    I am considering the EX90, R1S and EV9. The rest are either too expensive, short range, or having quality issues. And I don't recommend Tesla, their 3rd row is too small to fit adults.

    • @TheAutoObserver
      @TheAutoObserver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like you've done your research and have a clear idea of what you're looking for in an electric SUV. The EX90, R1S, and EV9 are all solid choices, each with their own unique offerings. And you're correct, the third row seating in Tesla models can be a bit cramped for adults. Remember to consider other factors as well, such as the charging infrastructure, warranty, and after-sales service. Happy car hunting, and let us know which one you end up choosing!

      I hear you but have to ask how often does one have 6 adults in a car? Unless the wives coming back from a night out with the GFs. Ive never had 6 adults in my SUVs before. My family of 6 chose the Y over the Moel X. has plenty of room for 4 teens and 2 adults.

    Hard to buy any of these upstart EVs until they’ve proven that they can be profitable. Rivian, lucid struggling with cash flow , hence can’t trust vinfast yet (although love the car). I’d rather take the volvo ev90 or Kia EV9

    • @TheAutoObserver
      @TheAutoObserver  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a valid point! Investing in a new electric vehicle from an upstart company can seem like a risk, especially when it comes to long-term profitability and reliability. It's completely understandable to want to choose a well-established brand like Volvo or Kia, as they have proven track records in the automotive industry. Both the Volvo EX90 and Kia EV9 are fantastic options for 7-seater electric SUVs. At the end of the day, it's essential to choose the vehicle that best suits your needs and gives you peace of mind. Happy car shopping! 🚗🔋👍

      You make a valid point! The current dominance of Tesla in the electric vehicle market has allowed them to set premium prices for their vehicles. However, as you mentioned, many other automakers are stepping up their game and introducing exciting 7-seater electric SUVs that could compete with Tesla in terms of price, performance, and features. This increased competition is likely to drive down prices and provide consumers with more options to choose from, which is a win-win situation for everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing how the electric vehicle market evolves in the coming years!

      As much as I would like to agree with these comments, I’m afraid I disagree. Unless you have owned and driven at least one other electric vehicle in the same market as a Tesla, then you would know there are significant differences in a Tesla that are not present in the competition. The quality of interior and chassis are just two of them. I have not driven any other electric vehicle that has an infotainment system like Tesla (excluding Mercedes, but I class them as premium and not wide consumer vehicle).
      Plus the technology that goes into making a Tesla move, is NOT the same tech that makes other manufacturers develop vehicles, the FRUNK being a perfect example of how engine and motors are removed from the entire body of the car, allowing for additional space. I could go on; I’m not saying Tesla is the perfect company, and perhaps their latest releases have been slightly higher than market expectations, but I would say justifiably so.

    Really? The Volvo XC90 at number 10?? Best buck for your money right there when it comes to quality. Besides that the XC90 has the best head room and leg room for those in the third row out of all of them. The Rivian might be the only true competitor to that. And this Volvo car brand just like Toyota doesn't die easy unlike Mercedes.

    Problem with EV is that if someone goes far in to the wild for camping, then there will be a problem with the recharging, and another problem is the charging time itself and in case of emergency it will be frustrating , so to cover that lost time some might drive furiously, which might be hazardous to themselves and surroundings. These are some of my concerns. Well, need to consider from all the angles as well. On the other hand, the ICE vehicle as we drive the petrol or gas decreases, making the car weight lighter and lighter and lesser fuel consumption. Also, easy to refuel within no time anywhere anytime. EV one way is environmentally good but the battery manufacturing and mining is bad for environment too.

    • @Alexi7666
      @Alexi7666 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would EV range be extended with a lower numerically final drive? Tesla uses a 9:1 final drive which gives the Tesla great acceleration. But I think most people would be willing to sacrifice quarter-mile time for more range.

    • @TheAutoObserver
      @TheAutoObserver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You raise valid concerns about EVs, including recharging in remote areas, longer charging times, and environmental impact from battery manufacturing and mining. It's essential to consider all angles when exploring sustainable transportation options. Both EVs and ICE vehicles have pros and cons, and we need to work towards solutions that balance environmental impact and practicality. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🚗⚡️
