I'm not sure if the potatoes were raw or not. But I was told by the vet to never feed my dogs potatoes. I doubled checked to see why and this is what I found out - You should never feed your dog a raw potato. ... Like tomatoes, raw potatoes contain solanine, a compound that is toxic to some dogs. However, cooking a potato reduces the levels of solanine. You clearly love those babies. I just can't tell about the potatoes.
Aww, Niko can’t reach the food on the plate. The table is too high for her. That’s why she is either putting it on the bench or not trying to reach for the pieces. Anywho, it’s great to see their routines haven’t changed so much with the new addition. They are good babies.

Can I add that I've swapped my two dogs, massive older Shepherd and a Retriever pup, onto raw food and they're thriving. I give them some wholegrain rice and pasta with it a couple of times a week and they have veg and mixed frozen berries with it too. They tend to love the Turkey, Beef and the Chicken. Interestingly and favourably their poops are half the size which is a blessing and their coats are beautiful. I definitely recommend it. You might want to get a small chest freezer so you can buy in bulk though.
I've fed my dogs raw (barf) from about 12 to 14 week old but I have read that about stools and if your dogs stools are now half sized I would need a bin liner lol to pick up my babys poop I've got a large chest freezer for my pack but you never no maybe they might want to feed them fresh everyday but now its summer feeding them it frozen must be nice for them I always feed mine straight from the freezer all year round apart from when I'm sharing a large chicken between 3 only because I cant chop it up frozen I use to buy them fresh chicken wings in bulk refrigerated some and freezed rest whole

The table may be too high for Niko! The higher the neck is, the more the chance is that the doggie will choke or be uncomfortable. I'd try the bowl and then a low platform.

The stashing is a rare technique in dogs were they haven’t evolved as much because there ancestors would hide there food and save it for later so he might like the carrots.
A R liver is an organ an a lot of people do not like it. For my dad it’s more because he grew up with liver and onions as a meal most nights because that was a cheap meal for a family of 7, he didn’t like it back then but he didn’t have much of choice... nowadays he avoids it at all costs. Animals are different though but some still don’t like it. I knew a husky mix who would spit out anything that even remotely tasted like liver. My cats don’t seem to mind liver, but definitely prefer actual meat. I guess in domesticated animals liver is still either loved or hated lol.
Boiling the meat would help our pets digest the meat and stay healthy than having a raw meat. However, these are the best AMs that I have seen ever in TH-cam. I love Phil, next Niko and then Milo.... Overall, I like you guys who take care of these pets and show excellent love towards them..... BTW, how's the baby doing.... Wish You all a Very Happy New year 🎂🎂🎈🎈🎂🎉
MrSasec northern breeds including wolves are able to digest raw meat better then other types of breeds. Buuut I do agree with boiling slightly for less”hearty” breeds it lessens the chance of disrupting their digestive system. I had wolf and hybrid they have enzymes that help to digest raw meat with no issues.
Just an fyi, avoid giving Phil cruciferous veggies around the same time as his thyroid meds. Cruciferous vegetables negate the effectiveness of the thyroid meds if they are consumed within a short span of time. The good thing is Phil likes veggies so he will eat them as a treat. I used to feed my lab yam, apple, carrots, green beans, blueberries and some watermelon in the summer. He loved it. Happy New Year.
