  • Developing your upper body strength, particularly your arms will certainly help you become a stronger player. And this is one thing you can develop, even if you are at home.
    Working on your arm strength is important for badminton. Strengthening this part of your body will not only help you make strong smashes or clears, it can also help you avoid injuries. Since we use our dominant arm so much in this sport, overuse can happen, and you might even get hurt. This workout will help you develop this very important part of your badminton game.

    Great video and people often neglect upper body strength and conditioning for badminton specially the rotator cuff exercise. Everyone should do these regularly.

    Hi. Your videos are very useful.. Just want to know a small doubt. I feel pain elbow after a 1hr of play. Is that because,I dont have power with my arm or because my raquet is head heavy.(78grams)

    • @MacHarrysonThePlayMaker
      @MacHarrysonThePlayMaker ปีที่แล้ว

      I think 78 grams is consider quite light. In fact, 84 grams is light already. I'm not a coach but im under guidance of junior coach so you can take my advice with a grain of salt. Usually the problem lies, on your technique of execution. For example, one of my technique which is smash that i regularly execute with bend elbow put quite a lot of stress on my shoulder and after few games i couldn't play even lob ball. You may want to review back by recording how you play and see which area can be improved in term of technique.
      Cheers!

    Hi Mam kindly share the arm strengthen exercise for 6 year old kid

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These videos will help give u ideas. However, i would still consult with a coach face to face before letting a 6 yr old do different strengthening exercises. A 6 yr old needs to be assesed first to be sure all exercises will be beneficial for the young player. These are just ideas:
      th-cam.com/video/c81DRAjA4l0/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/Th3ni7Tqp3U/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/MjrrzbvYwys/w-d-xo.html
      For 6 yr olds just make it fun and allow them to play with it:

      Try to talk to your coach and ask why your program is so. It could be that your coach is working on your good stamina first then progress to more drills from there😁🏸
