A few things about the demo model vs production model:
✅The side panels can easily be tightened, plus we changed the design to fit the shape of the bike better and be less flimsy.
✅The saddle will be bolted onto the production frame. We were attempting under-seat storage with the prototype, but had to scrap it in the interest of keeping the timeline, and to make the seat fit better.
✅The battery case was 3D printed. Production case is a bead blasted and anodized aluminum case, which is very robust and fits the aesthetic of the bike
✅We deleted the unused charger port. The production version will have a charge meter on the top where those empty holes are to check the battery level.
✅The throttle on this demo is different than the production version
Hope that helps!
If you don't mind me asking, what motor are you running?
Awesome to see the LG X being dyno verified! I pre purchased in Jan & can't wait to receive in August! All that power with pedals is what sold me. Pedals are absolutely essential for being allowed on bike path. Great review!
I have been involved in e-bikes for several years. 2kW is about the limit for bicycle parts. Higher power really requires motorcycle parts, which this has, looks good.
I’m watching this video while laying in bed as I have been for the past month with a fractured knee and fractured wrist. After thousands of miles of happy eBike riding I crashed my bike, going 14 mph. I can’t imagine what my injuries would be like if I was going 30 mph or more.
Had someone run in front of me at 10 mph laid it down and F’d my knee up. Like destroyed it been a year in recovery for a tibia plateau comminuted fracture. Knee hit pavement and got sandwiched between the bike and the road. Bike is a Hyper Scorpion. My leg will never be the same and walk with a limp. Back to riding though! Took a year with 3 months of that in the bed with learning to walk again with a walker PAIN! beginning to end‼️ Love watching ebike riders (stupid asses) acting like reality doesn’t exist caught up in that look at me fantasy. They crash at speeds they go and they die.
That's horrible and completely their fault
Get well soon. Are you all done with riding?
Excellent review Kyle, I've learned a lot from this as I knew little about motorcycle tire size compared to bike tires.
glad that you return back riding ebikes ... keep up
First time seeing your content. Nice video and edits. Captivating content and production
I'm considering an Emma 3.0 with 450 lbs capacity with trunk and two seater. Great review. Thank you for saving me 4k on this one.
I'm a sucker for a good drone shot! Great vid
Thanks! Me too
Great video great review rarely enjoyed watching.
Forgot to add... since it's direct drive you could/should add Statorade/ferrofluid and cooling fins and heatsinks/Hubsink
Definitely could use one or both.
Good job on the review!
Good points all and I hope they are listing about the throttle.
The throttle on this demo unit is slightly different, so should be good to go on the production version!
Goat power bike V3 is 45-50 mph fully stock.
Goat power video coming soon.
@Area13ebikes I have the V3, and it's a great bike. I'm looking forward to seeing your video about it.
The power goat is very high on my list. There are several companies that already make full frame batteries for it that will give you 75 total Amp hours. That would give the bike roughly an hour and a half at full throttle. 😳
@@140theguy it's the best ebike I ever owned.
Great professional review
"The faster I go, I would say the better it actually feels" - thats been my experience in life, generally speaking. Also, I like that it has a strong on center feel.
That's what she said.
Thanks for the vid! Did you get to test for highest pedaling speed on the fastest setting?
They have problems keeping their word, and counting items that you order and will short you on the simple things, i would think twice ordering from them !
It’s smart to think twice when ordering any item, my friend
Hi Mark, we always follow through in providing what is ordered if we make any mistakes. Not sure what your order number was, but we are human and make an error here and there but always happy to make it right
@@lyriccyclesGood to know! ☺️
We Need A Kickstand Safety Switch wired into the brake/motor shutoff circuit!
I'm lucky to be alive after a forgotten kickstand caused a wreck that resulted in a fractured C-1 vertebrae, ie, Broken Neck
Some may have sued but I was happy to be alive...
That's a really good point. Keeping up with the flow of traffic is definitely safer. They should rethink the speed limit for the classes in my opinion.
You are right keeping up with traffic is indeed more safe. I considered that model, but decided to build my own e-bikes, both 72v & one dual motor. Here in Central FL, no one is paying attention to any kind of bikes here. A guy already build his own 8kw mtn bike that topped out at 105mph.
Great review @Area 13 Nice show of power, speed etc.
WATT THE HELL! Thats a lotta grunt right there. Charlie Watts would have loved this thing
Awesome!!
I'm looking forward for the lyric voodoo 🚲
8 kilowatts of power⁉️
Nice❕
Nice bike man, Pricey, but nice. Are you going to review the Ghostcat F2.2 Pro?
Tell them to send me one
I like to rip around on my 50lbs bike that can hit 40+. Because it’s so light I rarely take it over 30 though. Motor is 3500W and like the controller, it’s multi voltage capable. I can use a range of batteries that I already have, so I can strap on a small Ah for short distances, or larger for longer distances. The larger battery (72V) actually helps with stability because it mounts on the center top bar.
I had guessed the motor would be roasting. On my bike it is called 1500w.. same dimenson motor. capped at 31mph...been to 38 just once. that is a great motor, diverse.
Hey Kyle! Nice review bro! I had that exact bike before you did to film my review… Did you have any issues with the fenders? I snapped both 3D printed ones that were on the bike…
I did not but they said they won't be printed for production anyway.
Yeah should be more “bendy” plastic…
Wow! I want one
I would really like to see this compared to the Ristretto 512 cyc middrive Ebike.
Kyle , i hear tariffs are about to kick price Way up . Love your insider info on this
awesome video thanks man i ordered the black one tuesday, what helmet are you using there?
Last version of the ruroc.
thanks for sharing.😉
Can you do a review on the BIGNIU Electric Bike 2000W Dual Brushless Motor?
How are you filming this a drone amazing job looking forward to your other videos immediate subscriber❤
Sides probably going to make a storage area of some sort under seat and probably why it feels loose, could be haven't yet finalized hardware for it. What about distance?
That was the plan! Had to scrap it this time around due to timeline constraints, but hopefully something we can incorporate in the future!
Wow !! I wish I could buy that...
Sweet bike! But, would have to be tagged in Oklahoma. It costs a bundle for license tags and insurance on my motorcycles. I like my folding ebike for hauling to park trails in my car and no registration or insurance costs... Also, emopeds are not legal on bike trails here....
Can you open up the case and show us the battery and controller? What is it running? Any idea? Order in tomorrow depending what it is. When is delivery supposed to be happening?
We are running Samsung cells, and an ASI BAC 2000 controller
Thanks again for the review Kyle!
How does this compare to the Ristretto 512?
I honestly would like to know if I bought one in Canada and it was restricted in speed .if I had the option within the settings to max 45 mph it out obviously at my own risk
It will ship at 20mph ebike speed (32km/h in Canada). Then you can unlock to access top speed
Did something on the Graffiti X break while reviewing or did the damage happen during shipping, When it went from you to the next destination it arrived making a bunch of clicking noises on the front end
The rider before me crashed and broke the front fender. Don't know what the clicking was but was there for me too.
I'm torn between this bike and the Motor Goat. How do you think they stack up?
Good video. Was just wondering why your 8,000-watt ebike won't go 100mph like E-bikeguy?
If he's going 100mph he's got way more power than 8kw.
Hot glue is actually pretty great for waterproofing, and there’s a black version.
That was just a prototype thing as we changed our power port type later in the process to fit better.
Price? Available in Europe?
Sweet!
A Harley has about 90 hp which is equivalent to 90 x 745.7 or 67,300 watts , so 8000 watts is 8000 watts / 745.7 watts/hp = 10.7 HP or about 1/8th the power of a Harley. That is equivalent to about a 175 CC motorcycle which outputs 8,300 watts (FYRO 175)
Definitely love high powered ebikes but I really think you should gear up as if you're on a motorcycle. I have a bike no longer sold that I bought here in Canada with two 52v 20ah batteries and dual 1000w motors. It hits 60kmh and I have been riding in just a T-shirt in the hot weather recently. But I realize how unsafe and ridiculous that is, if I crash the helmet isn't going to do a whole lot except maybe prevent a fatal injury. Thinking about just riding it as a normal lower powered ebike(can change the settings to limit motors to 500w) until I can get more than just a helmet. I feel like I'm going to be miserable geared up but I'd rather do that than be bed ridden for months. Cool video anyway, If I had the money I'd definitely grab one of these no hesitation.
The site says 3000 watts. Where are you getting the 8000 watts from? Are you referring to peak wattage?
They claim 7200 watts peak. My dyno shows 8kw peak power.
It’s a 3000 watt nominal system and we advertise 7200 peak. Similar to how we advertise 45mph top speed and every reviewer is over that speed. Happy to see this review shows we are living into our marketing/specs and then some.
@@lyriccycles Thats some strong affiliate partnering. I think it shows real merchant dedication to see the company rep step in and answer performance spec questions on their own product out in the buyers Either. Thanks for clearing this up!
nice. crazy fast but a100lb bike!? not crazy about it but a big win having a belt drive, rear motor/brakes operation you mentioned , motorcycle wheels & tires ...that I wish installed on my dual battery Ariel Rider Grizzly; which I believe runs just as fast, and IMO better looking bike (upon upgrading tires, pitch both fenders and installing bmx handlebars).
Hey Kyle, great video that Dyno test was super impressive, but I would love to know what your actual top speed was on the bike because it seems as if you are a bit lighter than Mike and closer to my actual weight. Thanks
I feel confident saying 49mph on a full charge and 150lbs.
Close to a Sur Ron with a pedal kit.
It's ok for now but in 2025 new ebike laws will limit speed to 20mph on class 3 bikes. Government has nothing better to do but to mess with bicycles now.
They'll do everything to make sure we are stuck with Gas powered transportation! No matter how successfull these EV transportation vehicles, GAS giants will always comes out on top. Not trying to be political but it is the bigger picture.
This is where we need a switch on ebikes, that limit and ultimate the bike with just a push
its not a bicycle its a motorbike
@@FattyOn2Wheels if it has peddles it's a bike with a motor..
Despite taxes being higher than ever, you're still getting more government than you pay for. Worst deal ever
How does your dyno read the 8kw of phase amps? Its 4kw normal amps for their bac4000
The dyno only reads horsepower and torque at the wheel. It doesn't measure amps or volts (not yet anyway)
This bike uses an asi bac 2000, our Voodoo uses the 4000
Coming to a local park or street by Jonny. What else is a 14 year old to do when his parents are at work. But he’s such a good brat
I sure hope not. Definitely too fast for most teenagers.
That is 11 horsepower but with electric motor torque.
Does it come with side body bags?
Crash Trap Cycles 😂
Not trying to throw shade here but, my scooter is only 6000 watts max, and It tops out "officially" at 44 M/h(I've had it up to 46 with a quick flash of 47, on flat ground, no wind). Just figure 8000 wats should be able to hit say, 60ish?🤔
edit - By the way, I'm in Canada and can say we sell all sorts of e-vehicles with well over 500 watts... that's just something Lyric does, I guess by choice? (My scooter is made and sold by a Canadian company(Apollo Scooters), and as I said, 6000 watts max... even nominal motor ratings are 1250 per motor, (2500 watts total).✌🏼🇨🇦
It's all legal in California, as long as you slap a 750W sticker on the motor, lol. I've got 16" dual sport tires on my XP 2.0. Getting flat tires has gone way down. Now if Lectric had better more durable rear wheels on their bikes, I'd be all set. On a recent 14.79 mile ride, I literally broke 8 spokes in the rear wheel by the time I got home. Let's just say it made for one really, really long TH-cam video. I could've and should've probably made 3 videos out of it but I've got a couple of viewers that like really long videos. It's hard trying to keep everybody happy.
8000 watts it should do over 50 mph realistically if otherwise it's geared for torque
Honda Navi performs similarly for half the price and is a reputable established brand. Both legally require license, registration and insurance. Not to mention no range anxiety with gas stations everywhere for the navi. Hondas run forever and do the math on the battery of this bike. Number of charge cycles times miles per charge, maybe good for 20k miles? At this point bikes like this make no sense unless you insist on the novelty of having an electric bike.
I want dual 8000w motors.
Just get an eride pro ss with pedals lol
45mph should be legal and standard to keep up with traffic in a city environment.
If you're going fast enough to warrant a motorcycle helmet, then you should also be wearing motor cycle riding gear.
You come off that a 40mph you'll get road rash down to the bone. Crikey Moses!!
Yes! It should be allowed! What kind of silly question is this?
😆😆😆
Does the controller go up to 72v?
It has the capability yes, we don’t warranty changes to that voltage but it’s possible but would require a new controller tune
BAC2000 can easily take 72v, I built a bike with 52v and it is capable of ripping the drivetrain apart with just 52v. It is a midrive and will do over 50mph. You have to shift gears and go easy on it on the low end.
Torque is 27% greater so it is more like a quarter greater, not a third.
Bunch of hills and high speed you have to stop and let this bike cool. In hot weather. I Think this might be the weak point. Achilles heel. Needs a potted controller and cooling fins on the motor. Heat sinking.
Should it be allowed??? Absolutely.
Just as long as it's classified as a motorcycle and not a bike...because I didn't see a lot of pedaling going on.
😂😂😂
ONLY pedal when you see cops 😝
The faster you go, the better it feels when you crash. 😅
You can put all the pedals you want on these things but this is exactly why laws and insurance and plates and licenses are coming. 40mph on a "bicycle" is ridiculous.
Allowed? But you have that thing on your head called hellmet, you should be save :))
this has the same power to weight as a 2023 Acura mdx type s with no rider 😉 lol
The faster your bike, the more regulation you should be subjected to.
People casually make 35mph bikes & call them e-bikes. That's legally a moped across all 50 states & would be subjected to registration, insurance, etc. Why are people afraid of paying more for doing more?
I think this issues revolves around riders coming to terms with "e-bike" & "pedal-motorcycle". Treat it like a motorcycle/dirt bike & this solves 99% of an individuals concerns.
I'd much rather have a no limit motor, pedals, & be treated like a vehicle, instead of being banned from everything because I act like a motorcycle & don't pay for it.
The slowest ebike should be able to keep up with traffic.
Agreeee
Wrong
It is a bicycle they do not go as fast as cars.
The should go as fast as none e-bikes.
@@MumfordJim speed wouldn’t be needed if bike lanes were everywhere and bicycles were respected.. I want speed to not worry about being clipped or hit by an impatient car driver
@@DriverJ-N you get it, the fear of getting run over because there is no bike lane, and you can't go fast enough to get out of a sticky Situation.
@MumfordJim It is something you need to try to be able to experience it, I also said keep up with traffic, I did not mean highway traffic.
ITS HAPPENING! NJ is proposing legislation requiring registration and insurance for ebikes. Partly due to 20% Spicolis like this. Thanks numbnutz.
Gosh I hate that ALL the e-bike reviewers live in Flat Land City. I guess top speed on flat is important to you guys, but torque and speed on 9-12% hills for a football field or two several times in a 15 mile ride... that's what I care about (So Cal Coastal). I hate that even with a 52V system (Revv1 52V40aH 35A) I am dropping to ~ 15mph and stopping up traffic when there is nothing more than a minimal and uncleaned bike gutter (not a bike lane). With a bike like this a responsible adult is not going over the speed limit with it. Hey I can his 42mph on my skinny tire road bike going down a hill no problem.
Yeah, with this type of bike... full Moto helmet, get some mirrors, a Garmin Varia and a Ride Free Brake light on your helmet with any bike like this.
And yeah... It's not a motorcycle... it doesn't have a clutch, doesn't have gears and it's doesn't struggle at low speeds due to 400+lbs of weight; all you have is a front and right brake with an twist throttle. It's far simpler and safer for an average user to use day 1, ride 1.
At $4k it's kind of a steal (Direct drive, 60V40aH, MT5e, DLR, turn signals, brake lights)... but I think I would buy a used Onyx RCR.
If you want to actually pedal this is 10x better than the rcr
We have hill climbs on our channel plus other reviewers doing 15% or more grades showing the bike can maintain a 40 mph+ speed up major hills
Great! Another SirRon with less ability to do jumps with. Price?
He said $3,999
@@R_Jon - Thanks bro! Not bad, but I'll wait. $3300 and I might be in.
@@JKinLVNwhy not goat power bikes motor goat v3 then? This graffiti x is faster than a surron btw but yea not a off-road bike like the surron
I prefer this to the surron because it’s more legal lol😂 and faster and quieter..
@@DriverJ-N - I also looked at the Goat. Right now, the Wired Cruiser looks like the best choice for what I'm looking for. It's only $2K, but it looks totally street legal, with 3000 peak watts, dual batteries. Looking street legal is fairly important.
Like 👍
Buy it now while you can
It’s fine if you register and insure it as a light motorcycle, as that’s what it is.
It is well beyond the class 1, 2, 3 categories of ebikes, and will only invite more restrictions on those ebikes if this is ridden on paths and bike lanes.
Most states already consider this type of vehicle as a moped or light motorcycle. I see it has front turn signals, but it also needs better rear turn signals, side mirrors, a place to mount a license plate on the rear and a VIN to be able to register and insure it.
Wise of them to equip it with more robust motorcycle rims and tires as I think most riders will use it in “off-road” mode.
Cool. Another fast bike no one can buy..
Tbh only 45mph with all that power is slow it should be twice as fast 70mph +... plus it's useless if the BMS of battery fails moped style ebikes "can not" be pedaled home bc the frames are too heavy.. it's like a dead tesla!
No!
Only ride this fast on a motorcycle manufactured by a reputable company ie Honda, Ducati. NOT an E-Bike made by a garage shop.💀
Should have included the reputable e-motorcycles dealers. My Zero is twice this toy.
Wired bike, 2k massively lighter, dual motors dual batteries (60v) 42 MPH unlocked, full off-road suspension 26 x 4 inch fat-tire Kenda knobbies. SORRY, YOU LOST!🤣
I think if you saw them side by side you'd think the wired feels "cheap" in comparison.
If you had slapped on a turdyoter sticker and said turdyoter built the bike, that turdboi will be drooling on how much badass the bike is……just a business tip😆
Just put pedals on a motorcycle, since that is what it is..a motorcycle.
The onyx rcr is faster 65mph
Out of business...
Not legal, Out of class. Not an E bike. Not a motorcycle. This is the type of promotion that is jeopardizing the e bike opportunity.
Consumer Product Safety Commission laws, by our US government...
Where I live they give two flips about the ebike laws, if it has pedals it is a bike. I blast around on a mountain bike doing 50mph all day long. Have one of these on order.
I can hit 44 MPH on my 750W Ebike that peaks at 1000W.
With over 7000 Watt's you should be able to go 60 or 70mph easily.
I don't think you have this bike fully unlocked.
Your power or speedometer is off. 1000w won't go 44mph.
@@Area13ebikes It sure will going downhill. Verified it on my phones GPS and all my settings are manufacturer recommended. Only thing I changed was turn the intensity to max and speed limit all the way up.
I weigh 240 pounds though so I have more momentum going downhill than a lighter person would.
@@HighguyMcfly well downhill is a different story... and doesn't count.
I do rewind and reconfigure motors, 1000w could go such speed with my modifications but other than that, it's impossible.@Area13ebikes
@@Area13ebikes Top speed is top speed man, but if we're talking flat she still goes 35 MPH before I start to ghost pedal. Thinking of putting a Shram Eagle on it with a bigger front sprocket and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to go even faster.
i HAVENT EVEN WATCHD THE VID YET WHY WOULD U TITLE IT THAT DAMMITTT I HAD TO CLICK IT BITCOIN GOLD ALL A PLAYYA KNOWSS 😂😂😁😁🤣🤣
Faulty safety logic .
Going faster on a bike is not safer than going slower on a bike.
Yes, but, going with the flow of traffic, IS safer than being an obstacle.
@@larrybowers64 Yes going the same direction as the traffic is going is the law. Traveling at speed of a bicycle as opposed to standing still is safer because it increases driver reaction time.
The trade-off is that increase speeds increases likelihood of the kinds of accidents that rarely injure cyclists.
They should make electric motorcycles better now instead of bikes.... there must literally be a way cause theres this....
It's not.
Out of class. Not a legal E Bike, Consumer product safety Commissions laws for e bikes. So, it’s an illegal motorcycle, technically. As motorcycles require VIN #’s, DOT brakes too. Insurance, registration…
There are ways to make it legal....
@@Area13ebikes Well, not as an E Bike, like your showing…This is why out of class bikes are being scooped up by the cops now.
Just get legal. Work with getting light electric motorcycles legal. A new classification, like we did to get e bikes legal.
