I'm 25 and a Patriots fan. Not that this past season was fun in any way, but I had this almost morbid fascination with the whole situation, like watching a terrible car crash in slow motion where you just can't tear your eyes away. It was like, "Oh, so this is what the rest of the NFL fanbases have gone through? Interesting."
Yep, other fans have been doing that the 20 years Brady was there.
Get ready for more of that.
It gets old real fast.
Take it from a Bears fan that grew up in MA, it is NOT interesting, its a slow grind to sadness and apathy that will basically force you to be drunk at 2pm every Sunday

As a Bills fan, my reaction to the game was that it was actually an improvement over the Giants game the week before. That's how bad things were looking for us at the time. Maybe I have stockholm syndrome but I kinda enjoy that these were close games with the Pats. It feels like a proper rivalry. I don't respect the Dolphins since we destroy them every meeting. While we split with the Jets, they are not really that serious of an organization. It kinda feels right that the Bills should be dueling it out with the Pats on equal footing and I wouldn't be surprised if we split again this year.
Hold on, we beat Denver and Pittsburgh. I’ll take wins over them every year

Yeah, I just want to see some improvment. Its gonna take time. We all have to realize that the Brady years were the best it will ever be here no matter how good we may get down the line. Just hope Maye turns out to be a solid starter eventually so we dont have to worry about the QB situation anymore. Also, if he doesnt get hurt again I think Gonzalez will be mentioned as one of the best DB's by the end of the year.
We didn't just draft Chad Ryland in the 4th round, we traded up to get him. Traded. Up.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
When you lose the game's best QB, the only route to go is down and fast.

Then you go down after that QB gets a career ending injury, endure 10 years of suck due to awful management and bad coaching despite some solid drafting, suddenly get good, then collapse again because you somehow now suck at drafting and hiring head coaches, but then get good again, only to turn into a perpetual bridesmaid team.

Now, Tom Brady was recently inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame.
I honestly think the Pro Football HOF should wave the traditional waiting period. His career was so strong and winning the most Super Bowls of any individual player is deserving of this.

As a Pats fan, that was super depressing. Even more so than the season itself. I was supposed to have a fun day snowboarding, but for some reason my board just refused to slide. So instead, I sat in the bar and watched the end of an era. Definitely had a few extra beers that day😔
I was at this game. Crowds were low, quiet, no moment to properly send off Bill... The entire thing felt weird.

Having moved to and having lived near Boston for more than a decade now, I am amazed at the passive-aggressive nature of the New England sports fan - especially when the teams are successful. Also, there were a good percentage of the Pats fan base that jumped ship with Brady's departure. They loved Brady and winning. Not the team so much.

As a Patriots fan, i feel very hopeful of Drake Maye, Ja'Lynn Polk, Kayshon Boutte, and Javon Baker as rookies and Christian Gonzalez and Matthew Judon after injury I feel like the pats will do a lot better this year
As a fellow Pats fan, I agree. The realist side of me says that they're probably a 5-6 win team based on the schedule and the offense being in rebuild mode (o-line is my main concern, especially LT). But if the D balls out and Maye + the young WRs show some promise, this could be a very interesting year for them.

Mostly accurate. Those of us old enough to remember what the Pats were like in the late 80s and early 90s have been down this road before. We were spoiled for two decades and now we're paying the price.
I am fairly optimistic about the future and the coaching staff change is refreshing. Also, Fire Ryland.

After the Bills won their first AFC Championship, I stood in then Rich Stadium and soaked it all in. But I also thought; enjoy this, it won't last. Little did I know there would be so much heartbreak over the next few years. Then at the turn of the century, the bottom finally fell out. Then came mediocrity for 17 years. If you are true fan of your team, the suffering tempers you.
