- This is the worlds nastiest smelling catfish bait. I used this catfishing bait while fishing for catfish, and it was used side by side with fresh cut bait. This horribly smelling catfish bait was tough to handle. The smell was atrocious. Lots of catfish fishermen use stink bait, but this stinking catfish bait was on another level. Many people believe that smelly catfish bait works better, and that catfish want bait that smells bad. On this trip the nastiest bait I've ever smelled did not work.

Just wanted to say thanks! Newbie to cats, you got me off treble hooks (last treble mess last weekend - taking out of my kayak fish box completely...hate those things.) Fish a little 200 acre State park lake so smaller fish. I'd switched from blood mush to shad mush to quit catching too little and get 18-20" 2.5 lb keepers. Your chicken breast got me two 24" 6 lb last weekend! You definitely upped my game...and taught me how to do thick leaders and snell my own hooks - never needed that knowledge with bass and crappie. Wife says these fresh cats taste way better than store bought or restaurant. "Nasty bait" LOL!!! What a fun video ;-) keep 'em coming!

I use lemon juice and rubbing alcohol mixed. It’s the only thing that seems to get the mullet and herring stink off.

I've never had great success with ultra-stinky stuff, whether it be shrimp, chicken, liver, cut bait left to "ripen", I always caught more fish on fresh, with chicken lives definitely the freshest works best.

One of the best days I have had catfishing was using cut mackerel that had been sitting in my boat in a tupperware box for a few days.

I had trouble with people smoking outside my apartment windows and blowing it into my apartment. I got a bottle of liquid A$$ on Amazon. I will bet it will go head to head with your spoiled bait for smell and nastiness. It cured the smokers of suckin eggs.
I bought some of that stuff like fifteen years ago and let some guys at work have at it all the offices off the factory floor smelled when the dayshift supervisors came in. The nightshift guy got left alone and my area also got left alone too
Harbor freight has some of those mechanics rubber gloves for pretty cheap. That's what I use for cat fishing. I typically use livers or stink bait out of convenience. I might start trying to get myself some bluegill and see if I can catch a fish on one of those.

You think that smells bad? You should smell some of the rental units I have to turn over. Evicted tenants often get creative when leaving their final middle finger to the management on their way out. Last week it was a leaky garbage bag full of rotting meat that had been puddling up on the floor for 2 months in the summer heat. Even the catfish would have gagged. Folks at the office asked me what I thought would get the stink out, I recommended a hydrogen bomb.
I can imagine some people are complete jerks….
Wow! Outstanding Flatheads, Lucky to get that fish in the boat. I accidentally unplugged my Dads freezer with four hundred pounds of fish fillets in it. It was unplugged for a while maybe a month. Believe me I know the smell…yuck!
My sisters freezer got unplugged once. shrimp... I plugged it back in and cleaned it out two days later when it was frozen again.

Lots of channels in my area waters, and they love punch baits. Pretty stinky but not enough to get you sick.
I have friend who makes a bait called Catfish Crack . He catch’s a lot of fish .
I don't get people that use really stinky fake bait when fresh cut up bluegill out fishes them. I usually catch gills in the ponds below the dam and then fish above the dam at night and do pretty good on channels.

I have had great luck with ham and hot dogs, especially Vietnamese beef balls, but if I try to use old cut bait (bad like what you used), or ham that has gone south, etc.. basically rotting meat, seems like the fish don't like it. Turtles on the other hand... that is when you catch a snapping turtle and lose a rig!

I caught 3 of the biggest catfish of my life yesterday all on crank bait will bass fishing one was north of 30lbs I posted the video titled CRANKBAITS AND CATFISH
Do you use only the head on cut bait or everything?
If your fishing from the bank, how do you get them to take the bait and not just nibble at it? Because I was out at the pond and I got two good bites one snapped my leader that’s another question, but I had plenty of bites but I feel like I would just take it out it’s mouth every time.
Downsize your bait.....you may only have small fish.
@@DieterMelhornThe pond is a private pond, but there’s also a river that will flow into it and there’s been more than 50 25+ catfish pulled out.

If fishing the Ohio River out of a boat you can use more. I live in Ohio but i go by Kentucky laws when fishing the Ohio River. If I go up a Ohio tributary I go back to Ohio laws.
