Amazing riding & so cool you ran into Lenosky out there! I need to re-watch all your Az vids, Sage. I'm headed there in October & bringing my bike! I'll be in Surprise which has White Tank Mtns, Skyline Regional Park close by & just a little further is Estrella Park. South Mountain is just under an hour away. 😀
Soooo jealous Mark. I expect a full report on White Tank and Skyline ;) Jeff was amazing to watch and was super gracious with his time. Such a class act! Thanks for watching and commenting brotha, means a lot.
Those trails look nuts which means the are 2x the nuts in real life. Good job conquering those lines. I too was able to ride with Jeff on a group ride a few months back (vid on my channel) and you are absolutely right. So down to earth and just a nice guy.
The GoPro effect was 100% real, lol. I ride some pretty gnarly stuff but this had me getting off the bike a few times. And yes, Jeff is an absolute stand out! I missed that video on your channel, I will check it out now.
What a ride! Love the bloopers, holy mackerel! 😂It looks like a great place to build endurance with that 200 climb! Awesome video Sage and nice to meet more who ride on TH-cam!
You just dig right in!! You and Danny did great on those hills!! The penalty is death! No joke!! Cool you ran into a legend Jeff Lenosky! A Lenosky special!! Really cool! Looks amazing and brutal at the same time! Good run downhill toward the end! You have to be on your game for sure! Wow! Great job Sage!!! 💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks Kirsten, it was truly a special experience for sure! Already dreaming of going back and getting some of those sections I missed. Thanks for watching!!!
Great video! Holbert is SO gnarly!! Video actually captures just how tough portions of that trail are. And how easy Jeff made everything look!! TrailBoss is legit!!! Awesome dude too. Such a great day. Stoked to have these videos to relive the fun!!
I just made a mountain bike video riding at Waldo in Southbury, CT. I jokingly made a comment that people were comparing me to Jeff Lenosky. This was right after it took me a frustrating 8 tries to ride a simple skinny. Ha ha! Great video!
Ha! I know what you mean. Most folks have no idea how many takes we do just to get something clean. I include bloopers at the end of all my video just for this reason. Thanks for watching and commenting Andy!
Death-defying insanity on two wheels! No big deal - it's just another TrailSage video! LOL! Awesome footage as always! Love the bloopers - keeping it real! Keep pushing my friend!
Finally had some time to enjoy this video and man, riding out there is wild...everything looks so...sharp haha. Then all that "high penalty" riding with all that exposure! I've also seen a few of Jeff's videos, definitely still a small world in the MTB scene no matter how big it is getting.
Thanks for taking the time to watch this one Zane. I know it was a little longer than my usual stuff, but there was so much great footage I had a hard time cutting it out, lol.
@@TrailSage I definitely know that feeling on the longer ride videos. I just haven't had any time to sit and watch for some time! I gotta say though you make a lot of that tech climbing look too easy man don't forget to struggle a little for us😂😂
@@TrailSage 100% will. I was supposed to be in Micheaux today... took a really really bad spill yesterday on a monster jump, I'm mostly okay but taking a recovery day.... but I got it on video😉
Oh Jeezzz... The Add that ran as the video started featured a dude running that looked like you Sage. I was proper confused for a good few seconds there trying to figure out what was going on... Hahahaha... Super video as always mate. That Holbert trail looks like the business! Just the jank ness of awesome-ness that's so much fun to ride!
Wow, what a trail, Sage! Beautiful filming, you made guys! Amazing clip! So nice to meet Jeff, this great channel! Subscribed and watched his Boss on Holbert too! Beautiful bloopers as always, dear friend! 🌞
@@TrailSage you got it man! Yeah, I haven’t been riding much. Just been busy and getting everyone’s schedules aligned has been difficult. I’m not much for riding by myself anymore and prefer to ride with others.
Great video Sage (as always). Those "chunky" trails in the desert are amazing! And what an honor to meet Jeff Lenosky!!! Dude, with all that amount of bloopers that you showed us at the end, editing this video must have been a lot of work. I will now take a look at Jeff's video.. Stay safe bro.
That was a great adventure Sage. Those amazing trails and the technical sections, just wow! Really nice, I stopped by Jeff's channel and saw you in a video, that was big cinema my friend. You rode brilliantly on the rocky section and Jeff cheered you on, which I really liked. As always, a fantastic video and excellent content from you. Thanks for that and keep up the good work. Thanks Christoph! Jeff is a pretty well known Pro MTBer and TH-camr, and it was great to run into him. He was so kind and helped us through a couple of those technical lines. Thanks for watching brotha!
Absolutely incredible riding, really enjoyed this one! Taking the Mojo 3 to the limit! Nobody can accuse you of being over biked, that for sure. Way to rep. Are you sure the JL meet-up was an accident? I think your some kind of ringer Sage, haha.
@@TrailSage All good brother. I'm uploading a new video real soon. Workload is neck high lately. Thanks for checking. Thanks to your high quality videos they always make me hungry for the outdoors.
One of my coworkers likes mountain biking, and he was telling me that a lot of ski resorts open up their mountain to mountain biking in the summers. His favorite destination is Grand Targhee. Do you ever bike down ski areas?
Yes, we call them downhill parks. There are a couple good ones near me, but nothing compared to the mountains out west I'm sure. Thanks for watching Michelle.
My first time going down those steps on my '96 GT hardtail I went OTB and landed in a patch of cactus. My chest was hamburger. Worst wipeout of my life.
There is so much potential for a mtber to go sailing off the ridge and down the cliff on either side to their death it's not even funny. If this is a dual use trail that is insane. Any moron can see the danger posed by this being a dual use very technical trail on a ridge. A mtber would have to burn up their breaks to avoid high speeds going downhill and maneuvering this trail at slow speed would be difficult at best. Once more with all the bumps tight blind curves etc there's no way you can guarantee being able to see a hiker in time to avoid an accident even going slow if bikers and hikers are both allowed here. Besides, you would have to be very focused on maneuvering to avoid crashing meaning you would be less focused on watching for hikers. This being a dual use trail would be like putting a bike lane in the middle of the interstate. One or the other biker or hiker should not be there if I had to guess. And as for which you don't know unless you KNOW this trail. Anything you say about who belongs there is an assumption based solely on your perception feeling and thoughts not actual knowledge.
I can understand your concern as this is a very difficult trail. Yes, it is a multi-use trail. I always try to make sure bikes are allowed before we ride anything. Thanks for the question.
