Dieter, I have that same multi-bar set up on my boat and love it. Once locked in, it doesn't move. It's an hour to the water from my house, and after a year of pulling the boat back and forth and operating on the water, it's still locked in place.
I have a similar set up with quick disconnects on the rod holder holder. I’m on the river do it is easier to net at the back of the boat where the current pushes the fish up. Keep a crescent wrench with you as no matter how tight you have that far left holder it will eventually spin with a big fish or snag
Thank you for the videos, especially the equipment reviews. Love looking at the new equipment without going out in the cold. Hopefully we’ll see you at the catfish show
Great video. You've got me wanting to get out, but I told the boat it was 18 degrees today and she refused to come out of the garage. I even offered to give her some of those sexy Multi-Bars you have and showed her your video, but still NO 😢
Hey Dieter great Sunday morning video, nice fish , totally agree on the accessible path to back of boat .Things can happen fast ,don't care to be doing a lot of climbing. bars look great.💯👍
We are are iced over here. Can wait until the weather breaks up. Could ID your chicken poles with colored yarn or some of your choice so you always spread them evenly. Just a thought.
This is the type of content I enjoy. Speaking of gear on the boat, have you done a review of your boat? I'm always keeping an eye open for a similar type of hull (Crestliner, PolarKraft, Alumacraft, G3, etc.) I'm limited to a 16-18 foot. My 1654 Tracker Grizzly just doesn't have the freeboard to tangle with the open water parts of the Intracoastal Waterway. A JonBoat hull doesn't work well for me. Your boat appears to have room, freeboard, and a good ride. The Grizzly isn't the same as your older boat, but its flat bottom probably rides similarly. My back can't take it anymore (I'm an OG). Can you help me identify the length of your boat and how you would evaluate it against the Carolina Skiff (Good/bad)? Is there any wood on it? If I had a bigger boat I'd have a pair of those MulTbars.
How did you mount your mulTbars to your gunnel? looks like you didn’t have access to add a nut and washer underneath the base. I’m looking to mount mine but thinking I’m going to have to toggle boat or go with a similar option as I can’t get my hand underneath to add nuts and washers
Just realized this was yesterday. I'm always trying to figure out exactly what day you where on the water just to compare notes. How do you feel about announcing the date or day of week in your videos. Just curious.
Do you still get just as many bites on the chicken when anchored or is it better when the bait is moving, being dragged. I'm not good at all at drifting. Seems to get snagged immediately
@@joshrushing1294 thats a great question, that while I have not fully documented and researched, I believe there are more bites overall on chicken when drifting. It's complicated as to why I believe that, but it will make for a good video!!
Thanks for the response brother. This is why I absolutely love watching your videos. You don't just fish, you're always doing a comparison trying to learn something new or just building data. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!! keep the great videos coming and pay no attention to the haters... Peter Belhorn SMDH😂😂😂
One of the best purchases I have made. Love mine
That was fun, boy your waters are so much calmer than I get on the Tennessee River. 👍
It varies by the day and time of year….😉
Yeah lol try Lake Norman around the first of the summer 😖

It’s performed great so far…..
On the port side I put the jam nut below the rod holder. Helps keep it in place as well.

Nice video, you have made a believer out of many people on the chicken. Good luck with the Lund
Some will disagree about the chicken, but facts are facts. 😉

Good feedback!! Hoping to change the game up a bit this year.
That is a good winter trip right there!!
It was actually filmed before it got really cold…..
Great job Dieter!!!
this is what I love about your videos , good yay's and nay's and explanation s to back up with what your saying . for this rookie thank you .
No matter what the product is, even if someone is paying me to use it, I’m not gonna overlook the bad points when I review it.
Nice video bud that 42 was a good one man !
Fishbite holders offer left hand threads for those on that side for that reason.
I locked the nuts down on these and they’re performing great…
Great video.

Ya, we all have set-ups we like, and everyone is different. Thanks for watching!
Thanks
Dieter I like the setup. Would change several annoyances I have with my one piece bar setup I presently use. Thanks for the heads up.
It’s a really functional product if you have a boat…..
Looks good Dieter, Love your vids
Thanks for watching, and I’m glad you enjoy the content!
I was wondering g when ya was gonna get the boat set up looks good
A little lockstep wouldn't hurt to help those rod holders.

I have not done a complete boat review yet…..that’s on the menu!!!
