Protestants...all in together, we worked together, socialized in the Pubs, sports etc. I liked living there,we laughed & joked about differences but most got on. Then over time Muslims started getting the council houses, gradually at first, then came the Mosque & more & more moved in...
Fast forward to now, I moved out years ago because the whole area was changing too much for me, Pubs closing down & then being turned into Mosques etc.
Now theres only a couple of Pub's left & the whole area is Muslim, every shop, petrol station, Taxi drivers the lot. Lots of people moved away,Signs are now in Arabic etc it's like Pakistan !
The whole area is ruined forever, I only go there occasionally now for a drink with the old fellas, but it's almost a no-go area for non Muslims now.
I could name dozens of towns in England & Wales where the exact same thing has happened. I say all this as a warning !!
I like Ireland & a lot of the Irish people I've met were sound, down to earth & hard workers,i'd like it to stay as it is...

Only good if it's legal and proportionate to the native population and the services and housing available. Uncontrolled illegal immigration means anyone with a criminal background or intent can just walk in and put the country into more debt, meaning higher taxes for citizens.

I find the japanese example to be brilliant. No secret japan is one of the most xenophobic countries on the planet, being born to two foreign parents in Japan doesn't make you a japanese citizen either, the laws are strict and tied to a blood connection to the country. Look at Zainichi koreans, descendants from korean workers who went to Japan during the period in which the korean penisula was occupied by Japan, they to this day are discriminated against. They are seen as lesser. So no, some random foreigner born in japan is certainly not japanese and never would be seen as such.
