Very good package, and surprisingly light for that massive battery. Lyric puts a lot of thought into their designs, and the Lyric Voodoo was was on my dream bike list for a while. There is nothing significant preventing them from using the same circuit to activate regen and the brake light, and it will probably be working on the production version. I believe a brake light is required for registration is most states. As for the battery; as long as you meet your RPM per volt requirements for the motor, 60v can deliver a higher discharge current than a 72v with a similar number of cells, so I think they made a good choice. Thanks for the video!
I really like the design, it's retro, but more minimalistic, and they took the time to concentrate on great hardware, instead of going crazy in crazy.... suspension, tires, brakes, motor, even the cabling is so professional
Just pulled the trigger on the X! I have 3 other ebikes, one is dual hub, with 3 52v 22ah batteries. I ordered this bike direct from China while is a decent bike with very long range. It lacks the overall quality and has a very short wheelbase which makes it sketchy at higher speed. The Lyric X looks to be built for higher speeds and looks to be WAY better quality. Am going to sell my dual hub bike, as the X will be last bike I buy for hopefully a very long time. Looking forward to receiving in Aug!!
So I only had about 3 hours to film this review while I was in NY. It's a prototype that had to be somewhere else the next day. Typically if I have a bike in my possession for much longer I could do a more in depth review.
He is wrong on the weight of this bike. He said it is 72 pounds, but that is without the battery, and with the battery, it's 97 pounds. Then, at the end of the VIDEO, he said it was 120 pounds, which is NOT true. I would like to know the width of the tires and if they are on motorcycle rims. I would like to know who makes the front and rear shocks and whether they are motorcycle or ebike shocks. Also, are the front forks air forksbas advertised and are these inverted Forks? Front fork with only 120 mm of travel which is very disappointing becauae inverted forks are soooo much better because its soaks ups the bunps down by the wheels base rather than up higher, P-51 has 220mm travel Inverted which is why everyone loves the ride. The rear shock is very good, with 90 mm rebound with and adjustable. So it looks like the Front Fork is the main thing that would need to be adjusted, and that can cause from $800 ,to $1200 but will give a much better ride. Have no clue why he did the review in a parking lot,... it would have been nice to see him take off and see how fast take off was and how many seconds to 20mph and do a really top speed test. He should have had someone race aside him with the original Graffiti so we could see got ourselves the difference and not just being told.
@@RunPlayBack you are both Wrong.. the bike weighs 73 pounds without the battery plus another 24 with the battery making it 97 pounds. Go on the website and see for yourself.
controller is mentioned as ASI brand and if I got it correct the model it is 200 AMP controller. A bike shop put the bike on a analyzer at full throttle his Dyno read higher than quoted...it was 8100 watts output the video is on youtube from a bike shop called Area 13. By kirchoffs that makes it (not accounting for battery sag and losses at the wheel etc) around 135Amp output.
I had a graffiti on order but cancled it due to the crackdown going on on ebikes, not worth it to potentially have my $4k bike impounded/confiscated and a revoked DL. I bought a Genuine Roughhouse 50 instead goes 40+ mph unrrestricted and is 100% legal as I have it plated and registered. The Graffiti is a cooler bike not gonna lie but it's just not worth it as I'm pretty sure there are new laws coming and these things will be banned soon....Surron's wheren't the end of it. Guy in the video says the Graffiti can be registered not sure how I don't see a mention of a VIN# anywhere. I live in PA and this bike would have to be registred as a Motorcycle with peddles it far exceeds the power limits of any moped again I'd buy it in a hardbeat but it's not a legal ebike not in my state or most states not worth the hassle from police.
Yep, crack downs are on there way and this is well above . Sure it has a mode that lowers the power output but will not matter as the law states what it is capable of . One look on the motor itself clearly shows 3k watts . Nice e-bike though . Like that it is direct drive with enough power to make it work well as direct drive requires a good amount of power . Now , you can reduce to 750 watts but direct drive requires much more power or you will suffer huge with much lower torque .
@@jimjr9143 Absolutley it's a very nice bike and I almost bought one like I said but as a 40 year old man with a family and other more importaint responsibilities I can't afford to be in trouble with the law. If you're a 20 somthing guy with no family and single have at it I guess but the crackdowns are coming know the risks.
Thanks for the video. I'm confused though... you stated that it weighs 73lbs and the battery weighs 24 equals 97lbs total however in your conclusion you state that it weighs 120lbs.
Hmm I didn't notice but typically with motors of this caliber, there's no quick disconnect plug except for the hall sensor connector. Phase wires are usually wired direct into controller.

That thing is a beast! But what's up with the weird parking lot ride. Do a part 2 and test out how it rides on the street or a moderate trail.

9 magnet cadence.
You can adjust the pedal assist levels as well. If you want to feel a bit more resistance in the lower levels, you can set it to your preference!
