The black pauldron isn’t actually cloth, it’s more accurate printed. It’s an additional shoulder plate for heavy troopers
Impressive customs there (thought it was some sort of April Fool’s prank, so you got me). But, I really want my hands on the new Bo-Katan figure that will be releasing soon!
Just another 5 or so months
I tried so hard to think of an April fool and I got nothing, though I think most others where the same cause I didn’t feel like there was any good jokes this year
I put yellow and then the metallic gold epaulettes (2526) on Thrawn as well and he looks so good. It also kinda hides the yellow on his shoulders.
You can improve a lot of these by buying from Clone Army Customs. In some cases more accurate waistcapes, as well as better helmets for most of the bad batch, and a custom arm for echo.
Lofi in the background is amazing
Honestly Grievous having legs backwards ticks me off much more than it should lol.
I almost went and bought a bunch of pieces from Firestar toys the other day…until I saw the shipping was $20 for me 😂
8:29 i think the "old" hairpiece is much more accurate to the way bo katan looks in tcw. If you're going for the clone wars look what would look best would be a ginger version of the old anh luke hair.
edit: i just realised the first attack of the clones obi wan kenobi figure (all the way back when they had yellow skin) came with this orange hair piece

One more way of making your minifigs a little more accurate, specifically tech: stand on a chair and drop him from shoulder height xD

Nice customs but I have one problem that I saw in this video. You have General Grevious legs backwards.
1:29 A much cheaper version for the cloth piece is cutting out the outline of it on paper or thin pieces of fabric from old clothes

For the Bad Batch, Echo needs cloth and back packs from Clone Army Customs really helps and the custom screwdriver arm

Facts, I'm scared of every video I watch today
I feel like the BB could still be improved. A proper waistcape would look better for Echo and I feel like giving them actual backpacks would look better. Just like the current snowtroopers, they look way too flat from the side.
It's kinda nuts how big of a difference the pauldrons make for the new clone troopers. Even if the prints on the hypothetical UCS Venator Rex are amazing he'll most likely be missing the pauldron and skirt bits. At least there are third party companies that are willing to fill the massive gap. Great vid.

I might do the Thrawn one if I ever find the legs on a BaM container.
besides the dual molded legs, I also switched out Thrawn's weird dark blue hairpiece for 64798 in black. Way closer to his original look. For a younger Thrawn (Outbound Flight) I'd use the Tony Stark / Poe Dameron hairpiece
Here's some bonuses and corrections for you guys if you want.
1. That wasn't really much of a shoulder pad, it was actually a piece of armor attached to his ammo bandolier strap helping connect it to his chest plate, commonly used on Biker Advanced Recon Commandos, aka BARC troopers.
2. The best move for accuracy on the basic 187th trooper would be to get an unofficially printed torso without the bandolier and shoulder armor. However, the shoulder armor and bandolier would work nice for more 187th officers (lieutenants, captains, other commanders, all that.)
3. THIS ISNT A CORRECTION OR BONUS, WHAT WITCHCRAFT DID YOU USE TO KEEP THE ANTENNA IN THE HELMET
4. Next, the weapons. I personally don't own any of the unofficial lego star wars blasters, so if you wanna get the unofficial ones, i will leave the blaster names to possibly help, and more help using official pieces. This is the longest part because of the sub-parts, i apologize.
4a. the blaster on the 187th commander: DC-15/DC-15A, name may depend on what your preferred brand calls it, the terms are usually used interchangeably, try to get the one that looks the most like a bigger rifle
4b. the blaster on the basic 187th, same sort of names, if you're confused, get the one that looks like a carbine/submachine gun
4c. although the 501st heavy has a vertical double-barreled shotgun, if you want the true Battlefront 2 accuracy, get the DC-15a rifle i mentioned earlier, or a Z6 rotary cannon. For official pieces, try to look up how to build a lego minigun for the Z-6, or you can use the same instructions they give you in your instruction booklet on how you get the specialist's rifle.
4d. The 501st Specialist actually would use more of a sniper rifle, for Battlefront 2 accuracy, get something along the lines of Valken 38X. For official pieces, i'm stumped, i think you could just put another black candle piece at the end of the other candle piece?
4e. there is actually a more accurate official piece, try to get one of the clone pistols from older clone wars sets or your average brickarms pistol to fit the Officer's pistol. Same thing for Echo's pistol and Tech's pistols
4f. For Bo-Katan, would either keep the current piece for official pieces, or if you want the unofficial pieces, you would try to look for a Westar-35
4g. For Crosshair, your unofficial piece would be a 773 Firepuncher, or just keep the basic official piece. If you want the modified one he uses in the first episode, you'd need Lego's "Tommy-Gun" piece and you'd extend the barrel a bunch using stuff like candle pieces.
5. (CONGRATS YOU MADE IT PAST 4!) For Grievous, if you're going with the 2003 Clone Wars one, keep what you have. If you're going for the other Clone Wars show and Revenge of the Sith Grievous, try to get an unofficial (or official given they may have one) tan printed Grievous.

I have desert skiff boba fett with olive green helmet instead of sand green helmet. but the jet pack is sand green.. I think lego test the olive green in boba's helmet but end up in sand green...

The rigid plastic skirt piece is a good way to shape the cloth skirts.

@@brickbanditstudios6037 adore the stretchy cloth but I’d easily take even papery cloth over no cloth. At the very least dual mold the legs so the color continues past just the front

I do think clones are neglected when it comes to detail, they don’t do cloth pauldrons for them any more which is sad. They do need to make a better tech helmet, his is MASSIVE.

I'm pretty sure the airborne trooper doesn't actually have a pauldron, the troopers in ROTS just have a panel on their chest
You should check out „the cape cantina“, they have cloth specifically for the clones and the quality is very good

Tbf the first Airborne Trooper isnt supposed to have a Pauldron. You can see he got a Strap on his Chest (like Bacara). So not giving him an pauldron would fit more. Also it isnt accurate to wear both pauldron and strap

I'm not trying to make this comment a hate one, just saying that for the 187th clones, you didn't need to put a shoulder cloth on because the printing is accurate to the old toys, it's just an armor piece, but their your figures and you can do whatever you want to them, cool video though

Her clone wars and rebels appearance sports a jetpack that is mostly grey/silver with a single stripe down the middle (and has nozzles).
